Lets do some hard reading here.
He supposedly left his home last weekend after killing his wife and daughter.
Time slip to they found him this weekend.
Per the Chief "He was dead with a gun nearby and a massive amount of blood"?????
The floor was "DIRT" dug out of the mountain soil. Would not the blood be soaked in? If not all them after say 2 to 3 days a majority? The bodies I saw in Nam in tunnels was just damp stains after a day of bombing. If soil will accept dug walls and shelves it may be a bit harder but to leave behind a "Massive Amount" of blood would mean:
1. He was killed by the explosion.
(county owes his kin big bucks.
2. He was killed by the first gun down the hole.
(county will need to conduct a wrongful death settlement with any heirs)
The latter goes more with the gun not being in his hands or at his feet.
Like the man says we will never know but we should decide for ourselves and plan accordingly.
Lastly someone should do some intel recon. What actually killed his family???
