I missed the meeting where it was discussed and decided that New Jersey was within safe turf for any of the recognized American Redoubts.

New Jersey is just not America.

"Off grid" and living in filth often go hand in hand, but they don't need to. When we were building up Diaxaris, we went with relatively common military camp facilities program - Sewer, water, electric, trash. By the six month mark, to be in the bathroom you would not even know you were off grid. Toilet flushed, water ran hot-warm-cold from regular Home Depot faucets, lights went on when you flicked a switch.

Forcing kids to live in filth and ignorance in the midst of the richest country on the planet, then maybe we need to know some more details, like exactly how objectionable was the curriculum and what parts the government found objectionable.

Most crazies get the part figured out of "tab A goes into slot B and out come children in just under a year..., but fitness to raise kits, we just don't know and off grid status without us knowing much else, I am going to reserve judgement either way.
