went to harbour frieght and bought a briefcase style solar panel ..it will recharge 18 volt and 24 volt power tools..comes with a handful of attachments both male and female ligher plugs and clips for car batteries and a couple sizes of plug ins for those battery powered tools..the size folded is like 2 ft square and in use it unfolds and becomes 2 panels..everything sits inside a plastic case with a handle..cost is about $70 and in a no power situation will come in handy to charge alot of items..

thats the one doghouse.. it will charge your cell phone should you need it and using power tools for your repairs is always better than a hand job*G*

Tsalagi123 you can order it online and have it shipped to you if you want..

So the question is; is the advantage you gain by using a high dollar optics greater than the advantage you gain by having a larger force (by using the money to buy another weapon so you can arm another patriot)?

I could get a good pump action for that amount. But for $350, you aren't getting a good MBR... I would rather have a quality optic, at least I'm not saving for an ACOG hahaha

If you already have a decent weapon, hold up on the eotech.

While you're at Harbor Freight pick up one of these...

45 Watt Solar Panel Kit

Use the sun's power to run TVs, lights, computers and recharge 12VDC batteries!

* Three 15 watt solar panels give you plenty of clean, quiet energy -- no fuel required
* Power center (charge controller) is completely weatherproof and works under all light conditions
* 3, 6, 9, 12 volt DC adapter outlets
* Easy-to-read LED charge indicator
* Includes mounting hardware, 2 5watt lights, 12V socket and battery clamps

Maximum current, 3000 mA. 15 watts max per panel. Peak voltage: 23.57 volts open current. Panel dimensions: 12.40'' x 36.42'' x 0.75''
Weight: 9.7 lbs.

ITEM 90599-1VGA

$199.99

Then go to wally worl and pick up a 115aH deep cycle marine battery and at least a 700 watt inverter.

This setup will give you the capability to run many essentials during any shtf scenario. Plus you can set up a charging station that will keep all the small appliances charged and running.

We have one here where I'm at, maybe you should come visit. They do in fact have the panels in stock.

Problem is that the solar cells will still only put out their rated wattage, and on a good day. You can store more power, but it'll take longer to gather that power, and so it makes less and less sense unless you increase the number of solar panels.

Getting the needed amount of power in the assigned amount of time is still the challenge.
