This is a low tech way to dry your meats and veggies, fruits..

1. Take 1 8' 4x4 cut into 3" Blocks, take 3 8' 2x4's and cut into 2' pieces

2. nail the 2x4's into 2' squares and staple nylon screen to them, stretch it tight.

3. build an extra square and attach plexiglass to the top.

4. stack the unit into one stack with four block between each level, cover entire unit except for the plexi top with cheese cloth to keep out pests.

5. buy two thermometers and place one on top self and one on bottom self these are you high low temps. you want to maintain between 95 and 130 degrees. from top to bottom.

6.You will need to rotate the self every few hours until food is dried.

7. if you ever have owned a jerky dryer this works the same way and you can add an out side source of heat like a lamp underneath.

8. If you still not sure PM me and I will send you a detailed plan.

I also have a solar unit you can make that is a little more work to construct.
