Hunter Biden Subpoenaed Over Burisma, Two Dozen Other Entities As Part of Four Investigations

By Zero Hedge Sunday, December 13, 2020

Hunter Biden has been subpoenaed by federal investigators over his involvement with at least two dozen entities – including Ukrainian gas company Burisma, according to the Associated Press, citing a ‘person familiar with a Justice Department tax investigation.”

News of the subpoena follows a joint announcement from Hunter and his father Joe Biden’s campaign last week which acknowledged that he was under investigation for tax fraud, with the Washington Post noting that Hunter had yet to be interviewed by the FBI or served with subpoenas.

The subpoena, issued Tuesday, covers a wide swath of Hunter’s taxes and international business dealings – in what could be a serious case against the Biden family (or a serious attempt to put a DOJ ‘bow’ on the ‘matter’). AP notes that it’s unclear if Burisma is a central part of the investigation – despite Joe Biden admitting on tape that he had Ukraine’s chief prosecutor fired during the same period as said investigator, Viktor Shokin, was investigating Burisma’s founder for corruption.

The subpoena also covers Hunter’s Chinese business dealings and other financial transactions. AP also notes that Hunter fell under investigation in 2018 – knowledge which somehow didn’t leak from the DOJ until after the 2020 election. During the election, of course, Hunter was completely off limits – with a virtual press blackout on the subject, and President Trump receiving a sharp rebuke from debate moderator Chris Wallace for bringing it up.

The probe was launched in 2018, the year before his father announced his candidacy for president. At one point in the investigation, federal prosecutors were also examining potential money laundering offenses, two people familiar with the matter told the AP.

Hunter Biden said he only learned of the investigation on Tuesday.

The younger Biden joined the board of Burisma in 2014, around the time his father, then vice president, was helping conduct the Obama administration’s foreign policy with Ukraine. President Donald Trump and his allies have long argued, without evidence, that Hunter Biden’s work in Ukraine influenced the Obama administration’s policies toward the Eastern European nation. –Associated Press

Meanwhile, Fox News reports that there are currently four investigations into Hunter.

We’re sure Kamala Harris is genuinely concerned over the outcome of this investigation and hopes it doesn’t result in Joe Biden’s unceremonious exit from the teleprompter scene.

You may ask why would the FBI hang onto possible evidence incriminating the Bidens for over a year only to acknowledge the laptop and now a second laptop seized in February after that information was reported by independent sources?

MEMO: Kamala Harris Implicated in Hunter Biden’s China Energy Company Scheme

By National File Sunday, December 13, 2020

In a story that received next to zero coverage in the mainstream media, an internal email/memo from Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden’s brother, Jim Biden, to the hierarchy of SinoHawk Holdings, the partnership between the CEFC China Energy Company (CEFC) and the Biden family, cataloged a rich list of “key contacts” that included then-US Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), and other high-level Democrats and Progressives.

The memo was sent from Jim Biden to James Gilliar, Tony Bobulinski, Hunter Biden, and Rob Walker with the subject line, “Phase One Domestic Contacts/Project.”

Jon Miller joins Patrick Howley to expose the attacks by RINO’s on Trump supporters.

The “key contacts” listed in the memo outlining associations for Biden family business venture projects included:
Get back in the game, jump on our major sale at the store now!

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA)
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY)
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN)
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA)
Former US Senior Senator Al Franken (D-MN)
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
California Governor Gavin Newsome (D)
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D)
Former Virginia Gov. Terry McCauliffe (D)
Former Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton (D)
Former California Governor Jerry Brown (D)
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio(D)
Mayor of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti (D)

As a byproduct of the mainstream media’s willful refusal to cover the story, Harris was never made to address the issue, let alone answer any probing questions into her possible relationship with the Bidens in this matter.

Hunter Biden’s business associations with several Communist Chinese nationals, according to the Senate Homeland Security and Senate Finance committees, have “resulted in millions of dollars in questionable transactions.”

As part of an investigation conducted by the committees targeting Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings, it was also discovered that Hunter Biden opened a bank account with Gongwen Dong, whom he described as an “emissary” for Ye Jianming, the chairman of CEFC, which bankrolled a $100,000 international spending binge with his uncle, Jim Biden.

Hunter Biden, admitted in a statement this week, that the US Attorney’s Office in Delaware has an active investigation ongoing into his “tax affairs.”

A government source with intimate knowledge of the matter told reporters that Hunter Biden is a subject/target of the grand jury investigation, indicating that the investigation is focused on the commission of a crime.

Re: Hunter Biden - 12/14/2020 06:10 PM

The GOP has an incredible tool to investigate the Biden scandal. What is that tool? The United States Senate.

Quote
China, Ukraine, tax fraud, corruption, and federal investigations. After a year of partisan attacks and obfuscations, media smears and derision, and Big Tech censorship and de-platformings, this week the Hunter Biden protection chamber finally collapsed.

As reporting by The New York Post, The Daily Caller News Foundation, James Rosen, Tucker Carlson, The Federalist, and others continues to pile up, corroborated drip by drip, so too do the questions for both the incoming Biden administration and the former Obama administration. Fortunately for interested U.S. senators, the two administrations are stacking up to be virtually identical — and they just might get the chance to ask a few questions.

Among Joe Biden’s intended nominees are former White House Chief of Staff and Deputy National Security Advisor Denis McDonough, up for Veterans Affairs; former Deputy National Security Councilor and Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken, up for State; and former Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Director of the CIA Avril Haines, up for director of national intelligence.

Then there’s former Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas — an apparent expert at wielding government power to help connected Democratic politicians — up for Homeland Security. And let’s not forget former Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel, who might get Transportation (although not if the left has anything to say about it).

All of these positions require Senate approval, and during the Obama years all of these people were in position to know a little — or a lot — about the vice president’s ne’er-do-well tag-along son and all his pastimes.

Step one for Republicans? Start with the facts and ask these sterling Obama-Biden veterans to acknowledge the reporting on Hunter’s alleged infractions. There’s more than a year of it already out there, and despite the Democratic-big tech-media campaign to suppress, discredit, and censor good reporting and even government statements, the now very-public grand jury and Department of Justice investigations demonstrate that earlier suspicions were at least worth digging into. Unfortunately for these nominees, by mid-winter 2021 even more will be known about the investigations, and what they’re uncovering.

Nominees before the Senate will have the choice to claim ignorance, cop up to the grimy details, or try to push back. No matter which door they choose, they’ll face some very awkward questioning.

This is just the start. Who will be named for attorney general? It matters less if he were in a position to directly witness — or have direct knowledge of — Hunter’s profiteering from compromised Ukrainians and Communist Party elite; it matters most if he will publicly recuse himself from any role in the actual investigation. Hint: The answer to recusal will have to be “yes” if Republicans keep both their spines and the Senate.

Further, will the nominee for attorney general commit to ensuring his deputies do not interfere with any investigation? Bonus hint: The correct answer is once again “yes.”

It’s a commitment that ought to be posed not just to the potential attorney general, but to every nominee who is in a position to interfere. When it’s an investigation of an American citizen’s actions across multiple countries over multiple continents, that’s going to be a lot of commitments from a lot of people in a lot of places.

But how could anyone be sure the investigation is above board? That is, unless a special counsel were to be appointed. The idea isn’t simple partisan vengeance, although there would be some historic poetry to it.

Senators have real cause for concern: After all, the attorney general from the administration Biden is seemingly rebuilding once publicly bragged about being “the president’s wingman.” And what kind of wingman prosecutes his buddy’s kid for selling influence to foreign adversaries?

There’s time to have a laugh at all this, but it is deadly serious business. The United States has been under attack from China for decades, and might be in an actual shooting war sooner than we’d like. Joe Biden’s son rode his father’s White House plane to China to make millions allegedly peddling influence to powerful members of the Chinese Communist Party. Far from a game, there are potentially serious ramifications — and a serious investigation is needed.

The good news for Republicans — hardly an artistic bunch — is they don’t even have to write a script. The script has already been written for them.

Re: Hunter Biden - 12/16/2020 04:32 PM

Trump may appoint a special prosecutor for Hunter Biden. This is another one of those "anonymous administration officials" story, so take it with a grain of salt.

Quote
President Donald Trump is considering pushing to have a special counsel appointed to advance a federal tax investigation into the son of President-elect Joe Biden, setting up a potential showdown with incoming acting attorney general Jeffrey Rosen.

Trump — angry that out-going Attorney General William Barr didn’t publicly announce the ongoing, two-year investigation into Hunter Biden — has consulted on the matter with White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, White House counsel Pat Cipollone and outside allies.

That’s according to several Trump administration officials and Republicans close to the White House who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss private matters.

Beyond appointing a special prosecutor to investigate the younger Biden, the sources said Trump is interested in having another special counsel appointed to look into his own baseless claims of election fraud. But if he’s expecting his newly named acting attorney general to go further than Barr on either matter, he could end up quickly disappointed.

Barr on Monday evening announced he will resign effective next week, revealing his plans about a week after Hunter Biden publicly disclosed that he was under investigation related to his finances. It is generally Justice Department policy not to disclose investigations that are in progress, though the subjects of those investigations can.

Rosen, the deputy attorney general, will step into the Justice Department’s top job in an acting role. A longtime litigator, he has served as Barr’s top deputy since May 2019 but largely shies away from the spotlight. He said in a statement Tuesday he was “honored” to serve and “will continue to focus on the implementation of the Department’s key priorities.”

Trump is still weighing his options, considering whether to pressure Rosen to make the special counsel appointment or, if needed, to replace the acting attorney general with someone more likely to carry out his wishes. He has even asked his team of lawyers, including personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, to look into whether the president has the power to appoint a special counsel himself.

A key question will be whether Rosen can stand up to presidential pressure — and potentially withering attacks — in the waning weeks of the Trump administration. If not, Rosen could be cast aside in favor of others more willing to do Trump’s bidding.

Believing that a special counsel probe could wound a Biden administration before it even begins, Trump aides have urged the president to push for one, which would make it so the investigation can’t be easily stopped by the incoming president. No firm decision has been made....

Attorney General Barr says he doesn't see a need to appoint a special counsel. Thank God he's leaving in a couple days.

Re: Hunter Biden - 03/19/2022 05:02 PM

Hunter Biden is likely to be indicted. At least according to Clint Lancaster, the lawyer for the mother of one of his children, former stripper "Dallas" Roberts.

Quote
The lawyer for one of Hunter Biden's former lovers says the president's son will likely be indicted for tax fraud.

"I expect him to be indicted," attorney Clint Lancaster told CNBC on Thursday. "Just based on what I saw in his financial records, I would be surprised if he's not indicted."

Lancaster represents former stripper Lunden "Dallas" Roberts, the mother of Biden's three-year-old daughter. He is basing his prediction on the "significant amount of Hunter's financial records" that Roberts turned over to federal investigators.

Biden revealed in December 2020 that federal prosecutors in Delaware were "investigating [his] tax affairs." The New York Times has reported that the probe is investigating whether Biden broke laws on foreign lobbying and money laundering. Biden had shadowy foreign business dealings, including with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, while his father was vice president.

"I had his Burisma pay records," Lancaster told CNBC, referring to the records his client gave to investigators. "I had records of ultimately what Burisma paid into the United States."

Biden, who refused to acknowledge his child until a DNA test determined his paternity, has not "seen his daughter with Roberts or expressed an interest in doing so," according to Lancaster.

As of December, President Joe Biden still refused to acknowledge the daughter as his seventh grandchild. The White House declined CNBC's request for comment.

Re: Hunter Biden - 03/20/2022 04:51 PM

I was curious about why the New York Times came out with this story now, or in fact why they ever came out with it. After all, the Times, like most of the mainstream media, really isn't much more than an arm of the Democratic Party. Why would they give the (cough cough, Right) so much new ammunition?

Unless, of course, they've finally just given up on Biden. They've come to realize that poor Joe is simply unfit for the job, and that everyone knows it. The Times can read the polls as well as politicians can. If the Democratic Party is to have any hope of success in 2022 and 2024 - or even of just minimizing the damage - then Biden and Kamala both have to go.

How will this be done? I don't know. But be on the lookout for a lot of subtle hints, and maybe more bombshells, about Joe and Kamala in the coming weeks and months. Things are going to get interesting in the Democratic Party.

Here are the eight Biden scandals laid bare in Hunter's pornography-filled laptop. And they're Joe Biden scandals, not hunters. Joe Biden is a lying, dog-faced pony soldier - but we all knew about that one.

Re: Hunter Biden - 03/23/2022 05:37 PM

Now The Federalist agrees with me - The New York Times is trying to get Democrats to dump Joe Biden.

Quote
It is painfully obvious, as was predictable, that Joe Biden’s presidency is a dumpster fire. As demonstrated by the party’s destructive callousness towards children, the elderly, and the poor during their Covid lockdown frenzy, Democrats care about none of these real-world results of their policies. But they do care about polling, and Joe Biden’s is abysmal.

According to even heavily politicized polls, Biden is at least performing as badly as Donald Trump. Biden is between the third- and fifth-most ratings-underwater president ever in American history at this point in his first term.

[Linked Image]

Biden of course also has the advantage of a wildly favorable press and social media monopoly while Trump had the strong headwind of a wildly negative one. That factor obscured for a great many of American voters actions that easily demonstrated long before his election that Biden was unfit for the presidency.

Now that he’s president, however, and very publicly bungling essentially every major issue all the way up to U.S. national security, Biden’s weakness and incompetence have been impossible for the corrupt media to entirely cover up. Biden’s appalling withdrawal from Afghanistan may have been the first major blow to public confidence in his governing ability, and it’s been followed by blow after blow: the repercussions of ending U.S. energy independence, historic inflation caused by massive government spending, aggression by America’s foreign foes, a tacitly open border with human trafficking of historic proportions, not to mention fueling America’s legalized mass killings of unborn infants and forcing schools to inflict gender dysphoria on the children in their care.

So yes, the polls look bad. That’s why Democrat officials suddenly switched away from their Covid mania, lifting mask mandates in blue states, ending the daily falsified “body counts” on TVs and newspapers, and jumping immediately into European war hysteria. But that’s not been enough to turn those polls around. Historic indicators presently suggest a “red wave” in the upcoming midterms.

That brings us to The New York Times’s recent “limited hangout“: its highly suspicious, very late acknowledgment that, hey, that laptop containing evidence that Joe Biden is just as corrupt as his son Hunter Biden told Russian prostitutes — that laptop is real, and so is its data. Yes, the United States’s top foreign adversaries likely have blackmail material on the U.S. president, and likely paid him some very big bribes.

Oh, and yes Twitter and Facebook did use their global communications monopolies to rig the election for Joe Biden by hiding this information (and who knows what else).

Why would The New York Times do this — and Facebook and Twitter not ban this information release just like they did before? Well, one explanation is hierarchy reinforcement. As I wrote Monday, like forcing their “minions” to wear face masks, the ridiculously belated laptop confirmation also equals the ruling class “flexing their power to say things they won’t allow their political opponents to say.”

There’s another explanation, though. It’s that Joe Biden is no longer useful to the ruling class. After being used to win an election, he’s now making it impossible for them to credibly foist on Americans the idea that his party could win another one with him on their masthead. The donkey is showing through the lion skin, and so they need a new donkey.

So while it seems utterly legitimate to insist on accountability such as appointing a special counsel to investigate the Biden family’s apparent corruption, that also could relieve the Democrat Party of their greatest liability. They’d probably deeply appreciate that, in fact. Biden got the ruling class what they wanted, and they don’t need him any more. Getting rid of him now would in fact be highly convenient for maintaining their power.

There’s only one problem with that. Kamala isn’t at all going well for them either.

Enjoy that bed you made for yourselves, Democrats. I hope it’s at least as uncomfortable as that bed you’ve made for all the Americans whose long-term outlook is more suffering, thanks to Democrats’ criminal prioritization of power for themselves above all else.

Re: Hunter Biden - 03/27/2022 11:02 PM

Hunter's laptop had DOD encryption keys on it, in addition to a mountain of other incrimination evidence. Why would he have these encryption keys? Good question.

Quote
The ongoing analysis of the hard drive of Hunter Biden’s laptop has revealed that there are multiple Department of Defense “encryption keys” on it. These keys allow access to DOD email accounts and databases. The exact number of these keys is still unknown. There may be dozens.

The keys are known more formally as “root encryption certificates." Some of them appear to have unusually long expiration dates with many lasting twenty years or more. Such keys should not be present on a personal laptop of any kind, and there is no known reason that Hunter Biden would be in possession of them at all.

The keys were discovered only recently by Jack Maxey’s technical team working in Switzerland. Shortly after the discovery of the keys Maxey contacted the U.S. Embassy in Switzerland and reported that he had information that might compromise American national security and would like to talk to someone in the Regional Security Office to report what he had learned. His contact information was taken by the person with whom he spoke, but no one has ever called back to obtain the information in his possession.

According to information provided to Maxey, DOD is now aware of the presence of the keys on the laptop’s hard drive, has determined that the keys were still active, and has taken steps to cancel them.

An IT technical expert advising Maxey’s team has speculated that the keys present on Hunter’s laptop might have allowed Hunter to create throwaway email accounts on DOD servers and thereby route personal and business communications through those servers to escape detection. Such an arrangement would be in effect a much more sophisticated version of Hillary Clinton’s use of her “homebrew” server to evade monitoring of her communications while she was Secretary of State.

This is a developing story. We will provide updates as they become available. It bears worth emphasizing at this stage, however, that Hunter Biden’s laptop has been in the possession of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) since well before the 2020 election. If the information currently in Maxey’s possession from DOD is correct and encryption keys giving access to DOD systems were still active until Maxey and his team discovered their presence and reported them, that would seem to suggest strongly that the FBI has never bothered to investigate what is on the hard drive.

Hunter Biden’s investment firm partnered with Ukrainian researchers to “isolate deadly pathogens” using money from Obama’s defense department

(Natural News) An investment firm headed up by fake “president” Joe Biden’s son Hunter was a leading financial backer of a plandemic tracking and response company that was identifying and isolating deadly pathogens at bioweapons laboratories in Ukraine.

Hunter’s firm Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (RSTP), a subsidiary of the Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinze-founded Rosemont Capital, received funding from Barack Hussein Obama through that regime’s Department of Defense (DoD), The National Pulse confirmed.

Both Hunter Biden and Christopher Heinz, the stepson of former U.S. Secretary of State and current Biden regime “climate czar” John Kerry, are managing directors at RSTP.

Among the many companies listed in archived versions of RSTP’s portfolio was Metabiota, a company that claims to detect, track and analyze emerging infectious diseases. Metabiota, as we reported, has been conducting biological experiments in Ukraine, Africa and elsewhere at the direction of the Pentagon.

RSTP’s first round of funding came in 2015 to the tune of $30 million. Former managing director and co-founder Neil Callahan, whose name appears numerous times on Hunter’s infamous laptop, sits on Metabiota’s Board of Directors alongside former Clinton official Rob Walker.

In July 2021, Metabiota, Hunter and his investment firm, and EcoHealth Alliance worked closely with Tony Fauci’s National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), as well as the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China where the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) is believed to have emerged.

The Pulse revealed that not only has Hunter Biden been involved in plandemic financing and other operations, but also that much of it was done in Ukraine, where Pentagon-run biolabs litter the land.

These Ukrainian labs to which Hunter is connected handle “especially dangerous pathogens.” And the U.S. government is funding them with American taxpayer dollars, is the gist of it.
Has the Biden crime family syndicate been profiting from the creation and release of deadly bioweapons?

In 2016, U.S. military officials and their Ukrainian counterparts met to discuss “cooperation in surveillance and prevention of especially dangerous infectious diseases, including zoonotic diseases in Ukraine and neighboring countries.” This was several years before the Fauci Flu appeared.

At this meeting were representatives from the Biden-linked Metabiota biotech company, as well as agents from the DoD, Black & Veatch, and other Biden-linked groups and entities.

“The meeting focused on existing frameworks, regulatory coordination, and ongoing cooperative projects in research, surveillance and diagnostics of a number of dangerous zoonotic diseases, such as avian influenza, leptospirosis, Crimea Congo hemorrhagic fever, and brucellosis,” a summary of the meeting explains.

Various government contracts were forced to funnel cash into Metabiota and the Ukrainian biolabs, which used it for “research projects.” One such project involved isolating strains of deadly pathogens such as the “virulent African Swine Fever Virus.”

These labs also worked with anthrax, which was tampered and experimented with using dogs, much like how Fauci’s coronavirus research experiments were performed on beagles.

A paper about the anthrax project claims it was done “to better understand anthrax epizootiology in Ukraine,” where samples were collected from wild boar serum. These samples were then tested for antibodies to B. anthracis to assess whether the animals were associated with “livestock anthrax hotspots.”

A Ukrainian researcher named Artem Skrypnyk, affiliated with Metabiota, worked as the Veterinary Project Coordinator under Biden before moving on to work as the Technical Officer for Laboratories at the World Health Organization (WHO).

It turns out that Metabiota has an office in Kiev, which is among Vladimir Putin’s military targets.

“The revelation surrounding President Joe Biden’s son’s financial involvement with Ukrainian biological laboratories experimenting with pathogens, animals, and anthrax follows The National Pulse unearthing Metabiota’s ties to EcoHealth Alliance, a key entity in the origins of COVID-19 and cover-up efforts,” the Pulse reported.

A witness in the Hunter Biden grand jury was asked to identify the "big guy" in a planned deal with a Chinese energy conglomerate. Will the "big guy" be included in the conspiracy investigation?

Quote
A witness who testified before the Hunter Biden grand jury was asked to identify the “big guy” in the first son’s planned deal with a Chinese energy conglomerate — as calls ramped up to have President Biden included in a conspiracy probe.

The question arose after the witness was shown a piece of evidence while appearing in secret before the panel in Wilmington, Del., a source familiar with the proceedings told The Post.

A bombshell email exclusively reported by The Post in October 2020 showed that one of Hunter Biden’s business partners, James Gilliar, outlined the proposed percentage distribution of equity in a company created for a joint venture with CEFC China Energy Co.

The March 13, 2017, plan included “10 held by H for the big guy?”

Another former Hunter Biden partner, US Navy veteran Tony Bobulinski, later revealed that “the big guy” was Hunter’s dad, then the Democratic candidate for president, saying, “I have heard Joe Biden say he has never discussed his dealings with Hunter. That is false.”

Hunter Biden disclosed he was under investigation for his “tax affairs” shortly after his dad was elected over former President Donald Trump in the 2020 election, but the probe broadened to include potential money laundering and the violation of lobbying laws, according to recent reports.

In the wake of last week’s report by the Washington Post — which confirmed $4.8 million in payments from CEFC to entities controlled by Hunter Biden and first brother James Biden during 2017 and 2018 — the White House on Sunday attempted to distance the president from his under-scrutiny kin....
