Any number is unacceptable!
They should be withdrawn pronto, but quietly. Leave one for a "scorched earth" surprise when/if the base is over ran.
I've talked with several Korean War vets that were at the Chosen. They both told the story of a mine/cave underground complex that was a supply depot. On their withdrawal in sub zero temps the complex was wired to explode in the middle of the night. With the temperature being what it was, the Reds poured into it for shelter....
The rumble that night was felt a LONG way off. They took a lot of gooks out of the battle.
