Predictions For 2015

How is your ESP? What do you think will happen in the coming year? From the entirely expected to the rather unlikely, what will be making the headlines next year? Here are my five:

1. Danica Patrick will win the Daytona 500.

2. An alien from the Perseids star system will land his flying saucer on the White House lawn and announce he is looking for a job. Officials from ICE take him into custody, but can't figure out how to deport him.

3. New York mayor Bill de Blasio will resign.

4. After receiving $1.2 billion in subsidies and tax incentives, the Dallas Cowboys announce they will become the Los Angeles Cowboys beginning in 2016.

5. Jeb Bush and Joe Biden win the New Hampshire primary. Global warming and drugs are both blamed.

Those are my predictions. What are yours?

1. Russia makes another geopolitical move on par with s Ossetia or Ukraine

2. The US economy slides 1% in q1 2015, blamed again on weather

3. Uk, ecb, bank of japan all lower interest rates or keep them very low.

4. Another bundy-esque showdown

5. Dow industrial reaches 19k, unemployment lowers, yet labor force participation remains at historic lows

6. UN announces new global carbon tax

Radley Balko has his own list of horrific predictions for 2015. The catch, of course, is that all of these terrible things already happened in 2014.

1. Obama will accelerate his blatant shredding of the constitution
2. Federal debt will continue grow
3. GOP will continue to turn a blind eye (mostly shallow rhetoric with no action) on problems #1& 2
4. Conservatives in congress will be attacked on three fronts

5. Oil prices will rebound to be higher than where they started this fall
6. Some shooting will be used as grounds for more gun control
