Just a thought that came to mind when I saw the products. BTW they also had some neat pepper spray gadgets that could be used for security or distractions in the field... not that it has anything to do with anything.

Do you guys think that the hidden in plain sight safes are a good idea in principle, or no?

I wouldn't use them . Especially for anything of value. Way too many drug users buy them to keep their stash in. Which makes it a given that a theif will check for such things.

Ahh, I see. Probably wouldn't work for OPSEC then either.
