Of All the Things for the Media to get Excited About - 05/30/2018 01:21 PM

...Roseanne Barr's racist tweet is pretty bizarre.

I've never been a fan of Barr. She's a nutso leftist who likes Trump, for some reason. I never watched her show, I was offended by a standup routine I once saw, and I frankly don't care that ABC cancelled her show. In fact, if I were the head honcho at ABC, I would never have picked up her show in the first place.

But the truth is, if she had tweeted about Sarah Palin or Sarah Sanders, no one would have been too excited about it.

Today's snowflakes are just getting a little too touchy these days, and the hypocrisy is astounding.

I'm not a fan of her either. But, when you make a comment about one of obummer's pet monkeys there will be hell to pay from the leftists.

She sure became a "nonperson" in a hurry, didn't she? Her show was cancelled, her talent agency dropped her, and even TVLand (a cable channel) is going to stop showing her old series.

Did Soros Pressure ABC to Fire Roseanne?
Soros has ties to ABC

Ben Warren | Infowars.com - May 30, 2018

It’s quite likely that Roseanne’s anti-Soros tweets were a contributing, underreported factor of her show’s cancellation given George Soros’ ties to ABC.

One of her tweets in particular pointed out that the socialist billionaire confiscated Jewish property during WWII, which he himself admitted to doing during a 1998 60 Minutes interview.

“By the way, George Soros a nazi who turned in his fellow Jews 2 be murdered in German concentration camps & stole their wealth-were you aware of that?” she tweeted on Tuesday.

Soros is connected to media outlets around the world, including ABC and other major networks in America.

“[Soros] has ties to more than 30 mainstream news outlets – including The New York Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press, NBC and ABC,” reports Media Research Center.

Research shows at least three direct ABC ties to Soros.

Christiane Amanpour is the Global Affairs Anchor of ABC News and is reportedly a member of the board of directors of The Center for Public integrity – a Soros-funded organization.

Ben Sherwood is the current president of Disney-ABC Television Group and in 2014 Breitbart reported Sherwood sat on the advisory board of the George Soros-backed Center for Public Integrity.

Kerry Smith is the Senior Vice President of ABC News and a member of the Advisory Board of ProPublica, according to her Linkedin profile.

ProPublica is a nonprofit journalism organization that in 2011 Fox News reported “received a two-year contribution of $125,000 each year from the Open Society Foundations.”

ABC was quick to ax the sitcom despite it being a commercial success after its premiere episode attracted 17.7 million people.

The speed of the cancellation had fans and Twitter users alike commenting on ABC’s seemingly inconsistent standards.

Kimmel mocked Melania’s accent.

Joy Behar called Pence mentally ill for having faith in God.

Bill Maher makes countless racist comments.

Keith Olbermann calls Trump “a F*cking NAZI!”

ABC: *crickets*

Roseanne: “Ape.”

ABC: “YOU’RE FIRED YOU HATEFUL, RACIST, TRUMP SUPPORTER!”

Jimmy Kimmel puts on blackface and fake black accent the mock black people & ABC gives him a show but cancels Roseanne over a tweet? Conservative Americans of all races are now treated like 2nd class citizens in our own country pic.twitter.com/0HJHOmN9ND

Brzezinski: Trump Is a ‘Stone Cold Racist’
There is “a renewed license (to be racist) that is inspired by this president”

Steve Watson | Infowars.com - May 31, 2018

During a discussion regarding Roseanne Barr’s tweets, MSNBC Morning Joe Co-host Mika Brzezinski declared Wednesday that President Trump is a “stone cold racist.”

Brzezinski threw her hat in the ring along with the other ‘journalists’ who pounced on the Roseanne incident as a way of once again labeling the President as a racist.

“You can see the way people act, and maybe they feel a license to act that way because this president – I will quote Steve Schmidt – ‘is a stone cold racist.’ I’m sorry; I quoted someone else, but I agree with it, and I’ll stand right by it,” Brzezinski said.

She also repeated that there is “a renewed license (to be racist) that is inspired by this president.”

MSNBC political analyst Steve Schmidt made the comment earlier in the broadcast, but that’s hardly surprising given that he 1. works for MSNBC and 2. is a John McCain loyalist.

Joe Scarborough expanded on the comments, saying that the ‘epidemic’ of racism in America started before Trump was in office, and that basically all critics of Barack Obama are racist.

“The racism that Barack Obama and Michelle Obama and Valerie Jarrett and everybody in that White House endured online, on Twitter, on Facebook, and on Capitol Hill – It started there,” Scarborough said.

“I don’t think you can say it started with Donald Trump, because Valerie Jarrett and Michelle Obama and Barack Obama were being dehumanized on social media every day.” he added.

The insinuation is that these ‘racists’ all became Trump supporters, which is essentially what CNN talking heads concluded in a discussion on the Roseanne case.

“He’s made it more popular, I think, to be openly racist.” said ‘cultural critic’ Michaela Angela Davis.

Davis, a prominent Black Lives Matter sympathizer, then admitted that she believes ‘all of the people that voted for Donald Trump are racist’; tens of millions of Americans.

“They may not all be violently racist; they may not be– [Trump’s] targeted; he’s very clear and strategic. Anti-blackness is a strategy that has been the foundation of the American project,” she added.

When Co-host Alisyn Camerota suggested that Davis may be using too broad a brush, Davis responded “Racism isn’t broad. What you’re not hearing is there’s so many different levels of racism and how it works itself out.”

Trump wasn't elected because of racism. Trump was elected because of people like Mika Brzezinski and Michaela Davis. And if the Democrats don't figure that out soon, they're going to lose the mid-term elections as well.

Absolutely no one is coming to Roseanne's defense, but she still hasn't given up.

God help me, I'm starting to like her.

The left has abandoned the working class. Jordan Peterson is right, marxists don't love the poor - they hate the rich. That is very different.

Trump excited the working class, especially the working class whites, because although he was born with a silver spoon and has been listed on forbes, he says the things they think but "can't say".

The left cuts down every individual into a group of categories. There are two larger categories that govern these smaller categories: "Oppressor and oppressed". The smaller categories are: gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality, gender identification, class, and religion. But fundamentally, people are not reduced to their membership in these categories. A black man does not equal another black man. A woman does not equal another woman. And so on. There are differences within classes that are greater in magnitude than the differences between classes. This should be proof enough that identity politics, while rhetorically useful, are false prima facie.

On Roseanne. She's nuts, whether you like her or not. She has multiple personalities, she is impulsive as hell, she's off her rocker. Forget all that. Why was her show cancelled? Not because of what she tweeted. Her show was cancelled because its ratings tanked after a few episodes and nobody is watching. This was a convenient excuse.

I think you may be right. Ms. Barr is such a nutcase I was surprised when ABC brought back her show. This is as good a reason as any to correct their mistake.

According to ABC her new show had excellent ratings and they had just announced that it would continue for a second season.

Personally, I didn't think it was that funny; but I don't find any of the new shows entertaining in any way.

The first couple shows had high ratings, then it dropped off. Still profitable, but the cast had high salaries, and they probably didn't like the trend that it was going in.

I don't find network shows all that interesting either. I suppose that's why the networks all like those (un)reality shows so much.

Damn near every archetype has been played out before on other shows. Nothing is new anymore.

Now Trump is going after TBS and some comedienne named Samantha Bee (I never heard of her until this morning).

Granted, she used language I don't allow in my home. But then, sadly, so do most comedians these days. Should she be fired? That's up to TBS, not the president. Since I don't remember the last time I watched anything on TBS, I really don't care.

She is as ANTI Trump as Hannity is PRO Trump.

I refuse to watch her so called program. The weather channel is on if I feel that her program is the only thing else to watch.
