That was one problem with winning in Vietnam but an even bigger problem was the unwillingness of our Government to Fight to Win the same as it was in Korea.

We Lost in Korea and the reason we lost was because President Truman didn't have the balls to do what was needed to Win. If President Truman and America had done what MacArthur had wanted we would have Won and there would be No commie North Korea to deal with

And if we had bombed the hell out of North Vietnam as we did with Japan and with Germany like we should have we would have won or at least only have the VC to fight against instead of the NVA. And if I remember correctly the VC had stopped being an effective fighting force later on in the war, so with no NVA we would have actually won.

Now as to Syria and not being able to tell the Good Guys from the Bad we should say and do as was said and done during the Crusades.

See during the Crusades the Crusaders couldn't tell the Muslims from the Christians so the Crusader leader said Kill Them All, God Will Know His Own.

So if a few or a lot of innocent Muslims that is if there are really any truly innocent Muslims, have to die just so we get all the Bad Muslims then so be it.
