What would be the best inexpensive way to build an off the grid electrical system for a small home.

Im planning on:
6 250Watt Solar panels + charge controller.
20 100 AH batteries.
1 7000 Watt Diesel Generator that will be ran atleast 2 times a week for 5 to 7 hours

any suggestions and advice?
