FBI Searching for Discharged Army Recruit

"Booker," also known as Muhammad Abdullah Hassan, was scheduled to begin Army basic training on April 7. Instead, he was discharged, after authorities learned he had told his friends he was planning a Fort Hood-inspired jihad against soldiers. Now the FBI and law enforcement can\'t seem to find him.

Officials seem to think there may be others besides "Booker" involved in this jihad.

Go figure. I lost some good friends and peers at the last fort hood fiasco. Not being able to find the guy means in todays parlance; means

1. he does not have a cell phone.
2. he does not have a car
3. no credit cards
4. staying at a friends house
5. no one talks in that community. And if they do they tell you want you want to hear and not the truth.

In other words he's going to be hard to find.

FORT HOOD, Texas - Shots were fired Wednesday afternoon at Fort Hood, killing at least one person and wounding several others, CBS affiliate KWTX reported.

Warning sirens went off. A spokesman for the base said there was an active shooter situation and all personnel were asked to shelter in place. He could provide no further details.

KWTX said one death had been confirmed and that at least eight other people were injured.

A man who said he was a witness told KWTX that about 20 shots were fired at a post motor pool. The man said he saw a soldier jumping over a fence and running away, but it was not clear whether that solider may have been the shooter.

The post was on lockdown and a spokesman called the situation "serious."

First responders from surrounding communities were headed to the post.

They think the suspect is in the Medical Brigade Building.

The FBI is saying there was never a "manhunt" for "Booker." It doesn't look like he was involved.
