Leonidas
Just so you know. This book in question is based on actual historical events. Not once, not twice, but three times this guys stood their ground against Hundreds of thousands. If you don't wanna believe me. Fine. Like is said earlier today. Check it out for yourself. Nuff said. All this infighting and bickering is totally unproductive. Remember this. The military will have other friends to come to their aide. Foreign mercs and UN troops to name a couple. I like the UN part myself. Just love those target indicator helmets
By the way, who is bickering, that little misunderstanding has been corrected and is over.
Now back to the topic of the American Military.
Actually that figure of 134,909 includes the Army National Guard, The Army Reserve and the Marine Reserve.
If I factor in the Navy and the Air Force that number increases according to my calculations to a total of, 179,709.
Now as to Foreign Mercs and UN Troops, the way I look at it is if the Government is stupid enough to bring in Foreign Troops that will be one of the Government's biggest mistakes. I can't really think of anything that will get a larger percentage of the Gun Owning Fence Sitters off their butts and and turn them into active Freedom Fighters then Foreign Troops within the United States actively fighting against the people, unless it is when these Foreign Troops start Raping American Women and little girls and committing other Atrocities against American Citizens.
I know one thing for a fact. I will not like firing on American Soldiers and Marines but I will have ZERO problems firing on any Foreign Troop and I will not in the least way be merciful to them. I will slaughter them like the vermin they are and I will do my best to make them wish they had never set one foot on American Soil or had never been born.
Now as to that book.
You stated that it is based on Actual Historical Events, and three times these guys stood their ground against Hundreds of Thousands.
From what I have read I have not read anything that implies that this is anything other then a work of fiction. Now I have not read the entire thing but the first paragraph stated that the story is a
potential fictional time line. And if this has any basis on actual History, when and where like in what Country did this occur.
I think if this happened in the United States I would be aware of hundreds of thousands of people fighting not once not twice but three times.
So as far as I am concerned, unless I see some evidence of it being based on History, I will consider this pure fiction and even if it has some basis on something that did happen in some Foreign Country it has no bearing on what will happen in the future of the United States.
The only Rebellions or Insurrections I am aware of was the Whiskey Rebellion and Shays Rebellion which although it was a large rebellion neither Shays Rebellion nor the Whisky Rebellion, had any relation to the content of this current work by John Galt.
