Here is something I posted in another forum and I thought I would share it here as well:
Honestly, I wouldn't want to be drafted either. Why? Everyone talks about fighting for their rights, well what about the right not to be forcefully sent of to a war to die (sounds like slavery to me) for political reasons. If someone was actually threatening freedom, then yes, but goddammit when do you actually see that happening? No disrespect to anyone in former wars, but it seems like WWII was the last war that was fought for a legit reason.
So then comes the false flags. Just like 9/11, we go to "defend our country" or in other words, get revenge and satisfy some political needs of our officials. Is killing "terrorists" and trying to rebuild Iraqistans government really for our freedom? I don't think so, and as noble as killing terrorists is - they have no command structure and you can NEVER eliminate them. The war on terror is a joke, and the only way to prevent terrorist attacks is to somehow find out they are going to happen. Unless you want to kill every muslim in the world (Nazi USA?), you don't have a chance at ending terrorism based on the religion, and even then its not just your typical "arab looking people" doing it these days.
If we just happen to get nuked, there should be no damn reason for a draft either...level the entire country that did it.
Unless some country is hell-bent on taking over the world, or directly doing something to the US there is no reason for a draft.
I hope you understand that this isn't being unwilling to serve your country, but its being unwilling to serve a bunch of people who have no legit reason to be in a war anyway. If some war like this were to happen, I see no cowardice in not going and even fighting for your right not to go.
p.s. I mean this with no disrespect to people who have served. I just feel that the reason alot of the hero's in our military were sent to fight were wrong.
