“Our” system is increasingly similar to “their” system. If suddenly “the role of of the (US) government is to protect the freedom of the individual,” that America would be “diametrically opposed” to the present America. As in Beijing, Washington does virtually nothing to safeguard Liberty and virtually everything to irradiate it. So, Soros is speaking propaganda. What then is the actual cause of dispute between Beijing and Washington? Two “diametrically opposed” oligarchies? Is it simply that “the world isn’t big enough for two world orders?”
