The calls for war are ramping up.

Quote
Today is President Donald Trump's last day in office! A White House official said Trump plans to pardon or commute sentences for up to 100 people today. Whether it might include big-name whistleblowers (like Chelsea Manning, Reality Winner, and Julian Assange) or just more of the president's crook friends and allies is anybody's guess. In any event, Trump leaves office with a 34 percent approval rating and a record-low average approval rating of 41 percent.

With Americans still reeling from the January 6 Capitol riot, the Biden administration will begin its term amid a rapidly escalating "tough on domestic terror" mood.

That's never a good influence no matter which ruling party is in office, and perhaps especially bad in times of intense partisan conflict. There are a few things both Democrats and Republicans can almost always come together on, and limiting civil liberties in the name of national security is chief among them. But worse, Biden has never backed away from hysterical policy reactions to perceived crime and terror threats.

"Biden's career was built on the politics of panics," Reason's Jacob Sullum writes. "After 9/11, Biden did not just vote for the PATRIOT Act, which expanded the federal government's surveillance authority in the name of fighting terrorism. He bragged that it was essentially the same as legislation he had been pushing since 1994."

Now, "the Biden administration plans to make domestic terrorism a key focus of the National Security Council, transition officials tell @carolelee," tweeted Geoff Bennett, NBC's White House correspondent, on Monday. "Officials have been looking at ways to shift government resources previously used for counterterrorism, to combating domestic terrorism."

Former lackeys of the war on terror are already salivating.

"Former intelligence official on PBS NewsHour tonight saying that the US should think about a '9/11 Commission' for domestic extremism and consider applying some of the lessons from the fight against Al Qaeda here at home," noted Evan Hill of The New York Times last night.

("The more explicit they make it that they're using the first War on Terror model for their new one domestically, the better," responded Glenn Greenwald. "Please keep up this candor.")

"Domestic terror" panic is infecting all sorts of policy arenas, too.

Since the Capitol riot, people have been calling for crackdowns on social media tech companies, under the rationale that some folks involved organized or posted about their plans online and/or received misinformation on digital platforms that led them to riot. (And, once again, people pretending that people will stop communicating disfavored ideas if they lose a few venues to do so are finding themselves sorely wrong, as folks move from Facebook, Twitter, and Parler to encrypted messaging apps and other forms of communication.)

Now, that's spilling over into attacks on traditional media, too.

"Biden needs to reinvigorate the FCC to slow the lies and sedition from Fox and other right-wing broadcasters," wrote Washington Post columnist Max Boot on Twitter yesterday, continuing the melodrama by warning that, if not, "the terrorism we saw on Jan. 6 may be only the beginning, rather than the end, of the plot against America."

But as Boot and others unfold the plot to reinvigorate the failed war on terror, it seems we may have a lot more to fear from status quo authoritarians than the MAGA nationalist crowd right now. The latter worships a disgraced man who is leaving the White House tomorrow. The former will find friends in the executive branch, Congress, and all the levers of legacy media.

"Already, a bill has been introduced to empower federal law enforcement to better monitor and stop domestic extremist violence," notes The Daily Beast:

Quote
"It is not enough to just condemn hate, we need to equip law enforcement with the tools needed to identify threats and prevent violent acts of domestic terrorism," said its sponsor, Rep. Brad Schneider (D-IL). "The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act improves coordination between our federal agencies and makes sure they are focused on the most serious domestic threats," he said.

We've seen this episode before, and it doesn't end well.

The calls for a War on Domestic Terror are continuing.

Just in: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says on MSNBC tonight that she would support the creation of a 9/11-style commission — with subpoena power — to investigate the Capitol attack.

I don't often agree with Rep. Rashida Tlaib. If she told me the sun is rising in the east, I'd have to check my compass. But, well, she's right here:

More than 100 civil rights groups agree. we don't need more "domestic terrorism" laws. Will anyone in Congress read it? Probably not many.

Quote
Civil rights groups across the country are urging President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as Congressional Democrats, not to pass new laws to address any potential threats from white nationalists emboldened by and loyal to former President Donald Trump.

In a letter dated Tuesday, 135 civil rights organizations—ranging from religious groups, immigration advocates, and LGBT organizations to the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People—expressed their concerns about calls to pass new criminal laws in the wake of the riot and temporary invasion of the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters:

Quote
The Justice Department (DOJ), including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has over 50 terrorism-related statutes it can use to investigate and prosecute criminal conduct, including white supremacist violence, as well as dozens of other federal statutes relating to hate crimes, organized crime, and violent crimes. The failure to confront and hold accountable white nationalist violence is not a question of not having appropriate tools to employ, but a failure to use those on hand. To date, DOJ has simply decided as a matter of policy and practice not to prioritize white nationalist crimes.

The letter is necessary because Biden and his administration came into the White House already planning to focus on domestic terrorism, and one possibility the transition team was mulling over is the Confronting Threats of Domestic Terrorism Act, H.R. 4192, which was introduced in 2019 by Rep. Adam Schiff (D–Calif.).

The act establishes new offenses whenever somebody commits a violent crime "with the intent to intimidate or coerce a civilian population, influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion, or affect the conduct of a government." The law covers crimes such as kidnapping, murder, and assault with a dangerous weapon, as well as property damage that "creates a substantial risk of serious bodily injury to any other person."

The signatories on the letter know exactly where this kind of legislating leads. We literally just said goodbye to a president who ordered the Department of Justice to use every federal law it could against antifa protesters. The letter observes:

Quote
These bills and others with similar provisions are the wrong approach because, as we have seen, they will continue to be used as vehicles to target black and brown communities as they have done since their inception. The federal government has no shortage of counterterrorism powers, and these powers have been and will be again used to unjustly target black and brown communities, including Muslim, Arab, Middle Eastern, and South Asian communities, as well as those engaged in First Amendment-protected activities. The creation of a new federal domestic terrorism crime ignores this reality and would not address the scourge of white nationalism in this country.

The letter writers are not without congressional allies. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D–Mich.) sent a lengthy letter of her own to congressional leaders, co-signed by nine other Democrats in the House (including New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez), warning that the federal government's national security powers should not be expanded. Tlaib writes in part:

Quote
While many may find comfort in the increased national security powers in the wake of this attack, we must emphasize that we have been here before and we have seen where that road leads. Our history is littered with examples of initiatives sold as being necessary to fight extremism that quickly devolve into tools used for the mass violation of the human and civil rights of the American people…

I took note yesterday that following the Sept. 11 attacks, many of the new authorities the federal government granted itself in order to fight terrorism ended up being used to surveil and track Americans through NSA records collections and Department of Homeland Security fusion centers. While it is a relief that many people with connections to the incoming majority see the danger of expanding federal policing authority, Biden has a lengthy history of support for harsh enforcement. What he does here will show us if he has truly changed his ways and come around on criminal justice reform.

The real purveyors of violence have returned. A new article by Ron Paul

Quote
With the mainstream media still obsessing about the January 6 “violent coup attempt” at the US Capitol Building, the incoming Biden administration looks to be chock full of actual purveyors of violent coups. Don’t look to the mainstream media to report on this, however. Some of the same politicians and bureaucrats denouncing the ridiculous farce at the Capitol as if it were the equivalent of 9-11 have been involved for decades in planning and executing real coups overseas. In their real coups, many thousands of civilians have died.

Take returning Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, for example. More than anyone else she is the face of the US-led violent coup against a democratically elected government in Ukraine in 2014. Nuland not only passed out snacks to the coup leaders, she was caught on a phone call actually plotting the coup right down to who would take power once the smoke cleared.

Unlike the fake Capitol “coup,” this was a real overthrow. Unlike the buffalo horn-wearing joke who desecrated the “sacred” Senate chamber, the Ukraine coup had real armed insurrectionists with a real plan to overthrow the government. Eventually, with the help of incoming Assistant Secretary of State Nuland, they succeeded—after thousands of civilians were killed.

As we were unfortunately reminded during the last four years of the Trump administration, the personnel is the policy. So while President Trump railed against the “stupid wars” and promised to bring the troops home, he hired people like John Bolton and Mike Pompeo to get the job done. They spent their time “clarifying” Trump’s call for ending wars to mean he wanted to actually continue the wars. It was a colossal failure.

So it’s hard to be optimistic about a Biden administration with so many hyperinterventionist Obama retreads.

While the US Agency for International Development (USAID) likes to sell itself as the compassionate arm of the US foreign policy, in fact USAID is one of the main US “regime change” agencies. Biden has announced that a top “humanitarian interventionist”—Samantha Power—would head that agency in his administration.

Power, who served on President Obama’s National Security Council staff and as US Ambassador to the UN, argued passionately and successfully that a US attack on the Gaddafi government in Libya would result in a liberation of the people and the outbreak of democracy in the country.
In reality, her justification was all based on lies and the US assault has left nothing but murder and mayhem. Gaddafi’s relatively peaceful, if authoritarian, government has been replaced by radical terrorists and even slave markets.

At the end of the day, the Bush Republicans—like Representative Liz Cheney—will join hands with the Biden Democrats to reinstate “American leadership.” This of course means more US overt and covert wars overseas. The unholy alliance between Big Tech and the US government will happily assist the US State Department under Secretary of State Tony Blinken and Assistant Secretary of State Nuland with the technology to foment more “regime change” operations wherever the Biden administration sees fit. Finish destroying Syria and the secular Assad? Sure! Go back into Iraq? Why not? Afghanistan? That’s the good war! And Russia and China must be punished as well.

These are grave moments for we noninterventionists. But also we have a unique opportunity, informed by history, to denounce the warmongers and push for a peaceful and noninterventionist foreign policy.

Even Libertarians? It looks like I made former CIA Director John Brennan's list!

From his appearance on MSNBC:

Quote
We are now looking forward that the members of the Biden team who have been nominated or have been appointed, are now moving in laser like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about what looks very similar to insurgency movements that we've seen overseas, where they germinate in different parts of the country and they gain strength and it brings together an unholy alliance frequently of religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, Nativists, even libertarians.

John Brennan: Biden White House Will Use Homeland Security to Crush Trump ‘Insurgency’

Posted by NC Scout | Jan 21, 2021 | AP Staff,

Originally appeared at USSA News. You were warned here on AP months back of them using all of the same tools for reprisals that I personally have experience with. Brennan, the declared Communist and Wahhabi, is just one piece of this. What’s McChrsytal up to? If you’re standing up the Resistance, and you damn well should be, get the hell off social media, now. -NCS

The following article, Disgraced Former CIA Chief John Brennan: Biden White House Will Use Homeland Security to Crush Trump ‘Insurgency’, was first published on Big League Politics.

Disgraced former CIA Director John Brennan is promising a Big Brother crackdown against Trump supporters throughout society following the successful installation of the Biden regime by the deep state.

Brennan made the psychopathic, authoritarian declaration during an appearance on MSNBC.

“This is the most relaxed I’ve been in the course of the many inaugurations I’ve watched,” Brennan said, reveling in the fact that he got away with all of his crimes without repercussions.

“I know looking forward that the members of the Biden team who have been nominated or have been appointed are now moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about what looks very similar to insurgency movements that we have seen overseas,” he said.

Brennan is laying the groundwork to treat President Trump’s supporters like ISIS militants, which Democrat officials have been openly pining for many years to accomplish. He named “religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, and even libertarians” as the type of groups that will be targeted, profiled and ultimately deprived of their 1st Amendment rights during the Biden administration.

“I really do think that the law enforcement, Homeland Security, intelligence, and even defense officials are doing everything possible to root out what seems to be a very, very serious and insidious threat to our democracy and our republic,”
he said.

The clip can be seen here:

Big League Politics has reported about the many crimes of Brennan, who was influential in setting up the Russia-gate scam that ultimately failed in unlawfully overturning the results of the 2016 presidential election:

Former CIA director and Deep State-linked career bureaucrat John Brennan praised the willful insubordination of the “intelligence community” when speaking at an event at the National Press Club with other military-industrial complex figures on Thursday…

Brennan’s remarks make it clear that the career national security bureaucratic elite couldn’t care less about fulfilling their traditional role of carrying out the democratically elected President’s policy. The Deep State instead seeks to impose an unpopular and stale agenda against the wishes of the President, preventing the American people any real say in directing the national security policy of their own country…

The use of the phrase ‘Deep State’ by Brennan is telling. For years critics of the permanent Washington, D.C shadow government were told such a thing didn’t exist. For the intensely partisan former CIA director to not only describe the intelligence community apparatus with such a phrase- but to even endorse them as such- reveals how fundamentally disconnected legacy institutions such as the CIA and FBI are from democratic oversight.

It’s hard to paint the Trump administration as anything but a colossal failure with criminals like Brennan gloating and reveling in the destruction of America. Trump did not even have the courage to pardon whistleblowers Edward Snowden and Julian Assange on his way out of office. The deep state wins again.

I heard this clip today... beyond disturbing. I have never liked this red worm. Now he’s gone and proven that I’ve been far too kind and accepting of him.

Prepare for extreme tyranny. By Gary D. Barnett.

Quote
What we face today, and what is coming in the near future is pure, unadulterated, totalitarian madness, and so long as the people of this country remain indifferent to this tyranny, it will worsen and escalate every single day until nothing of value remains.

It cannot be stressed enough that the end of America is just around the corner. The controlling scum in power seeks the end of this economy, the end of all freedom, the end of joy, the end of travel, the end of independent thought, the end of any realistic intellect, and the end of sanity. This is where we are headed, and only the masses that are in most respects to blame for this takeover, can stop it. That does not bode well for those of us willing to fight for our freedom, as we are now in the extreme minority. The risk to the actual freedom fighters is absolute, but without those willing to risk all for their freedom, little hope of a return to liberty is possible. All of us that will actively dissent, disobey all state orders, and call out the criminal government, are now targets of this heinous governing system, and every tactic necessary to eliminate resistance will be used against us. This is already beginning, as Biden declares “war” on domestic “terrorism.” Ex-CIA Director, John Brennan, said “Biden’s intel community are moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about the pro-Trump insurgency that harbors religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians.” All of these are according to Brennan, insurgents, and he and the so-called “intelligence community” seem to be salivating at the prospect of war against the American people. This is a dire threat to anyone that disagrees with or stands against the state.

Criminalizing opposition to the political class is so insanely dangerous to the people that it can only be described as a policy contrived by psychopathic and evil dictatorial monsters as a way to gain total control over society through force. This is not an exaggeration; as what is called “domestic terrorism” is being openly discussed, and new legislation is not only being considered, but is already being implemented in some states. Biden and some members of Congress are calling for new domestic terrorism legislation that would vastly expand the powers of the police state. This is atrocious, as it will of course be misused to stifle all forms of dissent, while labeling any that disagree with government as terrorists. This could of course lead to a complete censorship of all protest activity, as well as most all speech. The ramifications of such draconian policies are beyond reason, and could literally destroy our ability to peacefully fight back against extreme tyranny. The danger of this could easily lead to more violence by not only the justified victims of state tyranny, but also massive violent abuse of the citizenry by government enforcement goons in the police and military. Lunacy does not begin to describe the treacherous nature of such authoritarian measures.

We are now on the verge of becoming a police state the likes of which have never before been seen or imagined by any American. ‘Secret police’ operating as agents for the state will be commissioned to quell any discontent, any disobedience, and any non-compliance as described by the political class in power. The people themselves will be expected to monitor their friends, family, and neighbors, and report what will be labeled as any seditious behavior. This reality is nearly upon us. Attempts to control all thought and action are desired, so we will be told to carry state approved identification papers, we will be told when and where we may go, and we will be told what we are allowed to say or write. Additional severe mandates will be forthcoming, and more fines, force, and incarceration will be threatened and will be implemented as deemed necessary by the controlling few. As scary as it sounds, this country could easily look more like Hitler’s Germany or Stalin’s Russia in the near future than the United States of old. This is not some wild or fantastic ‘conspiracy theory;’ just look around at all the signs in front of you.

Most of you are already masked; many of you have been forced to abandon your businesses and jobs, you have been told to desert your loved ones, and many have been driven into poverty. Now you will be told you may not travel or get the necessities of life unless you obey orders to get injected with a poisonous, gene-altering, and deadly concoction mislabeled as a vaccine. Once injected, you will have an operating system inside your body that can allow outside control over you. The evil Fauci is even saying now that this bogus ‘vaccine’ may become mandatory. Most are already complying with every order given; orders that are restrictive, extremely harmful, and life-changing, so how much additional effort by this heinous government is necessary in order to turn this population into slaves of a fascist and communistic oligarchy?

How many are willing to resist instead of acting like sheep? How many will gain the courage to say no? How many will take the required risk that is essential in order to reclaim freedom? How many of you will stand up to those attempting to control you? How many will wait until there is absolutely nothing left before you question this corruption? How many of you will continue to do as you are told, regardless of the consequences to yourself, your families, and your friends?

We are living a nightmare. The only escape from this horror is to wake up. If the many continue to sleep and continue to practice mass obedience, those of us willing to fight back will be targeted by this horrific state. If the people willing to stand up against this tyranny are silenced, incarcerated, or exterminated, all hope will be lost, and this American society will no longer exist in its present form. But if large numbers refuse to comply, refuse to take orders, and refuse to allow this totalitarian takeover, then we all win. Division will destroy us, but solidarity will defeat the enemy that is the state. It is time to put great fear in the hearts and minds of any ruler, politician, or enforcer that would attempt to control or enslave us!

The “War On Terror” Has Gone Domestic, And Patriots Are The New Targets

By Ethan Huff | NaturalNews.com Friday, January 22, 2021

(Natural News) Many of our longtime readers will recall the repeated warnings we issued over the years about the “deep state” plot to vilify all conservatives and patriots as “terrorists.” It started with the “War on Terror” against foreigners that was launched immediately after 9/11, and is now coming full circle following the Capitol “riot” on Jan. 6 to include Americans.

It is now considered an act of “domestic terrorism” for at least half of America to merely protest, a categorization that simply would not have been possible apart from the “Patriot Act” and all the social engineering that came along with it. Nearly two decades later, what appears to have been the true intent of this “law” is coming into view: to destroy those who wish to live in a sovereign republic rather than a globalist democracy.

In order to maintain a “safe” and “secure” society, we are told that civil liberties and the Bill of Rights have to go. Allowing them could lead to another “insurrection,” after all, and that would just be scary. Consequently, Washington, D.C., had to be turned into what now looks like North Korea, and the Democrat-led legislature is crafting a Patriot Act 2.0 to prevent any future attempt at “violence” against the political oligarchy.

“This is all driven by a radical expansion of the meaning of ‘incitement to violence,’” writes Glenn Greenwald. “It is accompanied by viral-on-social-media pleas that one work with the FBI to turn in one’s fellow citizens (See Something, Say Something!) and demands for a new system of domestic surveillance.”

Should anyone dare to speak out against this authoritarian encroachment, the stage has already been set to label him or her a “sympathizer” of “terrorists” and “neo-Nazis,” along with the ever-dreaded “white supremacists.” This categorization alone is enough to scare the average American into silence, even if at the conscience level it becomes obvious that this is an affront to all Americans, regardless of political views.

The deep state is openly admitting that the first War on Terror laid the groundwork for this second one. Its aim is to purge all “extremists,” meaning anyone who refuses communism, from society. This is what the Capitol false flag attack was all about: crystallizing public perception in opposition to the idea of patriotism, which is now akin to terrorism.

Gen. Stanley McChrystal, who for years headed the Joint Special Operations Command in Iraq as well as commanded the war in Afghanistan, compared domestic patriots to radicalized “Arab youth” during a recent interview with Yahoo News. The two videos below illustrate how what is now being said by liberals and neoconservative hacks about what they think should be done to stop future “insurrections” by conservatives is essentially the same rhetoric that was used back in 2002 to justify the passage of the Patriot Act:

The goal is to criminalize free speech by claiming it “incites violence”

Considering that the United States already imprisons more of its citizens than does any other country in the world, it is both perplexing and disturbing that nearly every major news outlet, along with the consortium of Big Tech platforms, are calling for even more laws that would criminalize behavior deemed as “domestic terrorism.”

“Why would such new terrorism laws be needed in a country that already imprisons more of its citizens than any other country in the world as the result of a very aggressive set of criminal laws? What acts should be criminalized by new “domestic terrorism” laws that are not already deemed criminal?” asks Greenwald.

“They never say, almost certainly because – just as was true of the first set of new War on Terror laws – their real aim is to criminalize that which should not be criminalized: speech, association, protests, opposition to the new ruling coalition.”

By effectively stirring a critical mass of America into fever-pitched fear and panic over “insurrectionists,” the media and its allies are using a tried-and-true method of imposing more tyranny on the masses by pretending to protect them against some new boogeyman that, like many others from the past, does not actually exist.

Greenwald warns that the alarmism and fear-mongering is being used to redefine what it even means to “incite violence.” It is also what is being used by corrupt members of Congress to whine and scream about prosecuting on “sedition” charges their colleagues who objected to the illegitimate Electoral Certification process.

During the first War on Terror, many American Muslims bore the brunt of this same rhetorical assault. Simply due to their religion and skin color, many of them faced new forms of prosecution under draconian “anti-terrorism” laws that went above and beyond what the Constitution would have normally allowed. Now, the same thing is on the verge of happening to American patriots and conservatives who object to things like fraudulent elections.

Put simply, the goal with all the current theatrics is to convince enough Americans that mere free speech “incites violence” in order to ban it. Left, right or otherwise, every American who cares about the Constitution should be chilled to the bone by this, and wholeheartedly object to it.

“If you identify as a conservative and continue to believe that your prime enemies are ordinary leftists, or you identify as a leftist and believe your prime enemies are Republican citizens, you will fall perfectly into the trap set for you,” Greenwald warns about the false left-right paradigm.

“Namely, you will ignore your real enemies, the ones who actually wield power at your expense: ruling class elites, who really do not care about ‘right v. left’ and most definitely do not care about ‘Republican v. Democrat’ – as evidenced by the fact that they fund both parties – but instead care only about one thing: stability, or preservation of the prevailing neoliberal order.”

Greenwald’s full analysis is available at this link.

"What we face today, and what is coming in the near future is pure, unadulterated, totalitarian madness, and so long as the people of this country remain indifferent to this tyranny, it will worsen and escalate every single day until nothing of value remains."

"We are now on the verge of becoming a police state the likes of which have never before been seen or imagined by any American. 'Secret police' operating as agents for the state will be commissioned to quell any discontent, any disobedience, and any non-compliance as described by the political class in power."

How many are willing to resist instead of acting like sheep?

All of us that will actively dissent, disobey all state orders, and call out the criminal government, are now targets of this heinous governing system, and every tactic necessary to eliminate resistance will be used against us.
brennan.jpg

This is already beginning, as Biden declares "war" on domestic "terrorism." Ex-CIA Director, John Brennan, said "Biden's intel community are moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about the pro-Trump insurgency that harbors religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians."

All of these are according to Brennan, insurgents, and he and the so-called "intelligence community" seem to be salivating at the prospect of war against the American people. This is a dire threat to anyone that disagrees with or stands against the state.

Criminalizing opposition to the political class is so insanely dangerous to the people that it can only be described as a policy contrived by psychopathic and evil dictatorial monsters as a way to gain total control over society through force.

'DOMESTIC TERRORISM'

This is not an exaggeration; as what is called "domestic terrorism" is being openly discussed, and new legislation is not only being considered, but is already being implemented in some states.

Biden and some members of Congress are calling for new domestic terrorism legislation that would vastly expand the powers of the police state. This is atrocious, as it will of course be misused to stifle all forms of dissent, while labeling any that disagree with government as terrorists.

This could, of course ,lead to a complete censorship of all protest activity, as well as most all speech.

STASI STATE

We are now on the verge of becoming a police state the likes of which have never before been seen or imagined by any American. 'Secret police' operating as agents for the state will be commissioned to quell any discontent, any disobedience, and any non-compliance as described by the political class in power.

As scary as it sounds, this country could easily look more like Hitler's Germany or Stalin's Russia in the near future than the United States of old. This is not some wild or fantastic 'conspiracy theory;' just look around at all the signs in front of you.
mask-girl.jpg

Most of you are already masked; many of you have been forced to abandon your businesses and jobs, you have been told to desert your loved ones, and many have been driven into poverty. Now you will be told you may not travel or get the necessities of life unless you obey orders to get injected with a poisonous, gene-altering, and deadly concoction mislabeled as a vaccine. Once injected, you will have an operating system inside your body that can allow outside control over you.

The evil Fauci is even saying now that this bogus 'vaccine' may become mandatory. Most are already complying with every order given; orders that are restrictive, extremely harmful, and life-changing, so how much additional effort by this heinous government is necessary in order to turn this population into slaves of a fascist and communistic oligarchy?

WHO IS WILLING TO RESIST INSTEAD OF ACT LIKE SHEEP?

[Makow- Collaborators will then be eliminated.)

The Police State Is Coming For “Religious Extremists”, “Evangelical Christians”, “Pro-Life” Activists And “Libertarians”

By Michael Snyder | End Of The American Dream Monday, January 25, 2021

If you cherish faith, family and freedom, you might want to keep a low profile for a while.

The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021 has been unveiled in Congress, and it has bipartisan support.

It is essentially “the Patriot Act on steroids”, and we are being told that it is almost certain that some version of the legislation will make it to Biden’s desk for him to sign.

Personally, I am very much against all forms of domestic terrorism, and a law which could help to prevent terror attacks from happening is going to sound like a good thing to a lot of people.

The media’s imposed indoctrination of citizens to condemn Trump is akin to what people suffered over the media lambasting of the underground railroad and Harriet Tubman, and Owen breaks it down in depth.

Unfortunately, it appears that this bill is meant to specifically target certain groups, and as you read this article you may discover that you are a member of one or more of those groups.

Those that drafted this new law say that it will help authorities go after “extremists”, and very few of us would consider ourselves to be one of those.

But the definition of an extremist has changed. Tulsi Gabbard is one of the most prominent Democrats in the House of Representatives, and last year she ran for president. But even though she is a Democrat, she is warning that this new law appears to be “a targeting of almost half of the country”…

“What characteristics are we looking for as we are building this profile of a potential extremist, what are we talking about? Religious extremists, are we talking about Christians, evangelical Christians, what is a religious extremist? Is it somebody who is pro-life? Where do you take this?” Gabbard said.

She said the proposed legislation could create “a very dangerous undermining of our civil liberties, our freedoms in our Constitution, and a targeting of almost half of the country.”

It is fundamentally un-American to specifically target people for their religious beliefs, and so that is extremely alarming.

Gabbard is also warning that people with certain political perspectives are likely to be targeted as well…

“You start looking at obviously, have to be a white person, obviously likely male, libertarians, anyone who loves freedom, liberty, maybe has an American flag outside their house, or people who, you know, attended a Trump rally,” Gabbard said.

Wait a second.

I am a male.

I love freedom and liberty.

I am flying an American flag outside my house right now.

Am I going to be put on a list somewhere?

During a recent television interview, former CIA Director John Brennan said that the Biden administration will likely be focusing on “religious extremists”, “nativists”, and “even libertarians” as possible targets.

In what universe is saying something like that okay?

Even before this new legislation has gone through Congress, Joe Biden has already instructed his director of national intelligence to identify potential extremist threats…

President Biden has asked the director of national intelligence to draw up a comprehensive threat assessment on domestic violent extremism in the country as the new administration seeks to tackle what it calls a “serious and growing national security threat.”

The move is one of several the White House press secretary announced Friday to address mounting concerns about domestic extremism, particularly in the wake of the violent insurrection more than two weeks ago by Trump supporters at the U.S. Capitol.

There is that word “extremism” again.

And new White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has been using it repeatedly during her press briefings.

In the old days, we assumed that “extremists” were crazy terrorists and suicide bombers in the Middle East.

But now they are using that term to describe large numbers of people that live inside the United States.

That is extremely chilling.

And once “extremists” have been identified, we are being told that the White House National Security Council “will be tasked with building capacity to tackle and disrupt extremist networks”.

What does that mean and what will that look like?

If the Biden administration truly wanted to go after domestic terrorists, they aren’t hard to find.

In fact, a whole bunch of them attacked an ICE facility in Portland on Saturday night…

Protests outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland turned ugly on Saturday night as federal authorities threatened mass arrests for trespassing.

Dramatic videos posted on Twitter showed the crowd chanting: ‘No borders! No nations! Abolish deportations!’

You can watch footage of the battle that ensued right here. According to the Daily Mail, insurgents in Portland have now been committing political violence for four days in a row…

It marked the four-straight day of protests in the city since Joe Biden’s inauguration as demonstrators make it clear that a new Democratic administration will not stop their campaign for social justice.

There they are Biden.

Go get them.

We also just witnessed a very frightening terror attack at a church in California…

The FBI has launched an investigation after a bomb was thrown at an anti-LGBT church in California just weeks after the pastor received an arson attack threat.

Police and fire crews were called to the First Works Baptist Church at 2600 Tyler Avenue in El Monte in the early hours of Saturday morning to reports of an explosion.

The FBI said an improvised explosive device had been thrown at the building and it had also been covered in graffiti.

Sadly, these are not the sorts of “extremists” that the Democrats have in mind.

Instead, they appear to be very interested in identifying and “deprogramming” those that voted for Donald Trump…

A Democratic National Committee official, David Atkins, said on Twitter that “deprogramming” is needed for every one of more than 74 million people who voted for Trump on Nov. 3.

Limbaugh said they “are literally thinking of deprogramming conservatives.”

Of course it isn’t just the Biden administration that is focused on Trump supporters. Countless private individuals have joined a growing nationwide effort to punish any individual or entity that was ever closely associated with Trump…

It’s why the left is cheering Big Tech’s embrace of cancel culture and pushing cable providers to stop airing One America News Network, Newsmax and other “conservative influencers.”

It’s why the so-called Trump Accountability Project, which seeks to prevent administrations officials from gainful employment, is not widely denounced for the thuggery that it is and why 250 publishing professionals feel comfortable circulating a “No Book Deals for Traitors” petition that says former Trump officials shouldn’t be allowed to publish their works. It’s also why Harvard students think it’s reasonable to circulate a letter demanding the revocation of degrees earned by Republicans who questioned the 2020 election, and why MoveOn.org demands that the Senate not give Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley any committee assignments.

Now that the Democrats have full power in Washington, it is open season on Trump and all of his supporters.

But the truth is that the vast majority of the civil unrest over the past year has been caused by radicals on the left, and it is only going to get worse in the months and years to come.

For the past 12 months, there has been political violence somewhere in America on an almost nightly basis. But because leftists are involved 99 percent of the time, the corporate media generally ignores most of it.

You can’t just be against political violence when the other side does it. I am very strongly against all of the rioting, looting, arson and vandalism that we have been witnessing. The attacks on police stations, courthouses and federal buildings need to stop.

Sadly, it appears that the people committing most of the political violence will be handled with kid gloves by this new administration.

Meanwhile, those that have politically incorrect religious and political views will be demonized as “extremists” and will be specifically targeted under the new law that Congress is about to pass.

Tulsi Gabbard: "We don't have to guess where this goes or how it ends."

I actually like Tulsi Gabbard. She would have made a great president, except for her awful economic ideas.

Yeah, that too. I tend to think of gun rights and economic rights as being the same.

Natural News: Tucker Carlson warns that the Democrat Party has launched war on half of America

(Natural News) Now that the Democrats purportedly control all three branches of government in the United States, their plan, according to Fox News host Tucker Carlson, is to seek revenge against the more than 74 million people who voted for President Donald Trump in 2020.

By labeling conservatives as “domestic terrorists,” the Democrat Party hopes to turn one half of the country against the other using a classic divide-and-conquer tactic.

“The leaders of the Democrat Party have now decided that 74 million Trump voters weren’t just wrong or misguided,” Carlson stated during a recent segment. “They didn’t simply back the wrong guy or have incorrect opinions or fail to see the obvious truths.”

According to Carlson, Americans who voted for Trump are now in a whole new “threat” category alongside Al-Qaeda and ISIS. The left wants its followers to think that supporting Trump is the same as supporting Osama Bin Laden, and some are falling for it.

“No, the threat they pose is graver and more serious than that, more dangerous. These 74 million Trump voters are in fact, terrorists,” Carlson says about how the left now views Trump supporters.

“They’re a looming physical threat to the rest of us, and we must deal with them in the way that you deal with threats like that.”
This second “war on terror” is aimed at conservatives

When Democrats launched the “Russiagate” hoax alleging “collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia, they proceeded to trample civil liberties and due process. Now they are doing the same thing again, except this time against 74 million Americans.

“For years they told us this country had been infiltrated by Russian spies, but now we know it’s worse than that,” Carlson added sarcastically. “The real threat, the actual enemy is within. In the end, it always is. Seventy-four million deviationists lurk in our midst.”

Carlson went on to joke that Trump supporter “terrorists” look like normal people, but that we should not be deceived.

“They are Trotskyites, they’re wreckers, kulaks,” he jibed. “We must root them out. It’ll take a war to do that. An actual war. A war on our own people.”

All joking aside, it actually is a whole new “War on Terror” that is now being launched against right-leaning Americans following the false flag “insurrection” that took place at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

As Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald revealed, it is built upon the first War on Terror that was launched immediately after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The Capitol “siege” has become 9/11 2.0, to be followed by a Patriot Act 2.0 to strip what little remains of freedom and liberty.

“No speculation is needed,” Greenwald tweeted. “Those who wield power are demanding it. The only question is how much opposition they will encounter.”

“The more honest proponents of this new domestic War on Terror are explicitly admitting that they want to model it on the first one.”

Not only Trump supporters but “white supremacists,” which the mainstream media says are one and the same, will be swept up in this new War on Terror. Anyone who is not a far-left adherent to the doctrines of LGBTQP, it seems, is a target.

Everyday Americans would do best to ignore all this propaganda and try to get along with their friends and neighbors because this effort to divide us all only leads to one thing: conquering us all. We must resist the temptation to fall into the trap of blind hatred, and join together to fight our joint enemy: the establishment.

More related news about the second “War on Terror” aimed at conservatives and Trump supporters can be found at FalseFlag.news.

Enemies of the Deep State: The Government’s War on Domestic Terrorism Is a Trap

John W. Whitehead
February 2nd, 2021
The Rutherford Institute

“This is an issue that all Democrats, Republicans, independents, Libertarians should be extremely concerned about, especially because we don’t have to guess about where this goes or how this ends. What characteristics are we looking for as we are building this profile of a potential extremist, what are we talking about? Religious extremists, are we talking about Christians, evangelical Christians, what is a religious extremist? Is it somebody who is pro-life? [The proposed legislation could create] a very dangerous undermining of our civil liberties, our freedoms in our Constitution, and a targeting of almost half of the country.”—Tulsi Gabbard, former Congresswoman

This is how it begins.

We are moving fast down that slippery slope to an authoritarian society in which the only opinions, ideas, and speech expressed are the ones permitted by the government and its corporate cohorts.

In the wake of the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol, “domestic terrorism” has become the new poster child for expanding the government’s powers at the expense of civil liberties.

Of course, “domestic terrorist” is just the latest bull’s eye phrase, to be used interchangeably with “anti-government,” “extremist” and “terrorist,” to describe anyone who might fall somewhere on a very broad spectrum of viewpoints that could be considered “dangerous.”

Watch and see: we are all about to become enemies of the state.

In a déjà vu mirroring of the legislative fallout from 9/11, and the ensuing build-up of the security state, there is a growing demand in certain sectors for the government to be given expanded powers to root out “domestic” terrorism, the Constitution be damned.

If this is a test of Joe Biden’s worthiness to head up the American police state, he seems ready.

As part of his inaugural address, President Biden pledged to confront and defeat “a rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism.” Biden has also asked the Director of National Intelligence to work with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security in carrying out a “comprehensive threat assessment” of domestic terrorism. And then to keep the parallels going, there is the proposed Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021, introduced after the Jan. 6 riots, which aims to equip the government with “the tools to identify, monitor and thwart” those who could become radicalized to violence.

Don’t blink or you’ll miss the sleight of hand.

This is the tricky part of the Deep State’s con game that keeps you focused on the shell game in front of you while your wallet is being picked clean by ruffians in your midst.

It follows the same pattern as every other convenient “crisis” used by the government as an excuse to expand its powers at the citizenry’s expense and at the expense of our freedoms.

As investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald warns:

“The last two weeks have ushered in a wave of new domestic police powers and rhetoric in the name of fighting ‘terrorism’ that are carbon copies of many of the worst excesses of the first War on Terror that began nearly twenty years ago. This New War on Terror—one that is domestic in name from the start and carries the explicit purpose of fighting ‘extremists’ and ‘domestic terrorists’ among American citizens on U.S. soil—presents the whole slew of historically familiar dangers when governments, exploiting media-generated fear and dangers, arm themselves with the power to control information, debate, opinion, activism and protests.”

Greenwald is referring to the USA Patriot Act, passed almost 20 years ago, which paved the way for the eradication of every vital safeguard against government overreach, corruption, and abuse.

Free speech, the right to protest, the right to challenge government wrongdoing, due process, a presumption of innocence, the right to self-defense, accountability and transparency in government, privacy, press, sovereignty, assembly, bodily integrity, representative government: all of these and more have become casualties in the government’s war on the American people, a war that has grown more pronounced since Sept. 11, 2001.

Some members of Congress get it.

In a letter opposing the expansion of national security powers, a handful of congressional representatives urged their colleagues not to repeat the mistakes of the past:

“While many may find comfort in increased national security powers in the wake of this attack, we must emphasize that we have been here before and we have seen where that road leads. Our history is littered with examples of initiatives sold as being necessary to fight extremism that quickly devolve into tools used for the mass violation of the human and civil rights of the American people… To expand the government’s national security powers once again at the expense of the human and civil rights of the American people would only serve to further undermine our democracy, not protect it.”

Cue the Emergency State, the government’s Machiavellian version of crisis management that justifies all manner of government tyranny in the so-called name of national security.

This is the power grab hiding in plain sight, obscured by the political machinations of the self-righteous elite. This is how the government continues to exploit crises and use them as opportunities for power grabs under the guise of national security. Indeed, this is exactly how the government added red flag gun laws, precrime surveillance, fusion centers, threat assessments, mental health assessments, involuntary confinement to its arsenal of weaponized powers.

The objective is not to make America safe again. That has never been the government’s aim.

Greenwald explains:

“Why would such new terrorism laws be needed in a country that already imprisons more of its citizens than any other country in the world as the result of a very aggressive set of criminal laws? What acts should be criminalized by new ‘domestic terrorism’ laws that are not already deemed criminal? They never say, almost certainly because—just as was true of the first set of new War on Terror laws—their real aim is to criminalize that which should not be criminalized: speech, association, protests, opposition to the new ruling coalition.”

So you see, the issue is not whether Donald Trump or Roger Stone, or MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell deserve to be banned from Twitter, even if they’re believed to be spouting misinformation, hateful ideas, or fomenting discontent.

Rather, we should be asking whether any corporation or government agency or entity representing a fusion of the two should have the power to muzzle, silence, censor, regulate, control, and altogether eradicate so-called “dangerous” or “extremist” ideas.

This unilateral power to muzzle free speech represents a far greater danger than any so-called right- or left-wing extremist might pose.

The ramifications are so far-reaching as to render almost every American an extremist in word, deed, thought, or by association.

Yet where many go wrong is in assuming that you have to be doing something illegal or challenging the government’s authority in order to be flagged as a suspicious character, labeled an enemy of the state, and locked up like a dangerous criminal.

Eventually, all you will really need to do is use certain trigger words, surf the internet, communicate using a cell phone, drive a car, stay at a hotel, purchase materials at a hardware store, take flying or boating lessons, appear suspicious, question government authority, or generally live in the United States.

The groundwork has already been laid.

The trap is set.

All that is needed is the right bait.

With the help of automated eyes and ears, a growing arsenal of high-tech software, hardware, and techniques, government propaganda urging Americans to turn into spies and snitches, as well as social media and behavior sensing software, government agents have been busily spinning a sticky spider-web of threat assessments, behavioral sensing warnings, flagged “words,” and “suspicious” activity reports aimed at snaring potential enemies of the state.

It’s the American police state’s take on the dystopian terrors foreshadowed by George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, and Phillip K. Dick all rolled up into one oppressive pre-crime and pre-thought crime package.

What’s more, the technocrats who run the surveillance state don’t even have to break a sweat while monitoring what you say, what you read, what you write, where you go, how much you spend, whom you support, and with whom you communicate. Computers by way of AI (artificial intelligence) now do the tedious work of trolling social media, the internet, text messages, and phone calls for potentially anti-government remarks, all of which is carefully recorded, documented, and stored to be used against you someday at a time and place of the government’s choosing.

For instance, police in major American cities have been using predictive policing technology that allows them to identify individuals—or groups of individuals—most likely to commit a crime in a given community. Those individuals are then put on notice that their movements and activities will be closely monitored and any criminal activity (by them or their associates) will result in harsh penalties.

In other words, the burden of proof is reversed: you are guilty before you are given any chance to prove you are innocent.

Dig beneath the surface of this kind of surveillance/police state, however, and you will find that the real purpose of pre-crime is not safety but control.

Red flag gun laws merely push us that much closer towards a suspect society where everyone is potentially guilty of some crime or another and must be preemptively rendered harmless.

This is the same government that has a growing list—shared with fusion centers and law enforcement agencies—of ideologies, behaviors, affiliations, and other characteristics that could flag someone as suspicious and result in their being labeled potential enemies of the state.

For instance, if you believe in and exercise your rights under the Constitution (namely, your right to speak freely, worship freely, associate with like-minded individuals who share your political views, criticize the government, own a weapon, demand a warrant before being questioned or searched, or any other activity viewed as potentially anti-government, racist, bigoted, anarchic or sovereign), you could be at the top of the government’s terrorism watch list.

Moreover, as a New York Times editorial warns, you may be an anti-government extremist (a.k.a. domestic terrorist) in the eyes of the police if you are afraid that the government is plotting to confiscate your firearms, if you believe the economy is about to collapse and the government will soon declare martial law, or if you display an unusual number of political and/or ideological bumper stickers on your car.

According to one FBI latest report, you might also be classified as a domestic terrorism threat if you espouse conspiracy theories, especially if you “attempt to explain events or circumstances as the result of a group of actors working in secret to benefit themselves at the expense of others” and are “usually at odds with official or prevailing explanations of events.”

Additionally, according to Michael C. McGarrity, the FBI’s assistant director of the counterterrorism division, the bureau now “classifies domestic terrorism threats into four main categories: racially motivated violent extremism, anti-government/anti-authority extremism, animal rights/environmental extremism, and abortion extremism.”

In other words, if you dare to subscribe to any views that are contrary to the government’s, you may well be suspected of being a domestic terrorist and treated accordingly.

Again, where many Americans go wrong is in naively assuming that you have to be doing something illegal or harmful in order to be flagged and targeted for some form of intervention or detention.

In fact, U.S. police agencies have been working to identify and manage potential extremist “threats,” violent or otherwise, before they can become actual threats for some time now.

In much the same way that the USA Patriot Act was used as a front to advance the surveillance state, allowing the government to establish a far-reaching domestic spying program that turned every American citizen into a criminal suspect, the government’s anti-extremism program renders otherwise lawful, nonviolent activities as potentially extremist.

In fact, all you need to do these days to end up on a government watch list or be subjected to heightened scrutiny is use certain trigger words (like cloud, pork, and pirates), surf the internet, communicate using a cell phone, limp or stutter, drive a car, stay at a hotel, attend a political rally, express yourself on social media, appear mentally ill, serve in the military, disagree with a law enforcement official, call in sick to work, purchase materials at a hardware store, take flying or boating lessons, appear suspicious, appear confused or nervous, fidget or whistle or smell bad, be seen in public waving a toy gun or anything remotely resembling a gun (such as a water nozzle or remote control or a walking cane), stare at a police officer, question government authority, or appear to be pro-gun or pro-freedom.

Be warned: once you get on such a government watch list—whether it’s a terrorist watch list, a mental health watch list, a dissident watch list, or a red flag gun watch list—there’s no clear-cut way to get off, whether or not you should actually be on there.

You will be tracked wherever you go.

You will be flagged as a potential threat and dealt with accordingly.

This is pre-crime on an ideological scale and it’s been a long time coming.

The government has been building its pre-crime, surveillance network in concert with fusion centers (of which there are 78 nationwide, with partners in the corporate sector and globally), data collection agencies, behavioral scientists, corporations, social media, and community organizers and by relying on cutting-edge technology for surveillance, facial recognition, predictive policing, biometrics, and behavioral epigenetics (in which life experiences alter one’s genetic makeup).

If you’re not scared yet, you should be.

Connect the dots.

Start with the powers amassed by the government under the USA Patriot Act, note the government’s ever-broadening definition of what it considers to be an “extremist,” then add in the government’s detention powers under NDAA, the National Security Agency’s far-reaching surveillance networks, and fusion centers that collect and share surveillance data between local, state and federal police agencies.

To that, add tens of thousands of armed, surveillance drones and balloons that are beginning to blanket American skies, facial recognition technology that will identify and track you wherever you go, and whatever you do. And then to complete the picture, toss in the real-time crime centers being deployed in cities across the country, which will be attempting to “predict” crimes and identify so-called criminals before they happen based on widespread surveillance, complex mathematical algorithms, and prognostication programs.

Hopefully, you’re starting to understand how easy we’ve made it for the government to identify, label, target, defuse and detain anyone it views as a potential threat for a variety of reasons that run the gamut from mental illness to having a military background to challenging its authority to just being on the government’s list of persona non grata.

There’s always a price to pay for standing up to the powers-that-be.

Yet as I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, you don’t even have to be a dissident to get flagged by the government for surveillance, censorship, and detention.

All you really need to be is a citizen of the American police state.

A Wave of Abusive Federal Prosecutions Is Coming

By William L. Anderson | Mises.org Monday, February 01, 2021

The violent protest at the US Capitol on January 6 has long been over, but the upcoming Biden administration’s response to it is likely to do greater violence to the US Constitution and the rule of law than anything the worst of the protesters could have accomplished.

Thanks to the response of the George W. Bush administration and Congress to the 9/11 attacks almost two decades ago, Joe Biden’s prosecutors will have plenty of legal ammunition to go after their political enemies. It won’t stop with prosecuting people who broke into the Capitol.

J.D. Tuccille writes:

After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, horrified Americans were ready to embrace virtually any proposal that promised to keep them safe. Government officials, for their part, were eager to curry favor with the fearful public and saw an opportunity to promote legislation and policies that had failed to win support in the past. The result was a surge of authoritarianism from which the U.S. has yet to recover. Now—with the public understandably concerned after the January 6 storming of the Capitol—we should brace ourselves for another wave of political responses that would, again, erode our liberty.

We are in very uncertain and certainly perilous waters. In the post-Trump era, Democrats want revenge and they want it now. I fear for my friends that worked in the Trump government, with Democrats calling for them to be blacklisted, harassed, and ultimately “canceled.” Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who continues to shed any perception that she wants anything less than a soft totalitarian country, has publicly called for a “media literacy” initiative that reminds one of Orwell’s Ministry of Truth.

In an interview with MSNBC (surprised?), former CIA head John Brennan declared that the Biden administration agencies

“are moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about” the pro-Trump “insurgency” that harbors “religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians.”

Not surprisingly, there was zero pushback on his statement from the mainstream media, and one suspects that probably most mainstream journalists today would not mind seeing large numbers of people they dislike being hauled off to prison or just plain disappearing at the hands of the authorities.

For that matter, the Trump presidency was hardly the Libertarian Moment, and Trump gave one the sense that if he could control the flow of news, he would gladly do so. Whether or not one believes he was cheated out of office in the last election, for him to claim he “won in a landslide” and to call for official election results to be overturned can hardly leave one surprised that the DC “rally” turned into an out-and-out donnybrook.

Unfortunately, the violence that followed has given the Biden people the fig leaf they need to move against the Constitution and rule of law on many fronts—all the while claiming they are “restoring democracy.” The United States could well be at a tipping point at which whatever pretenses we had toward constitutional government are cast aside for a “pragmatic” state that addresses the so-called needs at hand and is not bound by legal niceties. For now, my guess is that Biden will unleash federal prosecutors who will face no constraints whatsoever, and that means a lot of innocent people are going to have their lives ruined.

Before going into more detail, I explain why the Bush administration nearly twenty years ago made Biden’s job much easier for him than it ever should be under the rule of law. In the early 2000s, I began to write about the abuses that accompanied the expansion of federal criminal law and published (often with Candice E. Jackson) in a number of outlets including Regulation,Reason, the Independent Review, and the Mises page. Because of what Jackson and I called the “highly derivative” nature of federal criminal law (the actual charges are compiled from actions that usually are only prosecuted under state law), it is easy for federal prosecutors to draw up a list of charges that are hard to fight, have draconian penalties, but often involve criminalizing actions that harmed no one, and certainly did not do harm that is up to standards of criminal conduct.

In the hysterical aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, Congress rushed through the PATRIOT Act (which Joe Biden claimed to have written almost single-handedly—probably an exaggeration), a law that even at the time legal experts doubted would be effective in preventing acts of political terrorism but that allowed federal prosecutors to throw other “crimes” under the umbrella of “terrorism,” thus permitting them to box in defendants and force them to plead out to lesser charges and receive substantial prison time.

At the time, civil liberties groups like the American Civil Liberties Union along with media entities such as the New York Times served at least a semieffective role in blunting the more outrageous attempts by prosecutors to expand their powers. (The NYT had not shown the same restraint during the 1980s when Rudy Giuliani abused his powers in the infamous Wall Street prosecutions, instead allowing Giuliani to break numerous federal statutes in the paper’s crusade to “fight capitalism.”)

This time, however, it is highly doubtful that either the ACLU or the media will do anything but be cheerleaders for the Biden DOJ, given that the government says it will specifically target what it sees as threats from the right, something the NYT recently praised. A couple of recent incidents regarding the media and the so-called conservative threat are instructive.

Shortly after the January 6 Capitol riots, a number of mainstream news outlets breathlessly reported that the leaders of the protests actually were planning on kidnapping and assassinating a number of political figures. Not one mainstream news outlet questioned the feds’ claims. Shortly thereafter, however, CNN (which gave the original charges massive coverage) reported that the Department of Justice was walking back its original statements.

Not to be outdone, the Associated Press on January 11 presented the specter of armed uprisings all over the country:

The FBI is warning of plans for armed protests at all 50 state capitals and in Washington, D.C., in the days leading up to President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, stoking fears of more bloodshed after last week’s deadly siege at the U.S. Capitol.

The dispatch continues:

An internal FBI bulletin warned, as of Sunday, that the nationwide protests may start later this week and extend through Biden’s Jan. 20 inauguration, according to two law enforcement officials who read details of the memo to The Associated Press. Investigators believe some of the people are members of extremist groups, the officials said.

As we know, there were no armed uprisings, no right-wing armed mobs storming capitols and no massive protests. Now, on Inauguration Day, there was mob political violence and lots of it, but the mobs were leftist and the cities were Portland and Seattle and the national media saw little reason to publicize the protests, as they did not fit The Narrative.

Even the January 6 riots, as bad as they were, did not fall into the category of a coup, no matter what journalists and other political pundits were claiming. David French went even so far as to claim it was a “Christian insurrection” because some of the protesters said they were Christians and someone played Christian music on a loudspeaker. While it was an ugly scene nonetheless, does anyone (at least besides David French) really believe that the vast government regime known as The United States of America was in danger of being overthrown by a mob led by someone in a buffalo costume?

Yet, the same journalistic and political elites who excoriated Donald Trump for sending some agents to protect the federal courthouses in Seattle and Portland from Antifa mobs apparently had no problem with Biden dispatching thousands of federal troops to turn Washington, DC, into an armed camp. It is the same kind of overreaction that leads the media and political elites to demand that the government engage in massive surveillance of half the country.

Not all who are considered to be on the left are good with Biden’s internal spying plan, including Tulsi Gabbard, the former member of Congress who angered fellow Democrats with her appeals to civil liberties during her appearance in the presidential primary last year. National Review reports:

“What characteristics are we looking for as we are building this profile of a potential extremist, what are we talking about? Religious extremists, are we talking about Christians, evangelical Christians, what is a religious extremist? Is it somebody who is pro-life? Where do you take this?” Gabbard said.

She said the proposed legislation could create “a very dangerous undermining of our civil liberties, our freedoms in our Constitution, and a targeting of almost half of the country.”

“You start looking at obviously, have to be a white person, obviously likely male, libertarians, anyone who loves freedom, liberty, maybe has an American flag outside their house, or people who, you know, attended a Trump rally,” Gabbard said.

Even more eye-opening is the missive that the hard-left publication Jacobin has launched against this round of surveillance. Now, the publication that is openly nostalgic about the former East Germany hardly is going to champion civil liberties or even basic freedoms, but the people there are politically astute enough to know that a government with vast surveillance powers isn’t going to stop at going after political conservatives:

However such legislation may be justified with liberal-sounding language, there’s absolutely no reason to believe authorities wouldn’t use new powers to target groups that have nothing to do with Donald Trump or Trumpism. Police almost certainly infiltrated Black Lives Matter protests last summer, and American law enforcement has a long and ignominious history of targeting progressive groups—not to mention socialists, trade unions, and civil rights activists. As this history suggests, the premise behind any new anti-terrorism law will also be wrong on its face: the American state hardly faces excessive restrictions on its capacity to surveil, discipline, and punish. (The FBI, to take an obvious example, already possesses considerable power to investigate groups suspected of extremist activity.)

The problem is that the traditional gatekeepers of civil liberties that we once had in the media and in political and academic circles has disappeared into the maw of political tribalism. Matt Taibbi, a former writer for Rolling Stone and now an independent journalist, sees mainstream journalism as little more than an echo chamber for progressive politicians in which journalists seem to pretend they are players in a version of The West Wing:

West Wing was General Hospital for rich white liberals, a seven-season love letter to the enlightened attitudes of the Bobo-in-Paradise demographic. If that’s the self-image of the national press, it’s no wonder they make people want to vomit. The coverage of Biden’s inauguration, another celebration of those attitudes, was an almost perfect mathematical inverse of late-stage Trump reporting, a monument to groveling sycophancy.

John Heileman at MSNBC compared Biden’s speech to Abe Lincoln’s second inaugural, and suggested that the sight of “the Clintons, the Bushes, and the Obamas” gathered for the event was like “the Marvel superheroes all back in one place” (this was not the first post-election Avengers comparison to be heard on cable). Rachel Maddow talked about going through “half a box of Kleenex” as she watched the proceedings. Chris Wallace on Fox said Biden’s lumbering speech was “the best inaugural address I ever heard,” John Kennedy’s “Ask Not” speech included. The joyful tone was set the night before by CNN’s David Challen, who said lights along the Washington Mall were like “extensions of Joe Biden’s arms embracing America.”

Journalists who are going to claim that a bunch of lights in paper bags symbolize a Joe Biden group hug are not going to be intellectually or professionally capable of taking a hard look at the government’s attempt to arrest and imprison political and religious conservatives and libertarians, since they already have convinced themselves that these people constitute a dire threat to what is left of the republic. They more likely will serve as the publicity arm for the DOJ—as long as prosecutors stick to going after men in buffalo suits waving Trump flags.

To be depressingly honest, the only barrier to the Biden administration’s launching of an American version of the Stasi against dissenters on the right would be the individual consciences of those in charge of the spying and making arrests. Much of the Democratic Party and most of mainstream journalists seem to have no problem with criminalizing speech and launching a regime of mass arrest and imprisonment.

As I see it, we no longer are looking at threats to our liberty in the abstract. For years, I have launched missive after missive at federal (and sometimes state) prosecutors and not feared for my own safety and liberty, save a few death threats I received when I aggressively wrote against Michael Nifong, the dishonest prosecutor in the infamous Duke Lacrosse Case, and I didn’t take those seriously.

This situation is different because those who were the gatekeepers of liberty now have decided that liberty itself is a threat to our well-being. When the New York Times comes out against free speech and when journalists call for the power of the state to be used against other journalists they don’t like, we have turned the corner and are headed for the abyss.

No, I don’t expect to be hauled off to a concentration camp because I have written articles critical of federal prosecutors, but this country now is building a critical mass of journalists, college professors and administrators, and political figures that well might see concentration camps and other “reeducation” devices as being legitimate political tools. We are not as far away from such a dystopian future as one might think.

Federal criminal law provides these antiliberty groups the kinds of devices that can be used to criminalize speech and turn garden-variety dissenters into criminals. We should not be surprised if ambitious US attorneys in the Biden administration, cheered on by the likes of the New York Times and MSNBC, decide it is time to do just that.

The Government Is Going To Start Treating Domestic “Extremists” The Same As ISIS Or Al-Qaeda Terrorists?

By Michael Snyder | End of The American Dream Wednesday, February 17, 2021

Many Americans were perfectly fine with Islamic terrorists being shipped off to Guantanamo Bay where they would be endlessly waterboarded and tortured in countless other ways.

But now members of Congress are talking about “applying the same penalties” to domestic “extremists” here in the United States.

Does that mean that American citizens will soon be grabbed off the streets and sent to prison camps indefinitely without a trial?

Personally, I am very much against terrorism wherever it is found all over the globe, but what some of our politicians are proposing to do to fight “domestic extremism” goes way over the line.

Once you are done reading this article, I believe that you will share my concerns.

Even before the last election, the Department of Homeland Security was putting out some very alarming statements. For example, last October DHS officials came to the conclusion that U.S.-based extremists are now “the primary terrorist threat inside the United States”…

Look sharp by wearing exclusive gear found only at our store.

“The primary terrorist threat inside the United States will stem from lone offenders and small cells of individuals,” said the department’s first Homeland Threat Assessment. “Some U.S.-based violent extremists have capitalized on increased social and political tensions in 2020, which will drive an elevated threat environment at least through early 2021.”

If DHS officials had been referring to the groups that have been rioting, looting and burning our cities for the past 12 months, that assessment would make a lot of sense.

But of course that was not who they were talking about.

Following the election, we witnessed the horrific attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6th. In the aftermath of that attack, Democrats in Congress have been “insisting that domestic terrorism has eclipsed the threat from foreign actors such as the Islamic State and al-Qaeda”…

The attack has left many lawmakers, and especially Democrats, insisting that domestic terrorism has eclipsed the threat from foreign actors such as the Islamic State and al-Qaeda. DHS and its agencies are responsible for securing the country’s borders, ports, transportation and cyber systems, generally leaving the monitoring of extremist groups and terrorism investigations to the FBI. But DHS and its agencies have nearly eight times as many employees as the FBI, and calls for the department to play a more muscular role in combating domestic extremism have policymakers looking at new ways to enlist its resources.

Once again, these Democrats are not talking about the groups that attack police stations, courthouses and federal buildings on an almost nightly basis.

Instead, their focus is almost exclusively on those that have “far right” political views.

Democrat Tulsi Gabbard is warning that her colleagues in Congress intend to define “extremist” so broadly that it could apply to nearly half the country…

Last month, I wrote an article about the new bill that she was talking about. It is called the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021, and it is basically the Patriot Act on steroids.

Of course it won’t be used against terrorists on the left. During a recent discussion about domestic extremism, Democrat Bennie Thompson (who is the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee) specifically used the word “patriots” to describe the sort of person that he intends to target…

“A lot of them mask themselves under some guise of being patriots or some form of citizen, but the question is, what do they advocate?”

That statement should chill you to the core.

“Republican” Michael McCaul, who is also on the House Homeland Security Committee, has gone even farther.

If you can believe it, he is actually suggesting that domestic extremists should face “the same penalties as those that exist for terrorism that originates overseas”…

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Tex.), the committee’s former chairman, joined lawmakers calling for specific federal sanctions for domestic terrorism, potentially applying the same penalties as those that exist for terrorism that originates overseas. Such legislation could include penalties for providing material support to domestic groups and laws holding technology companies responsible for violent and extremist content on their platforms.

“I think it sends a strong message about where Congress is that we’re going to treat domestic terrorism on an equal plane as international terrorism,” McCaul said.

So what happens to terrorists overseas?

They are ruthlessly gunned down, their homes are hit by unexpected drone strikes, or if they are really lucky they get hauled off to Guantanamo Bay.

Without a doubt, terrorism has no place in our society.

And if authorities really wanted to do something about it, they should arrest the terrorists that are endlessly committing violence in Seattle, Portland and other major cities.

But whenever an American citizen is arrested, it is imperative that every constitutional right is respected and that citizen is given a fair trial.

Sadly, the measures that some members of Congress are now proposing cross quite a few lines that should never, ever be crossed.

Detaining U.S. citizens indefinitely without a trial is something that should never, ever be done.

Sending drones to “take out” U.S. citizens simply because of what they believe is something that should never, ever be done.

And torturing U.S. citizens in the name of “fighting extremism” is something that should never, ever be done.

All of these things have been done to ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorists, and now members of Congress want “domestic extremists” to be treated the same way.

Since the definition of a “domestic extremist” now covers close to half the country, there is a very good chance that you could potentially be considered a “domestic extremist” too.

We have reached such a critical turning point in our history, and we really are on the verge of losing all of our precious constitutional rights.

Pack your bags, we're going to Gitmo.

People used to curse at us Libertarians for being against the Patriot Act. I guess they're not laughing too much anymore.

What Insurrection? A new article by Jacob Hornberger at the Future of Freedom Foundation. (Full disclosure: I supported Jacob Hornberger when he was running for the Libertarian presidential nomination last year.)

Quote
Somebody still needs to get a memo to the Justice Department about the so-called insurrection at the Capitol on January 6 because it has yet to charge anyone with that offense. All I is see is a range of criminal offenses like disorderly conduct, assault, trespass, illegal gun possession, and “conspiracy” to commit these types of offenses. (Question: How come no one ever accuses the Justice Department of being a “conspiracy theorist,” given the countless times it charges people with conspiracy?) Yet, all we continue to hear from the mainstream press and the liberal (i.e., progressive, leftist, socialist) establishment is that the protestors were hell bent on taking control of Congress.

How can anyone really buy into this nonsense, especially when the Justice Department and its grand juries are not? It’s like these people live in an alternative universe in which they convince themselves of a false reality and then all reinforce it to each other.

By now, we are all accustomed to what happens when someone wants to kill people. He takes a high-powered rifle or a handgun and starts shooting people. Columbine comes to mind. So does Las Vegas. There are many other examples.

That’s what people who were hell bent on taking control over the Capitol would have done. They would have gone into the Capitol and begun shooting and killing people. They didn’t do that. At most they did what the Justice Department is accusing them of doing — committing disorderly conduct, trespass, assault, etc.

Let’s assume the worst and imagine that the trespassers had entered the Capitol and begun shooting people, with the aim of taking control over the Capitol. Despite the manifest fears expressed by the mainstream press and the liberal establishment, there was zero chance that they would have succeeded in their ultimate aim.

The Capitol would have been surrounded by FBI officers and National Guard troops. There might have been negotiations for surrender. There might have been a siege in which the malefactors were denied food and water. But the final outcome would never have been in doubt. If the marauders refused to surrender, law-enforcement officials and National Guard troops would have stormed the Capitol and retaken control of it. Protestors who survived would have been charged with such crimes as insurrection, kidnapping, and murder.

A much more interesting and different situation, however, would have occurred if President Trump had orchestrated a violent and deadly takeover of the Capitol with the expressed aim of remaining in power as president. In that case, you would have had what many people in the mainstream press and liberal establishment were fearing in the run-up to inauguration day — a situation in which Trump was refusing to give up the reins of power and, in the process, orchestrating the violent takeover of the Capitol by his supporters.

Then what?

That possibility was undoubtedly the reason the Pentagon decided to issue its public declaration that Joe Biden was going to be the new president of the United States. (See my article “The Pentagon Speaks.”) The Pentagon’s statement was essentially a declaration to Donald Trump: Don’t even think about it.

What if Trump had ignored the Pentagon’s pronouncement and proceeded to remain in power and have his supporters violently take control over Congress? How could law enforcement officials and National Guard troops act to remove the marauders from Congress without lawful orders to proceed, especially when their commander-in-chief was ordering them to cease and desist?

To understand what then would have happened, we can turn to what occurred on 9/11 in 1973 in Chile. The national-security branch of the government was insisting that the president of the country, Salvador Allende, step down in the middle of his term. Allende refused, and a war broke out between two branches of the national government — the executive branch and the national-security branch.

The national-security branch surrounded Allende’s position in the National Palace with tanks and infantry and began firing at his position. Air Force jets fired missiles into the palace with the intent on killing Allende.

For his part, Allende, who was wearing a military helmet and firing a high-powered rifle, valiantly fought back, along with some loyal aides. But they never had a chance against the overwhelming power of the military-intelligence branch. When the war was over, Allende was dead and many of his aides were captured, imprisoned, tortured, and reeducated.

As we now know, that Chilean coup was instigated and supported by the U.S. national-security establishment. In fact, when the overall commander of Chile’s armed forces, Gen. Rene Schneider, stood in opposition to the coup because of his duty to support and defend the Chilean constitution, U.S. national-security state officials conspired to have him violently kidnapped to remove him as an obstacle to the coup. Schneider was shot and killed during the kidnapping attempt.

Thus, what happened to Allende is precisely what would have happened if Trump had decided to remain in office and have his supporters take violent control over the Capitol. The message that the Joint Chiefs of Staff were delivering to Trump with their proclamation that Biden was now the new official president was that Trump, if he decided to remain in power, was going to meet the same fate that Allende met at the hands of the Chilean military-intelligence establishment.

In other words, if Trump had chosen to remain in power, as his critics feared he would, the Pentagon would have ordered tanks and infantry to surround the White House and begin firing on the president’s position, just like what happened in Chile. Air Force jets would have begun firing missiles into Trump’s position in the White House. While Trump and his supporters would have tried to fight back, they never would have had a chance, any more than Allende did. The overwhelming power of a national-security establishment makes it the ultimate decider of who is going to be in power.

Maybe Trump never seriously considered it, as his critics feared. But if he did, he was smart to see the handwriting on the wall and not to try it. At the end of the war, he would have lost, just like Allende did. And those who had supported Trump and who survived would then have been charged with insurrection.

Capitol Police Chief Claims “Militia Groups Want To Blow Up The Capitol” During Biden State Of The Union

Head of Capitol Police says domestic terrorists want to "kill as many members as possible."

By Kelen McBreen | INFOWARS.COM Thursday, February 25, 2021

Speaking to the House Appropriations Committee on Thursday, Acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman said Chairman Biden’s yet-to-be-announced State of the Union address is the target of domestic terrorists.

According to Yogananda, “Members of the militia groups that were present on Jan. 6 have stated their desires that they want to blow up the Capitol and kill as many members as possible with a direct nexus to the State of the Union.”

Of course, she provided no evidence showing this claim to be true.

The Capitol Police leader used the alleged threat as a precedent for the current large-scale fence erected around the complex and the security buildup in DC.

“So based on that information,” she explained, “we think that it’s prudent that Capitol Police maintain its enhanced and robust security posture until we address those vulnerabilities.”

Pittman also alleged Capitol Police intelligence found the individuals who stormed the Capitol “weren’t only interested in attacking members and officers. They wanted to send a symbolic message to the nation as to who was in charge of that legislative process.”

Watch Chief Yogananda’s testimony below:

Security At Capitol Being INCREASED Following Warning Of Militia ‘Plot’
Huge razor wire fence and thousands of troops not enough?

By Steve Watson | INFOWARS.COM Wednesday, March 03, 2021

Capitol Police announced Tuesday that security is being increased in DC following an intelligence warning that militias are planning a breach on Thursday March 4th.

Capitol Hill is already surrounded by a huge razor wire topped fence, with thousands of National Guard troops still stationed within its perimeters, but apparently that is not enough.

Fox 5 News reports that Capitol police ‘sources’ warned that the militia group the Three Percenters, who have been accused of involvement in the January 6th riot, is planning to cause another breach this week.

Fox News also reported that March 4th is the day that QAnon followers believe President Trump is going to return and be reinstated, as it was historically the day on which presidents were inaugurated.

The report also states that “There is also some chatter about March 20, the day the Republican party came to life in 1834. And, there’s even some noise about April 15: federal income tax day.”

As we previously reported, the Capitol Police Chief has proposed erecting a permanent fence around the centre of government in DC.

Internal documents have also indicated that DC authorities want to keep the National Guard troops in place through the Summer and into Fall.

The January 6th events have been used to implement a military presence around the centre of government, which is now being held in place with fresh ‘threats’ begin touted every week as justification.

laws against domestic terrorism are unnecessary and dangerous. Violent acts are already illegal, and any new tools will only be used against those who annoy the powerful.

Quote
There is no crisis, real or imagined, that government officials don't see as an opportunity to expand their authority and hurt their enemies. America's ongoing political tensions, which erupted on January 6 into the Capitol riot, have become an excuse for spurring the latest campaign against "domestic terrorism." But violent acts, it should be noted, are already illegal under existing law. New "anti-terrorism" tools will inevitably be deployed against those who annoy whoever is currently in office.

"I never expected that … when I returned to the Justice Department to be sworn in on my first day as Acting Deputy Attorney General, that to get to the building, I would have to pass through numerous checkpoints under escort of armed agents in a city under lockdown. I never expected to have to walk through the Department of Justice hallways filled with hundreds of soldiers positioned to protect the Department from terrorists," Acting Deputy Attorney General John Carlin huffed during a February 26 briefing. "[W]e must make it known that the Department of Justice is prioritizing the detection, the disruption, and deterrence of the threat of domestic terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms."

That Carlin's statement came just days after Brian O'Hare, president of the FBI Agents Association, called for formally "making domestic terrorism a federal crime" provides ample evidence that those work in government see an opportunity to extend their reach and build in some job security. What could improve the prospects for such a law than the aftermath of a lethal outburst that frightened lawmakers?

Sure enough, a proposed bill—the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021—would do the job.

"Following the terrifying attack on the Capitol this month, which left five dead and many injured, the entire nation has been seized by the potential threat of more terrorist attacks in Washington and around the country," says sponsor Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Ill.). "Unlike after 9/11, the threat that reared its ugly head on January 6th is from domestic terror groups and extremists, often racially-motivated violent individuals. America must be vigilant to combat those radicalized to violence, and the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act gives our government the tools to identify, monitor and thwart their illegal activities."

But there's little evidence that new legislation targeting domestic terrorism is needed at all.

"The FBI already has all the authority it needs to investigate and prosecute perpetrators of white nationalist violence," Faiza Patel of the Brennan Center for Justice pointed out during a 2019 push for such legislation. "Congress has enacted 51 federal crimes of terrorism that apply to entirely domestic acts and further prohibited material support toward the commission of these violent crimes."

Even advocates of domestic terrorism laws admit the point.

"To be clear, it is not that there are inadequate criminal statutes on the books," concedes former Acting Assistant Attorney General for national security Mary B. McCord. With regard to the Capitol riot, she admits that "even though there is not a crime called terrorism that applies to this, this would certainly fit within the definition of crimes intended to intimidate or coerce and influence a policy through intimidation or coercion."

But McCord complains that existing laws against ideologically fueled violence "fail to equate it under federal law, as it deserves to be equated, with the actions of ISIS-inspired terrorists who engage in violence in pursuit of their equally insidious goals."

So, the point of a new law is apparently to send a message. But it's a message that comes at a high cost.

"Throughout its history, the FBI has used its authorities to investigate and monitor political protesters and civil rights activists," Brenn Center's Patel added.

"The overwhelming tendency in domestic antiterrorism has been to use invasive and unconstitutional surveillance techniques to criminalize legitimate dissent," agrees former Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.), who was the only member of the upper chamber to vote against the subsequently much-abused Patriot Act in 2001. "This history was a basis for the recent statement by 135 civil-rights and civil-liberties organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union, Amnesty International and the NAACP, in opposition to any new domestic terrorism laws. I am proud to echo their call."

The potential for weaponizing efforts against domestic terrorism was illustrated when then-Attorney General Bill Barr insisted during last summer's riots that "the violence instigated and carried out by Antifa and other similar groups in connection with the rioting is domestic terrorism" and promised federal intervention—often over the objections of state and local officials.

Since then, of course, political fortunes have reversed, and the White House is now held by Democrat President Joe Biden. Instead of the left-wing radicals who troubled Barr, Schneider's bill calls out "White supremacists and neo-Nazis." In their statements, Schneider and his allies troublingly broaden their concerns, warning of vaguely defined "extremists."

"[T]his is an issue that all Democrats, Republicans, independents, Libertarians should be extremely concerned about, especially because we don't have to guess about where this goes or how this ends," cautions former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii). She calls the proposed domestic terrorism bill "a very dangerous undermining of our civil liberties, our freedoms in our Constitution, and a targeting of almost half of the country."

Which half of the country is targeted will depend on who wields the authority to battle "domestic terrorism." Elections come and go, but laws remain to be turned by those in office against whoever is out of favor. And, if terrorists can't be found to justify expanded powers, perhaps they'll be made.

"Indeed, in some cases the Federal Bureau of Investigation may have created terrorists out of law-abiding individuals by conducting sting operations that facilitated or invented the target's willingness to act," Human Rights Watch reported in 2014 of existing laws against terrorism.

All of this to target acts that even advocates of new laws admit are already illegal under existing legislation. The United States doesn't need more laws against "domestic terrorism," it needs to prosecute those who violently attacks others, to respect the free speech rights of people who anger the powerful, and to reject government officials' self-serving calls for job security.

FBI Admits No Firearms Were Seized During Capitol ‘Insurrection,’ Only Shot Fired Was Cop Killing Ashli Babbitt

By Chris Menahan | Information Liberation Thursday, March 04, 2021

The FBI admitted under questioning from Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) on Wednesday that no firearms were confiscated during the so-called Capitol “insurrection,” no one has been charged for having a firearm in the Capitol or on Capitol grounds, and the only shot fired was from a Capitol police officer killing unarmed protester Ashli Babbitt with a bullet to the neck.

WATCH:

Partial transcript:

RON JOHNSON: How many firearms were confiscated in the Capitol or on Capitol grounds that day?

FBI COUNTERTERRORISM CHIEF JILL SANBORN: To my knowledge we have not recovered any on that day from any other arrests at the scene at this point…

JOHNSON: Nobody has been charged with an actual firearm weapon in the Capitol or on Capitol grounds?

SANBORN: Correct…

JOHNSON: How many shots were fired?

SANBORN: I believe the only shots that were fired were the ones that resulted in the death of the one lady.

“The one lady,” Ms. Sanborn, is Ashli Babbitt — a 14-year Air Force veteran who served four tours spreading democracy overseas only to executed for demanding democracy at home.

She had more honor and integrity in her pinky finger than anyone in your corrupt organization.

Pelosi Claims Capitol Is Under Threat From ‘All The President’s Men’

National Guard requested to remain in DC for another two months

By Steve Watson | INFOWARS.COM Friday, March 05, 2021

As it was announced that the National Guard will be asked to stay stationed around the Capitol for another TWO MONTHS Thursday, Nancy Pelosi claimed that the centre of government is under threat from “all the President’s men”, a reference to Trump supporters.

“Between COVID — where we need to have vaccinations more broadly in the Capitol so that many more people can come here and do their jobs — [and] the threat of all the president’s men out there, we have to ensure with our security that we are safe enough to do our job, but not impeding [that work],” Pelosi said during a press conference.

Pelosi called for more security around the Capitol, stating “Frankly, there are a lot of us. The Senate is in, and they should be. We’re at least four times more people, and therefore all that that implies in terms of numbers of people in the Capitol — if in fact there’s any troublemakers around.”

“We have to have what we need, when we need it, and in the numbers that we need it,” Pelosi added, further claiming “It’s going to take more money to protect the Capitol in a way that enables people to come here.”

Security was ramped up Thursday amid ‘intelligence’ warnings of militia and QAnon plans to breach the Capitol again to mark the original day that inaugurations used to take place in the US.

Voting schedules were even changed, although Pelosi denied that it was due to any threat, claiming instead that it was a courtesy to Republicans.

“The silliness of this being inauguration day and that the president may be inaugurated falls into the realm of let’s not waste our time on it,” Pelosi said.

“If in fact there are any troublemakers around, it made sense,” Pelosi stated, adding “I don’t think anybody should take any encouragement that because some troublemakers might show up, that we changed our schedule. No, we just moved it a few hours.”

As we previously reported, the Capitol Police Chief has proposed erecting a permanent fence around the centre of government in DC.

Internal documents have also indicated that DC authorities want to keep the National Guard troops in place through the Summer and into Fall.

The January 6th events have been used to implement a military presence around the centre of government, which is now being held in place with fresh ‘threats’ being touted every week as justification.

Tucker: ‘Troops Will Never Leave DC; They’re There To Prop Up The Regime’

Phantom threats including "QAnon Inauguration Day" are being used to continue an occupation around the centre of government

By Steve Watson | INFOWARS.COM Friday, March 05, 2021

Tucker Carlson outlined Thursday how Democrats intend to maintain a permanent military presence in Washington DC and will continue to manufacture security threats to keep fear among leftists high.

“When you’re a liberal, the world is a very scary place, but there is one fear that rises above all other fears in the liberal mind: The fear of “the other,” Carlson opined in his monologue.

He continued “Liberals understand most of the American continent as a mysterious dark space, like a medieval map populated by drooling Trump voters and violent illiterates with extra chromosomes.”

“There’s nothing rational about that behavior, but you shouldn’t be surprised by it. Modern liberalism is not a coherent worldview, it’s a deeply unhappy, high-strung personality type. Wokeness is what you get when people are miserable inside,” Carlson added.

The host then outlined how phantom threats including “QAnon Inauguration Day” are being used to continue an occupation around the centre of government.

“What is QAnon Inauguration Day? We have no idea, and we don’t know anyone who does,” Tucker continued, adding “We’d bet money that not one Trump voter in a million had heard of it until this week, when the hysteria merchants on the other channels started yapping about it on television.”

Carlson noted how Nancy Pelosi and House leaders rescheduled votes Thursday and many even fled the Capitol, including even some Republicans, believing their own fear mongering that there would be another “peasants revolt”.

“It was all just another lie,” Tucker urged, noting that it is “not so different from when they told us we would need troops to protect Joe Biden’s inauguration. Then, they said we would need soldiers to keep QAnon away from the impeachment trial. Then, there was today’s hysteria. Next, there will be something else. Capitol Police are now saying they will need soldiers in Washington for at least two more months.”

“The troops will never leave.” Carlson emphasised, adding “As you probably figured out by now, the troops are in the Capitol for political reasons. They’re there to prop up the regime.”

He continued “If this were happening in Cameroon, our State Department would complain about it, call it ‘an offense against democracy.’ But because it’s happening here in America, we have been slow to catch on.”

The "coup" didn't happen yesterday. But don't worry, it'll happen on March 20, or April 15, or some other randomly selected date.

Are we in a state of "Permanent Coup?" It sure looks like it.

Yes...

April 15th (Tax day that those of us tax payers despise)
April 19th (patriot’s day/Lexington and concord)
April 29th (Hitler’s birthday since Trumpers are all nazi’s...)
July 4th (obviously)
September 11th (obviously)
November 3rd (anniversary of Biden’s coup)
January 6th (anniversary of “failed insurrection”)
March 4th (apparently anniversary of the insurrection that was foiled this week)

So they could use this calendar to justify the constant deployment of the national guard in the “green-zone” that is now our national capital.

Key ‘Oath Keeper’ granted pretrial release as prosecutors find no evidence of wide-ranging conspiracy to storm Capitol

By RT Saturday, March 13, 2021

A US judge has ordered the release of retired Navy officer Kenneth Caldwell, accused of being part of an Oath Keepers militia plot to invade the Capitol, pending trial, as no evidence to back the conspiracy claims has turned up.

Judge Amit Mehta said that Caldwell did not enter the Capitol building, nor was there direct evidence of him trying to force his way in.

“There are no text messages, communications by him, that speak to entering a building or trying to enter the building. And ultimately, he did not enter the building,” Mehta said, as he ordered the 65-year-old’s release from jail. Because he did not breach the Capitol grounds, he was “differently situated” from his alleged co-conspirators, the judge said, ordering Caldwell to remain at his Berryville, Virginia home under GPS monitoring.

This conspiracy case is so far the biggest in the investigation into the January 6 riot, in which a crowd of Trump supporters breached the Capitol building and disrupted the counting of electoral votes cast in the presidential election. The conspiracy charges against Caldwell were among the first to be brought in connection with the events in Washington, DC.

At Friday’s hearing, Caldwell’s attorney, David Fischer, pointed out that the prosecutors still have to provide evidence that the alleged sinister plan to infiltrate the Capitol actually existed.

While admitting that no evidence was unearthed to support the conspiracy charges, federal prosecutor Kathryn Rakoczy insisted that the militia was prepared to resort to violence.

“The bottom line from the government’s perspective is they were prepared to do violence in whatever ways they needed to,” Rakoczy, who was part of the Mueller probe into the debunked theory that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia, said, according to Politico.

Nevertheless, she admitted that prosecutors “do not have, at this point, someone explicitly saying, ‘Our plan is to storm the Capitol to stop certification,’” referring to nine alleged Oath Keepers who had been charged in February with a wide-ranging conspiracy “to commit an offense against the United States, namely, to corruptly obstruct, influence, and impede an official proceeding” as well as entering the Capitol to that effect.

Caldwell was initially described by the media as the leader of the militia. His attorney later argued that Caldwell had never been a member of the group, and although he was involved in the Oath Keepers’ preparations for January 6, the plan envisaged fending off possible left-wing violence, not storming the Capitol, his defense said.

In some regards, the prosecution of Caldwell seems to be developing along the same lines as other cases widely reported on by the US media as sinister plots. In one case, a man named Eric Munchel was photographed carrying zip-ties inside the Senate chamber, so many commentators assumed he came prepared to take hostages. It later emerged that he picked up the plastic restraints from a table inside the Capitol building, where they were left by the police.

FBI Burns Their Own Informant Who Was Allegedly The Driving Force Behind Whitmer Kidnapping Plot
Feds may be indicting informant as a form of witness intimidation over fears he could testify against them and expose their entrapment scheme in court

By Chris Menahan | Information Liberation Saturday, March 13, 2021

An FBI informant suspected of being the driving force behind the alleged plot to “kidnap” Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was quietly hit with a gun charge by the feds last week — potentially signaling the government’s suspected entrapment scheme that ensnared the “Wolverine Watchmen” militia may be falling apart.

From The Detroit News (Archive), “Feds indict Whitmer kidnapping case informant as secret rift surfaces”:

The indictment of Wisconsin resident Stephen Robeson, 58, for illegally possessing a high-powered sniper rifle is the latest legal development in a criminal case that has relied heavily on informants and undercover FBI agents to reveal violent extremism in Michigan, legal experts say.

Though prosecutors have secured the conviction of plotter Ty Garbin of Hartland Township and compiled evidence that includes secretly recorded audio, video and more than 13,000 text messages, new criminal charges against a confidential informant could be exploited by defense lawyers.

An indictment after a prolonged period of cooperation suggests the relationship between Robeson and the FBI is destroyed and that prosecutors do not plan on using him at trial, legal experts said. But defense lawyers can try to call him as a witness and attack Robeson’s credibility.

“This gives defense lawyers ammunition to create reasonable doubt,” said Andrew Arena, former special agent in charge of the FBI office in Detroit. “It could be he broke bad on them during the investigation.

“It’s a difficult proposition when you are using these guys. You’re telling them don’t commit crimes, you’re doing everything to keep on top of them. But you’re not with them 24 hours a day.”

It seems more likely that the feds are only indicting Robeson as a form of witness intimidation because they fear he could testify against them and expose their entrapment scheme in court.

[…] Three sources familiar with the investigation identified Robeson as one of the government’s undercover informants. Robeson attended and organized combat training in Wisconsin, participated in a June 2020 meeting in Dublin, Ohio, that served as a catalyst for the kidnapping plot, and he also attended a camp in northern Michigan where accused plotters underwent combat training, according to the sources.

Robeson’s name also surfaced briefly during a federal court hearing in January. Joshua Blanchard, the attorney for accused plotter Barry Croft, mentioned Robeson while arguing government informants were the main drivers in the alleged kidnapping scheme.

The one-paragraph indictment of Robeson on March 3 does not mention the Whitmer case, and it was filed five months after FBI agents say they thwarted a kidnapping plot that involved at least 14 people. The indictment alleges Robeson, a career criminal, possessed an Armalite .50-caliber sniper rifle […]

Defense lawyers have portrayed their clients as tough talkers who were exercising First Amendment rights who never carried out any kidnapping plot.

“If Steve Robeson is at this meeting, he’s the person who’s driving this and inviting people and funding it,” Blanchard said.

As I noted when this story broke in October right before the election, the FBI’s affidavit revealed they had multiple informants and undercover agents involved in this operation going all the way back to June.

They could have arrested everyone months before the election but instead they chose to wait and drop the indictments as an “October surprise.”

I predicted such a plot was going to happen two days before the story broke.

Robeson also appears to have infiltrated an anti-mask protest in July for the feds:

Last year, he drew public attention for protesting a mask mandate. He was interviewed by a local TV reporter as part of a story about protests at the Wisconsin state Capitol, where protesters spent two hours marching outside Gov. Tony Evers’ office windows.

“We understand the virus. We understand what it is,” Robeson said during the protest. “Why are we shutting our country down and restricting our movement?”

“Court documents indicate that Robeson came in contact with the militants during a pro-2nd Amendment meeting in Dublin, Ohio,” Big League Politics reported. “Adam Fox, who has been alleged to be a homeless mentally-ill man, was propped up as the patsy to lead the efforts.”

When are disability rights organizations going to stand up and demand the government stop entrapping low IQ, mentally disabled people in cockamamie terrorism plots?

We’ve seen this same pattern dozens of times.

There’s a certain percentage of any population that is highly suggestible, highly gullible, very low IQ and fraught with mental issues.

The feds should be helping these people stay out of trouble rather than entrapping them in phony terrorism plots to try and justify stripping Americans of their rights!

‘Largest Investigation in American History’: 100+ People to be Charged in Storming of US Capitol, Court Filings say
If only the feds put as much gusto into investigating the nationwide BLM riots that resulted in billions in damage and dozens of lives lost

By RT Saturday, March 13, 2021

At least another hundred people connected to the January 6 storming of the US Capitol are expected to be charged with a variety of crimes, according to prosecutors.

“The investigation continues and the government expects that at least one hundred additional individuals will be charged,” claimed the prosecutors in court filings first reported by Fox News on Friday, noting that 300 people have already been charged and that the Justice Department is also “investigating conspiratorial activity” that may have taken place before the riot.

They added that the investigation and subsequent prosecution “will likely be one of the largest in American history, both in terms of the number of defendants prosecuted and the nature and volume of the evidence.”

Crimes being investigated allegedly include trespassing, violent conduct, assault against police officers, the theft and destruction of government property, civil disorder, conspiracy, and “firearms offenses,” among others.

The court filings also claimed that over 900 search warrants have been conducted around the country since the incident, and that over 15,000 hours of footage has been compiled as evidence.

Supporters of former President Donald Trump stormed the US Capitol on January 6, just two weeks before the inauguration of President Joe Biden, to protest Trump’s electoral defeat. One Capitol Police officer and four protesters died during the incident, and many others were injured.

The Biden administration used the storming of the Capitol to post thousands of National Guard soldiers in Washington, DC – where they have been positioned for over two months, despite a lack of violent activity in the area – and have requested to keep the soldiers there through late May, despite the National Guard Association calling it “completely inappropriate at best” and “illegal at worst.”

A poll showed that Americans have been more concerned about violent riots that took place in cities across the country during the summer of 2020 than the January 6 storming of the Capitol, but believe those involved in the Capitol incident will be held more accountable for their actions than the rioters last year.

"The time for war has not yet come, but it will come and that soon, and when it does come, my advice is to draw the sword and throw away the scabbard." Gen. T.J. Jackson, March 1861
