After the recent shooting in Tuscon..."U.S. Capitol police canvassed members of Congress to come up with a list of people across the country who might be considered potential threats to members of Congress."

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo.

A local blogger who was critical of Rep. Billy Long during last year's congressional campaign has been interviewed by the FBI about his encounters with the congressman.

Clay Bowler, who lives in Christian County, says he was shocked to find an agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation at his doorstep. Accompanying the agent was Greene County Sheriff Jim Arnott.

The agent asked Bowler if he was a threat to Long, a notion Bowler finds laughable.

Ain't this a peach,Trying to hold your elected officials feet to the fire and do what they promised is going to get you a visit from the FBI, at best. The gates of freedom are being recycled into prison bars.

This would be understandable if these people were even perceived to be a physical threat. There is plenty of legal definition to show when a person is a perceived threat. In my state in order to be a threat you must have means, motive, opportunity, and intent to harm a person.

I would bet most of these congressman are just using the FBI to intimidate people who spoke out against them. Which provides the congressman means, motive, opportunity, and intent to harass at the vary least.

The rule of law over the past 3 years has been ignored completely from the city mayors all the way up to the president. I know the constitution has been ignored longer but every law has been ignored. Even laws limiting cities from imposing laws that they have no jurisdiction to impose or have been expressly denied the power by the state legislatures.

Seattle's former Mayor for example decided that Guns would not be allowed on public property after a mentally ill man accidentally shot somebody at a festival. Washington has a no pre-emption law and the mayor has no authority over guns at all. The law still stands 3 years later and the state has said you can't do it and people are prosecuted anyways.

Laws are only in effect on those who wish to follow them or are forced to follow them. Expect to see more of this before it gets better. We appear to be heading back to the days of Woodrow Wilson and his goon squad locking up political opposition in secret jails.

Blogger Has Second Amendment Nullified for Insensitive Giffords Comment

It was admittedly insensitive, even stupid. “1 down and 534 to go” wrote blogger Travis Corcoran after Rep. Giffords was shot in the head earlier this month. “It is absolutely, absolutely unacceptable to shoot indiscriminately. Target only politicians and their staff and leave regular citizens alone.”

In response, Arlington, Massachusetts, police yanked Corcoran’s gun license and confiscated his firearms. “We certainly take this as a credible threat, and credible until we prove otherwise,” Arlington police Captain Robert Bongiorno told CBS News in Boston.

Corcoran’s blog is no longer online. It is unclear if he removed it or his ISP or hosting service did.

Cops raided the Arlington business man’s home and said they found a “large amount” of weapons and ammo. Raw Story reports that 11 guns were seized at the man’s home.

According to the Boston Globe, Corcoran surrendered his weapons and ammunition to police at his home on Evergreen Lane in Arlington last week after his firearms license was suspended.

“Corcoran, who has no criminal history, has not been arrested and does not face any charges. Arlington police saying they are working with the Capitol Police in their investigation, and members of the Massachusetts congressional delegation have been alerted,” WBZ-TV reported earlier this week.

Raw Story describes Corcoran as an “anarcho-capitalist,” a “radical branch of libertarianism.” Economist Murray Rothbard is credited with coining the term. Anarcho-capitalists argue that a collusive partnership between business and government uses coercion to subvert the free market.

Daniel Tencer, writing for the liberal news website, quotes Twitter post where Corcoran cites the Declaration of Independence. “As per the Declaration of [Independence], when a [government] becomes destructive those ends, it may be abolished … and the most moral approach is that which spares the maximum number of lives. Thus, assassination is a legitimate tool.”

Federal law enforcement agencies have been contacted about the comment, the Boston Globe reported.

The alleged shooter in Arizona, Jared Lee Loughner, is said to be mentally ill. He apparently did not target Giffords and federal judge Rolls for political reasons, although much of the corporate media continues to insist he was motivated by “heated” political rhetoric.

This could be you! I'm sure we are all on some list, even though we are the true voice of freedom and peace.
