Austin Police Warn Antifa/BLM Planning Terror Attacks & Mass Shootings Downtown

Infowars received internal intelligence reports from high-level APD sources of plans by Antifa to take over parts of downtown Austin to establish CHAZ-type autonomous area

By Jamie White | INFOWARS.COM Saturday, August 01, 2020

Militant Antifa and Black Lives Matter terrorists are planning to siege downtown Austin on Saturday by committing terror attacks using heavy weapons, roadblocks, and even snipers to establish a CHAZ-like autonomous zone, according to internal Austin Police documents.

Our sources inside the APD have asked us not to publish the documents because it would lead back to them, but they are voluminous and detailed, and we have cross-checked the information and confirmed it to be accurate.

The intelligence reports are meticulously linked to the source postings by Antifa and Black Lives Matter in their public and private Facebook groups and on other internet postings.

According to the documents, a leftist “patriot militia organization” called the Texas State Guerrillas (TXG-M) may be mobilizing for the purpose of spearheading Saturday’s protest called, “March to Amplify Black Voices and Defund the Police.”

“The Texas State Guerrillas Militia has engaged in pre-operational planning for their activities dubbed Operation Gridlock, and intends to use gun trucks, medics, riflemen, navigators, and ground teams to scan for and eliminate threats,” the document states.

The group also “advises that their main purpose is to deny non-affiliated cars access to the crowd to ensure crowd safety, which may include blocking intersections.”

The APD documents also describe an individual who made a large purchase of hammers, hard hats, and megaphones at Harbor Freight Tools on July 29 in preparation for this event, and the subject “inquired if the hammers were strong enough to break car windows.”

The subject also asked about parking cones without a hole top to smother and contain police tear gas.

The internal documents also alarmingly explain how Antifa is planning to launch sniper attacks on police or anybody else who interferes with their downtown takeover.

“Info has been received that various members may be setting up overwatch/sniper positions in downtown area,” the document states, adding that Antifa is planning to deploy “Five subjects/snipers at each location, with climbing gear (grappling hooks, ropes etc) needed to reach rooftops if necessary.”

Additionally, a memo corroborating this intel was issued by East Austin housing provider Guadalupe Neighborhood Development Corporation on Friday, warning tenants about Antifa being bussed in from other cities and posting snipers on nearby rooftops.

“Austin Police have informed some managers of apartments and condos near I-35 that people are coming to Austin tomorrow may be armed and have plans to get on top of buildings along I-35 frontage road,” the memo says.

“Please be vigilant. Report any suspicious persons in our building to Austin Police. Pay special attention to the top floor and make a point of looking at the roof of our building.”

A former officer APD officer also told Infowars that APD’s explosive ordinance disposal unit (EOD) was recently dispatched and found explosives in a room, and referenced that they had expected an attack on APD HQ with explosives as part of this protest, similar to the one used in Seattle that injured 21 officers last week.

This major escalation by Antifa comes a week after one of their own was shot and killed in downtown Austin last week after reportedly pointing his AK-47 at a driver, who exercised his Second Amendment right of self-defense.

That incident was then used by Austin Mayor Steve Adler to justify ordering APD to stand down while these violent elements consolidate, which has forced APD’s hand to reveal these plans to Infowars before the violent demonstrations begin Saturday night.

Antifa/BLM Shut Down By Austin & State Police, Prevented From Carrying Out Planned Violence

Threats of snipers on roofs and gun trucks by far-left agitators to establish autonomous zone compelled state and local authorities to strongly respond

By Jamie White | INFOWARS.COM Sunday, August 02, 2020

Groups of Antifa and Black Lives Matter agitators were shut down and arrested by state and local officials on Saturday after threatening to deploy sniper teams and using gun trucks in downtown Austin, Texas, to establish a CHAZ-like autonomous zone in the area.

Over 200 police officers, some in riot gear, or riding horses and bicycles, were deployed in Texas’ capital city in a bid to minimize the far-left rioting and vandalism that was planned as part of an anti-police march.

Footage from the ground, including exclusive Infowars coverage, shows the overwhelming response by the police, who split the protesting Antifa/BLM group and established control over the downtown streets.

The effective response by law enforcement, which included over 500 Department of Texas Safety support officers in addition to the hundreds of Austin police, left the far-left groups splintered and demoralized.

The confrontations died down by 1:30AM once police had completely secured the area.

As Infowars first reported, the massive police presence was prompted by internal intelligence memos outlining Antifa’s plans to deploy sniper teams on rooftops, their use of gun trucks to patrol the streets, and explosives to use against the Austin Police Department building.

Austin police and statr troopers have made many arrests.

Quote
Rumors and intel flew around for days leading up to Saturday, August 1. Dozens of activists were being bussed into Austin, Texas from Portland and Seattle to do to this city what they have done to both of those. Rumors suggested they wanted to destroy Austin police headquarters, the Texas state capitol, or both.

Downtown apartment residents received flyers warning them that the outsiders might attempt to gain entry to their buildings to get to the roof.

It should go without saying this activity would put numerous innocent people in harm’s way and constitute egregious violations of private property rights. Antifa and BLM activists have repeatedly demonstrated their disdain for the latter by destroying, defacing, and looting private property. Protesters surrounding cars, assaulting and shooting drivers and other innocents have repeatedly demonstrated their disdain for the former as well.

Protesters also targeted Austin city council member Kathy Tovo with a march on her home because she is the lone member of the council who has not committed to their demand to gut the Austin police budget. Tovo intends to gut it, but not by as much as the protesters demand.

The flyer above and other information suggested the groups intended to attack Austin police headquarters. The headquarters building has been the site of protests and often violent riots over the past two months. The activists have attempted to storm the building in the past but failed.

Saturday’s protest activity was billed as the biggest yet, at least in part due to the shooting of Garrett Foster. Foster was the man who apparently pointed his AK-47 rifle at the car window of driver Daniel Perry while protesters surrounded and pounded on his car during an unpermitted protest and illegal taking of the public street just before 10 PM on July 25. Perry, an Army sergeant and licensed handgun carrier, fired his weapon after Foster had used his rifle to order Perry to roll his car window down. Pointing a gun at someone can, obviously, be read as hostile action. Texas castle law covers drivers in vehicles defending themselves, including the use of deadly force.

Law enforcement were deployed and ready downtown. According to a source familiar with Saturday’s events, no officers were injured. Little force was used in shutting down the protest — which illegally blocked streets and was intended to bring violence to Austin. No property was damaged despite the protesters’ plan. They did take roads illegally, briefly including Interstate 35, the main highway that runs through downtown Austin. Protesters harassed innocent diners and others downtown....

Onward and upward,
airforce
