That's why they are more heavily armed. Civilians do not have gunships, tanks, etc. I am not saying to just lay down and play dead, I am saying we need to take these facts into consideration. It won't be easy and it will be messy, but it can happen if we all persevere and not loose sight.

I thought as I was reading the 'blovel' Wow, that stuff could actually happen here. There has to be contingency plans already in the works for complete collapse. In the story, people were getting packets in the mail with hundreds of pages worth of .gov crap and ID cards, etc within a couple of days of the collapse. These went out to everyone I presume. Imagine the time and cost of printing alone for all of that. No wonder the economy went under.
Then there is the "Home Guard" that obama actually wants to start up.
All in all it was a well researched short story of things that might be coming down the pike.
