The USA has gotten too big to manage properly. Like the old Soviet Union, our time has come to break up into smaller state size pieces. We certainly can't keep strutting around the world like a giant bully, telling other countries how to live and how to govern their own people.
I don't think it will come down to conservative vs. liberal. That's too broad a spectrum. It'll come down to demographics and geography. And like Yugoslavia and the USSR, we'll break up into smaller nation states where larger states could be divided and small states could join together to form new unions.
I don't see it as a second "Civil War" but as a second "Revolution". Civil war suggests just a change in who is in control. Revolution indicates a massive change in the structure of who is governed and by whom.
