Toughen up. Wyoming is mountainous, windy and hella cold in the winter. Very sparsely populated and if you're out in the middle of nowhere, you're on your own. The small towns are typically isolated so they're easily cut off from any potential aid.
I'd invest in an alternate fuel vehicle, though we all should be doing that.
Strategically Wyoming needs a larger population with the supporting industry and infrastructure, and even then will need out of state allies. That being said, the state could become America's Switzerland.
