Now wait one moment! I drive a Kia, I need them parts.

The only reason that going to war in a "foreign" war would be to prevent it making its way to our shores. At this time, Korea may (does) have missiles that can reach the US, and Im sure that the Red Armies will probably loan them more if they needed. Those pose minimal threat to the vast majority of the nation... Pretty much only the west coast of Alaska, currently (as of the last time I discussed missle capabilities with persons I cannot name at this time, sufice to say that they know what they are talking about.) I doubt that the brown water navy they possess would be much of an issue for our navy either. BUT, if America goes to war with Korea, what will the Chinese do? Will they stay out of it because they make money off us, will they "reign in the debit" and sink are little butts to third world gov't status, will they support their ally financially/materially?

What will Russia do? They bear no love of the Eagle.

Now, you pose another question that bears great weight. If all our boys and girls are sent to serve in foriegn lands, what does that mean we have to keep those foriegn lands buddies from coming to lands foriegn to them? Granted I agree, our primary purpose is the continuance of the American way of life as it was established by the Founding Fathers. To protect the nations (united States of America) and the ideals laid down in the Constitution from all enemies, foriegn and domestic. Or duty is here at home. This means, however, we watch both to the interior and the exterior of the borders to see where a threat comes from, that threat's abilities, then make sure that they are held farther away than those capabilities can reach. Its just a might harder to do that with internal parties than with external ones.
