Does anyone here know where I can get 60mm to 40mm gas mask filter adapters? I picked up a half dozen new gas masks with filters that are 60mm. Spare filters for the 60mm are only $5 each, but having adapters would give me the ability to use 40mm filters as well.

http://www.mainemilitary.com has them for a dollar or two a piece. IIRC, they are sold as "Canadian gas mask filter adapters".

Very hard to get a current, in date 60mm NBC filter - alot easier to get the NBC 40mms. The 60s should still be good for tear gas, body disposal details/smells, etc. I`d encourage everyone who has a 60mm filter mask, to get the adapters and set back some current, US, NBC-rated 40mm filters for the chemical warfare possibility.
