Breaking: CNN Reports Trump Considering Martial Law

President Trump is considering invoking martial law over mounting evidence of foreign efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, according to a CNN report.

President Donald Trump convened a heated meeting in the Oval Office on Friday, including lawyer Sidney Powell and her client, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, two people familiar with the matter said, describing a session that began as an impromptu gathering but devolved and eventually broke out into screaming matches at certain points as some of Trump’s aides pushed back on Powell and Flynn’s more outrageous suggestions about overturning the election.

Flynn had suggested earlier this week that Trump could invoke martial law as part of his efforts to overturn the election that he lost to President-elect Joe Biden — an idea that arose again during the meeting in the Oval Office, one of the people said. It wasn’t clear whether Trump endorsed the idea, but others in the room forcefully pushed back and shot it down.

During this same meeting, Trump reportedly discussed appointing Powell as a special counsel to investigate the massive election fraud.

White House aides who participated in the meeting, including White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and counsel Pat Cipollone, also pushed back intensely on the suggestion of naming Powell as a special counsel to investigate voter fraud allegations Trump’s own administration has dismissed (or, as seems more feasible, hiring her in the administration for some kind of investigatory role). Powell has focused her conspiracies on voting machines and has floated the notion of having a special counsel inspect the machines for flaws.

Another idea floated in the meeting was an executive order that would permit the government to access voting machines to inspect them.

If these reports are true, Trump would be wise to consider invoking his 2018 executive order drafted to combat foreign election interference rather than martial law, which could set a terrifying precedent.

White House Splits Over Special Counsel, Martial Law Amid Aftermath Of SolarWinds Breach

The rift between members of the Senior White House staff is now as public as it is wide, after CNN reported an Oval Office meeting between top Trump staffers, including Trump Campaign Attorney Matt Morgan, Attorney Sidney, Powell and General Michael Flynn, the de-facto leaders of the grassroots movement fighting for election integrity, that allegedly included arguments over a possible voter fraud Special Counsel investigation and martial law to restore election integrity.

Matt Morgan has previously been blamed for the campaign’s lackluster initial handling of the numerous claims of election fraud in the early hours of Wednesday, November 4.

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and White House Counsel Pat Cipollone were present at the meeting and reportedly pushed back against the notion of naming Powell as special counsel to investigate the widespread evidence of mass voter fraud in the 2020 election.

According to CNN, the conversation also included discussions on the possibility of enacting martial law to ensure election security, an idea that General Flynn suggested earlier this week on Newsmax. Some individuals in the room reportedly argued against it.

The idea of enacting an executive order to access and inspect US voting machines was also discussed in the meeting. This could possibly be a reference to President Trump’s 2018 executive order titled Imposing Certain Sanctions in the Event of Foreign Interference in a United States Election.

These developments arise amid the aftermath of the devastating SolarWinds cyber attack. As the unprecedented breach made its way into public view, DNI John Ratcliffe announced a delay in the release of the official report on foreign election interference due to new intelligence surrounding Chinese operations information, as National File reported:

Gateway Pundit reported that the FBI, Texas Rangers, and US Marshals had allegedly raided SolarWinds headquarters in Austin, Texas, but this has not been confirmed, although John Basham clarified later on Twitter that “They Had A Building Full Of Agents, Rangers, & Deputy Marshals (Primarily FBI Agents).”

As the joint statement reads, the agencies issued an Emergency Directive which instructed federal civilian agencies “to immediately disconnect or power down affected SolarWinds Orion products from their network” due to exploitation from “malicious actors.”

It has also been confirmed that Dominion Voting Systems uses products from the breached SolarWinds company, specifically, the Serv-U product. Furthermore DVS removed links and references to SolarWinds off their website, as National File reported.

While many mainstream media outlets and some officials, such as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, have claimed that Russia and/or Russian actors are “believed” to have been behind the SolarWinds breach, National File has reported on questionable financial ties between SolarWinds board members and China.

According to the Washington Post, SolarWinds investors traded a total of $280 million in stock before the official announcement of the breach, raising questions about potential insider trading. Silver Lake sold $158 million in SolarWinds shares six days before the SolarWinds breach was announced.

President Trump suggested that China “may be” behind the SolarWinds breach and that the cyber attack could have impacted US voting machines on Twitter, as National File reported.

President Donald Trump suggested on Twitter that China ‘may be’ responsible for the recently announced SolarWinds cyber attack, adding that “Russia, Russia, Russia is the priority chant” when anything happens, because mainstream media outlets have “financial reasons” to not cover China’s potential involvement.

President Trump also said that the cyber attack could have impacted “our ridiculous voting machines” during the 2020 US election, adding that the election was a “corrupted embarrassment for the USA.”

Attorney Powell and General Flynn’s grassroots election integrity movement, now known as “Stop the Steal,” aims for a full congressional hearing to address the evidence of mass voter fraud before a joint session of Congress on January 6, the day that the legislature certifies the electoral college votes. Trump Scorches ‘Dumbest’ Ex-Adviser Bolton After CNN Interview About ‘Appalling’ Idea to Rerun Election Under Martial Law

President Trump blasted reports he’s considering imposing martial law as “fake news” and called his former National Security Advisor John Bolton “one of the dumbest people in Washington,” after Bolton called the idea “appalling.”

“Martial law = Fake News,” Donald Trump tweeted, before targeting Bolton, a former member of his administration who became a vocal critic of the incumbent president after parting ways with Trump in September last year.

Trump reminded his Twitter followers how, in 2018, then-advisor Bolton threw a wrench into the talks with North Korea on its nuclear arsenal by suggesting it follow a “Libya model” of disarmament. In 2003, Libya’s leader Muammar Gaddafi agreed to shut down his nuclear weapons program in exchange for rapprochement with the West, only to be ousted from power and brutally murdered during a NATO bombing campaign in 2011. Pyongyang says it needs nuclear weapons to defend itself from the US.

The outraged presidential posts appear to have been prompted by Bolton’s appearance on CNN. Bolton had been invited to comment on the idea promoted by one of his predecessors, Michael Flynn, who believes the US is on a brink of civil war and Trump would therefore be justified in declaring limited martial law and running a new presidential election under the supervision of the military.

During his interview, Bolton called the suggestion “appalling, unbelievable, and almost certainly completely without a precedent” and suggested that even considering it showed incompetence on Trump’s part.

“There is a difference between incompetence and malevolence, and, in Trump’s case, this is incompetence. He is unfit for the job,” he said, reiterating a point he has been making since resignation.



Flynn and others argue that the precedent was set by Abraham Lincoln during the run-up to the US Civil War. At the time, the president thought the federal government’s existence was under threat from a Southern rebellion and took drastic measures to protect it, including allowing the military to make arrests without a specific charge.

The US today is in a similarly perilous position, proponents of martial law believe, due to the alleged widespread fraud that secured a victory for Joe Biden last month. Flynn reportedly had a chance to argue his position before Trump during a Friday meeting at the White House.

The meeting, first reported by the New York Times based on accounts of “two people briefed on the discussion,” at times escalated into shouting matches between lawyer Sidney Powell, a Flynn ally, and Trump advisers. The White House officials reportedly objected to the suggestion that Powell is authorized by the president to investigate voter fraud.

Trump refused to concede to Biden and repeatedly alleged that the election had been stolen from him. Some of his supporters still believe that, even though his lawyers’ attempts to overturn the outcome have repeatedly failed in the courts.

Powell was considered part of Trump’s legal team until last month, when she became a vocal promoter of a case that involves alleged manipulation of tabulation by vote machines. Her lawsuits in the swing states of Georgia and Michigan have been tossed out as merely “an amalgamation of theories, conjecture, and speculation,” however.

Biden’s victory was officially sealed by the US Electoral College earlier this week.

There is nothing good that can come from all this. But in my free market anarchist point of view, there are two best case outcomes from this. (What that means is, no one here at AWRM are likely to agree with me, and maybe three people in the whole country will.) Anyway, here they are:

1. It's proved beyond a doubt the election was fair. Trump declares martial law and stays in office anyway. (Bonus points if it's finally proved that Trump did indeed collude with the Russians.

2. It's proved beyoind any shadow of a doubt there was massive fraud, and that Trump actually won the election by a landslide. Despite this, Trump concedes the election to Biden, who takes office on January 20. (Bonus point if it's proved that Biden is actually a Chinese agent.)

Either one of these scenarios would lead to a constitutional crisis, probable impeachment, massive demonstrations and noncompliance from the electorate, secession movements, and the inability of the government to accomplish anything, definitely a best case scenario in my book.

Of course, nothing like this is very likely to actually occur. But hey, I can dream.
