They make laws for the benefit of appealing to the platform of their own constituency then have built in excuses for the lack of enforcement because they don't have the guts to lose personnel in the gun grab and the inevitable backlash.
Only Republicans have the balls to oversee real door kicking death squad gun grabbing states of emergency. Then gun owners are caught in shock and awe at the betrayal. Works every time.
