This one is a very tough call. Do I think Putin is "the good guy?", nope, he is an opportunist who has found a way to cleverly take the moral high ground on a US Domestic issue, but I will be curious about how this works out.

Those from the former Soviet days know full well how governments implode wen they fail to live up to their constitutional ideals, and that's the opportunity the see in this. I think we will be seeing new players in the game with our situation in general as various powers jockey for position in relation to what they figure will be some pretty big crumbs of the former USA after the breakup.
