Both sides seem to be playing politics with this thing, so let me inject a little reality here. The United States is not going to deport twenty million people, and everyone knows it. the "reforms" President Obama is reportedly getting ready to do, are pretty much the same as the reforms Speaker Boehner wanted to push through back in the spring, and they're pretty much what a Republican Congress would have pushed through next year anyway.
So why all the uproar? Well, it's politics.
The RNC wouldn't let Boehner and the GOP house reform immigration last spring, because the republicans wanted to keep immigration as a campaign issue for this past election.
And the Democrats want Obama to push this through now, to steal the Republican's thunder and hopefully keep the Hispanic vote for 2016.
That's all it is, politics. There really is no real difference between the Republicans and the Democrats on immigration reform. Keep that in mind when you see all those talking heads yelling at each other on TV.
