waste oil - 12/27/2008 06:19 PM

been looking at building a waste oil heater for my garage out of a 55gal drum and a stove kit from Northern Tool that turns a drum into a stove. It comes with an iron door and stand.

Does anyone know of any good plans on building a waste oil heater?

I was going to just go with a copper plumbing setup with a drip onto a flat pan in the barrel.

thats a pretty good site. But I will cry if I have to drill a hole in a cast iron skillet. smile Pretty easy to follow plans. I think I will take a shot at it.

I have been hording my waste oil for the last two years and been taking it off my friends hands as well. My goal is to get 200 Gal saved up by summer. I was shocked to find how easy it is to collect this stuff. I even go to the dump and take it from people who are dropping it off to be recycled.

I got an old heating oil drum from a guy in the paper for 20 bucks.
