But you can be excused for thinking California resembles a poor third world country. At least the concertina wire isn't really razor wire, it;s called "tangled tape coiled fencing." ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/WpdB7C7.jpg) As a recent wave of mob-led store robberies has put retailers, mall operators and communities on edge, one popular shopping center is keeping an unusual security measure in place through the holiday season.
The Grove, a famous open-air shopping complex in Los Angeles, has added a high coil fence barrier that resembles barbed wire at the property's entrances and exits.
Management added the "tangled tape" coil fencing, which is made from a custom aluminum-and-steel mesh, ahead of Thanksgiving weekend. The fencing is installed nightly after the mall closes and removed before it reopens, and it's just one of the security measures the complex put in place after a rash of November smash-and-grab robberies at high-end stores in San Francisco and other cities.
The shopping center has also heightened its security presence with additional personnel including off-duty police officers — but the fencing is a more novel addition to the options operators can choose from to protect their stores, experts say.
"The coil wire is a reasonably new technology in retail crime prevention," said Mike Lamb, an expert in retail security and former vice president of asset protection and safety at Walmart (WMT), Home Depot and Kroger. "It looks like it's designed to not cause injury, but [it] can tangle a person in it and slow down someone who is trying to get away quickly."
The wire fencing in place didn't fully deter a robbery at The Grove on November 22, when a group of 18 to 20 looters used sledgehammers and an electric bicycle to smash into the complex's Nordstrom (JWN) store after hours. They managed to steal at least $5,000 of merchandise and cause $15,000 in damage, though police later recovered merchandise and arrested three people in connection with the burglary.... The more that government fails to protect the people’s interests, the more the people act to protect their interests directly. The more the people invest time and resources into direct security, the nearer we become to societal collapse and therefore anarchy.
I would prefer anarchy over the present order anyway. Though, I’m skeptical that our betters would mismanage things so badly as to produce such a circumstance. I expect our dear leaders may however bring us to the brink of breakdown, just to pull society back at the last moment, as recently seen with the 2020 C19/Riots/Election operation resulting in a cultural revolution and leftwing coup. That was a high-risk campaign which could have lead to civil war and collapse of the present order. Now emboldened, it’s far from inconceivable that the traitor may roll such dice again, and next time fail.

I agree. What we are witnessing is NOT b accident or through gross incompetence, a highly orchestrated successful campaign designed to break down law/order/institutions/civil society to the point of collapse. When that happens… the people will not only accept the left’s solutions to these problems, they will demand these solutions.
Well… some will. These sheep are being conditioned to see people like us (who don’t blindly follow what we are told is in our best interests) threats to society that don’t deserve to participate in society or have run guts in those rights can be said to threaten society.

The chaos we see now is a direct result of government actions. Onward and upward, airforce I would argue that chaos is an incremental step between order and anarchy. You have order when the state effectively and consistently enforces its laws. You have chaos when the state fails to effectively and consistently enforce its laws. You have anarchy when the state fails to enforce its laws to any meaningful degree. Certain regions of America are and have been in a chaotic state. The fact of the chaos is obvious for any to see, but normalcy bias, propaganda and censorship has blinded most to the full implications of the situation. It’s a simple matter to maintain order when enforcement of the law is both effective and consistent, but it’s very difficult to regain that previous stability once a population has experienced a feckless state, therefore recognizing the illusion of authority. The longer these regions allow chaos, and the more severe that chaos becomes, the nearer we come to the opening of Pandora’s Box. Should the people ever perceive the threat of government goons to be lesser than that of street thugs, the government will cease to be relevant, and we will have anarchy, until new strongmen establish order under their own flags.
