IMO
We should pull out our troops and let them decide for themselves. Since the UN pulled out at the end of the "OVERT" hostilities in early 60's the US Soldier has stood like a tree between these two guys. The N.Koreans are bullies. They flounce, rush up to the DMZ and fire missiles to no where. They understand that if the first round hits in S. Korea that the game will be over.
The only reason for the restraint of the S. Koreans is that they also treat their people like crud. The closest thing to military reasons is that the N. Koreans have railroad guns inside mountains, like the Japanese used in Iwo Jima, that are locked onto historic and public housing sites in Seoul.
With the use of predators and guided munitions only about half would get fired and those only once. Then the people of S. Korea would go north and if not free, at least kill, the N. Korean people. That will be no place for our soldiers in the middle.
Thus my point of pulling back to Pusan, southern tip, of Korea and take on the winner, or interloper.
