As I've said before, I really don't have anything against Glenn Beck. He has some pretty good ideas sometimes, which is a rarity for talking heads on TV. And I really don't mind Rupert Murdoch, either. He's made a fortune by pretty much doing his own thing, and the free market part of me just has to respect that.

Both Rupert Murdoch and Glenn Beck depend on one thing: Ratings. If nobody watched their shows or read their publications, they wouldn't be making any money. The fact is, both of these men have made fortunes because they deliver what their audience wants. We can argue and speculate about just what that is, but their ratings speak for themselves.

Instead of criticizing them, maybe we should be figuring out what they're doing right, and try to emulate them.
