Seattle CHOP Zone Dismantled Day After Occupiers Threatened to Raid Mayor’s Home

But seemingly not in response to weeks of violence.

Police dismantled the infamous Seattle CHOP zone seemingly not in response to weeks of lawlessness and violence but in response to a threat made by occupiers to raid Mayor Jenny Durkan’s 5,000 sqft., $7.6 million house.

Durkan originally ordered the area to be dismantled by police over a week ago, but authorities only moved in this morning.

Video clips show a phalanx of armed riot police moving through the downtown area while a few refusniks berate them. The vast majority of occupiers appear to have left before the police arrived.

Shootings, violent crime and rapes have all been soaring in the area, formerly known as CHAZ, ever since left-wing radicals overran a police precinct and occupied the downtown sector.

Despite the media and some politicians claiming that locals supported the autonomous protest, numerous residents went public with fears for their safety and local businesses repeatedly demanded action.

That action arrived not in response to shooting deaths over two consecutive weekends, including the killing of a 16-year-old teenager, but the very day after radicals threatened to march on and potentially raid Mayor Jenny Durkan’s mansion.

“Let’s see: six shootings, two teenage deaths, and @MayorJenny still says “it’s an arts festival”. THEN, the CHAZ threatens to take over her 5,000 sq ft house worth $7.6 million after her new addition. A DAY LATER, she brings in the police, “end the chaos!” tweeted hedge fund manager James Altucher.

Durkan had previously embarrassed herself by proclaiming CHOP to be a “summer of love,” even as videos out of the zone emerged on a daily basis of fights between protesters and dissidents being beaten up or chased out of the area.

She also told Donald Trump in a tweet “Seattle is fine, don’t be so afraid of democracy.”

The short, contentious and violent history of CHOP illustrates once again how so-called Communist utopias always end in mob rule, lawlessness and ultimate failure.

Father of Black Teen Killed In CHOP Calls For National Guard To Clear Autonomous Zone

"They should deploy them here to say, 'Man, it's time to go'"

By Kelen McBreen | INFOWARS.COM Tuesday, June 30, 2020

The father of a 19-year-old boy who was shot and killed in Seattle’s CHOP last week is speaking out against the lawless “no-cop” zone.

Two other teens have been shot this week and many citizens are saying it’s time to shut down the experimental occupied area.

Horace Lorenzo Anderson spoke with KIRO Seattle in an emotional interview following his son’s death, saying, “I ain’t been sleeping,. You see my eyes. I’ve been crying. I’m trying not to cry on TV.”

“This doesn’t look like a protest to me no more,” he continued. “That just looks like they just took over and said ‘we can take over whenever we want to.’”

Anderson also said the National Guard should be deployed to “break up” the violent “autonomous zone.”

“They should deploy them here to say ‘Man, it’s time to go,’” he stated. “It’s time to move on and break this up. ”

Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best also commented on the shootings, telling KIRO Seattle, “I’m not going to let the detractors and the naysayers and the agitators be the ones that are the voice here. There are people who live here. There are multiple people who are being injured and hurt. And we need to do something about it. It is absolutely irresponsible for this discontent to continue.”

Best continued, “Two African American men dead at a place where they claim to be working for Black Lives Matter. But they’re gone. They’re dead now and we’ve had multiple other incidents… Assaults, rape, robbery and shootings.”

As she was speaking, Best was interrupted by a CHOP resident blasting a megaphone siren.

Responding to the man interrupting her news conference, Best said, “That is so rude. This is what I’m talking about. This kind of behavior is irrational and unacceptable.”

Seattle Police Arrest at Least 10 After Orders to Clear CHOP

Crackdown on Antifa-BLM 'autonomous zone' begins

By Sputnik Wednesday, July 01, 2020

Law enforcement officers in the city of Seattle began entering the protest zone on Wednesday morning to enforce an order from the mayor’s office that the area be vacated, the Seattle Police Department said via Twitter.

“Police on scene continue to issue dispersal orders. Officers have made approximately 10 arrests at this time. Anyone seeking to exit the area can still do so to the south, toward Pike Street,” police said via Twitter before later adding: “Three additional arrests at 12/Pike.”

The police also announced that an armed group was approaching law enforcement officers. They also warned that anyone who remains in the area is subject to arrest.

Commenting on the current situation, the Seattle police chief stated that the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) has become “lawless and brutal,” citing four shootings and other violent acts in the area.

The self-proclaimed autonomous zone was established at the start of June by demonstrators protesting against the police brutality in the wake of George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis police custody on 25 May.

On 8 June, Seattle police withdrew from the Capitol Hill district, while leaving the Department’s East Precinct building behind, as an act of “trust and de-escalation” after days of clashes with demonstrators.
