LOL. Thats why aluminum prices are getting so high. What I used to wrap my baked potato with is now it appears fashionable head wear.

What's wrong with monster cables? They have a lifetime warranty.

edit: at least for guitar cables they do wink

Re: fashionable headgear - Remember it has to be grounded. You can run the wire down your back and out your pantleg.

I will second the positive assessment for Monster Cables. They have gold plated contacts...

I have no idea. I just use them for guitar because EVERY other instrument cable breaks. When the monster breaks I just take it back to the store for a new one. I like that.

Lots of cables have gold contacts, or lifetime warranties. The bullshit that Monster puts out about the technical superiority of their cables is just that: BS. It makes no difference in any real-world application and even if it did, what they charge for their cables is something like 5000x any reasonable cost for the materials and labor and marketing costs.

But, you can go to BestBuy and help the salesman out by listening to the sales pitch and buying them. And don't forget to burn a couple more Franklins when you buy the extended warranty.

Instrument cables always get a short in the wire for me. Monster sells them at the same price, so I get them because of the warranty.
