The Portland area got a bunch of Iraqi police and their extended families along with translators. I saw one of the older men crying as he watched ISIS do some mass executions on video. Figured it had to be some people he knew since the ISIS people were going through some of those towns wiping out families of anyone who had any dealings with the US government. The last thing I want to see is those people getting a hard time when the only people out of some of those families that made it out are just in Portland running food carts.

I worked with a few off and on over the last few years, usually helping with some people who were setting them up in small business. They run a lot of the Food Karts downtown. Street food vendors. The Syrians tend to get jobs more than the entrepreneurial stuff.

They are also a bit class conscious. The mosque complex separates them on their own criteria and the school is big on this women's empowerment program. They have a man nominally in charge but it is a secretive group of women who actually run things.

There is some other stuff going on in the spook world, usually resettlement stuff. From what I can tell it's all run by women. I nickname them "the stern bitches". Give me that look in some of those places when it's time for me to pick my shit up and make myself scarce.

Something Snowden kind of screwed up is this whole thing of exposing the inner workings of some of these op centers where they monitor stuff, and the kind of people in those. It's true, the women use it as a dating checkout service. They fully background a guy before deciding whether or not to let a friend date him. Dudes don't care, good tits, pretty face, nice ass, he'll tap that. The women, all this analytical stuff, which is why they run the analytical departments. So they have this whole massive infrastructure set up of approved singles and semi-closed parties and social events.
