Ezekiel Bread Mix;
is a blend of 4 grains and 4 beans. Biblical Formula. Food scientists have tested Ezekiel Bread Mix and found it to be surprisingly complete in nutrients containing all 8 essential amino acids lacking only the vitamin provided by sunlight to provide for man’s survival. (See, Ezekiel 4:9). (Sunlight converts cholesterol in the skin into Vitamin D, which is then absorbed into the bloodstream.) A similar diet sustained the prophet Ezekiel for 390 days.

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot". Mark Twain - 1904

Yeah we make that from time to time. Kind of labor intensive, but worth it. Gives the grain mill a good workout.

We premix the grains and store them ready to mill into flour.

I bet it would make a good thing to take on patrol, or when hunting, as a healthy alternative to commercially made granola bars.

Only problem is you would have to protect it from getting mushed into bits. Also, in my southern AO it will mold very quickly. Would have to eat it first.

Making me hungry...

Bible says it is defiled. I guess because of baking it using human dung. Do you have to make it that way? (joke)
So, do you have a recipe for us?

Ezekiel Bread Recipe (makes three loaves)

5-1/4 cups of Ezekiel Flour

or,

Grind in a Grain Mill:

2-1/2 cups of Wheat
1-1/2 cups of Spelt
1/2 cup of Barley
1/4 cup Millet
1/4 cup Lentils
2 Tablespoons Great Northern Beans
2 Tablespoons Kidney Beans
2 Tablespoons Pinto Beans

Measure into large bowl:

4 cups of warm water, (note if you have chlorine in your water it may kill the yeast and bread may not rise)
1 cup honey
1/2 cup of oil
2 Tablespoons of yeast

Mix and set aside for 5 minutes until frothy

Add 2 teaspoons of salt and all the flour

Mix with spoon until stretchy and elastic, about 7 minutes

Since this is a batter-type bread, you must use bread pans. Pour into 3 greased bread pans in even amounts.

Set oven to the lowest temperature and let rise 15-20 minutes. Level should be within 1/2 inch of the top of the bread pan. Do not let it rise any more or you will have a major gooey mess in your oven. Do not open oven or bread will fall from the cool air.

Turn oven heat up to 350 degrees and cook for 25 to 30 minutes. Enjoy!

While I still can, I exchange cursed FRNs for Ezekiel 4:9 bread.

I especially enjoy the tortillas with avocado, and habanero salsa. Yum!

I would gladly lay aside the use of arms and settle matters by negotiation, but unless the whole will, the matter ends, and I take up my battle rifle, and thank God that He has put it within my grasp.
