City of Roswell, GA, bullies Andrew Wordes to death over his backyard chickens

An innocent man who had legally been raising a few dozen chickens and other small birds in the backyard of his suburban Atlanta home is now dead, following a crusade of terror perpetrated against him by the City of Roswell in Georgia. Andrew Wordes, who died during a recent raid on his property in which county marshals tried to illegally evict him, was the obvious victim of a rogue state gone mad — and his blood is now on the hands of the Roswell City Administrator, the Roswell City Council, and the Roswell Police Department, all of which robbed from Wordes his property, his livelihood, and ultimately his life.

See the NaturalNews infographic timeline of events that documents the escalation that ultimately led to Mr. Wordes’ death:

http://www.naturalnews.com

Wordes had long raised his small poultry friends in the backyard of his one-acre property at 335 Alpine Drive in Roswell, Georgia, sharing eggs, chicks, and friendly words of wisdom and encouragement with his neighbors and with local schoolchildren all along the way. Wordes was very active in his local community, having organized a North Georgia Pet Chicken “Meetup” group, and founded a chicken breeding club. His friends and neighbors described him as a generous, kind, and loving man who was always willing to lend a hand, and who would have given you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

But Wordes met his unjust fate on March 26, 2012, after roughly four years of enduring illicit and seemingly-endless abuse, bullying, threats, and unsubstantiated legal action taken against him by Roswell city officials with an apparent axe to grind. And after losing his birds, his freedom, his entire life savings, his property, and his livelihood as a result of the City of Roswell’s sadistic war against him, Wordes ended up losing his life as a result of an explosion that occurred during the final eviction raid carried out by Fulton County marshals.

City of Roswell targets Wordes for standing up for his rights, identifies his property on planning map as future ‘green space’

The saga allegedly began in 2008 when a disgruntled neighbor of Wordes reportedly complained to the city about Wordes raising chickens, button quail, and other small creatures in his backyard. The City of Roswell responded by issuing Wordes a citation for his chickens, even though the city’s Code of Ordinances specifically provisioned at the time that property owners on less than two acres of land could legally raise chickens and swine.

With the help of Roswell’s Mayor Jere Wood, a lawyer friend of Wordes who also raises chickens himself, Wordes was able to get the citation issued against him dismissed in court. But the firestorm of childish retaliation and rage that quickly ensued as a result of Wordes standing up for himself and his rights, rather than capitulating to the city’s tyrannical and mindless demands that he get rid of his chickens, will likely go down as one of the most tragically absurd abuses of power in the history of local government.

After it became clear that Wordes was not about to let the City of Roswell trample all over him and his rights, several city officials allegedly kicked their vendetta against him into high gear, not only to forcibly have Wordes’ chickens removed, but also to seize his property right out from under him. After failing twice to get Wordes nabbed for their made-up code violations, the City of Roswell actually rewrote the law to prohibit residents from raising more than six chickens in an effort to seal the deal.

But even this failed, as a judge later ruled that Wordes, who had been in his home for more than a decade raising chickens, would be “grandfathered in” under the old provisions which allowed for residents to raise backyard chickens. So the City of Roswell switched gears again and began to play even dirtier by getting Wordes’ arrested for petty violations, and proceeding to reclassify his property on their long-term planning map as future green space.

You can view the City of Roswell’s2030 Comprehensive Plan, which demarcates Wordes’ property as future “Conservation Area or Greenspace” here:
http://www.roswellgov.com/index.aspx?NID=893

So it appears as though the City of Roswell used the supposed neighbor complaint as an excuse to pursue Wordes’ property for the purpose of eventually turning it into parks and green space. This would explain why the city failed to properly maintain storm water infrastructure near Wordes’ property, which resulted in his property becoming severely flooded at least a dozen times, and eventually uninhabitable.

City of Roswell refuses to submit Wordes’ request for FEMA assistance following severe flooding, issues citation when he attempts to protect his home

Not only did the City of Roswell fail to abide by legal guidelines that required it to maintain storm water infrastructure around Wordes’ property, but the city added insult to injury by refusing to file paperwork to the U.S.Federal Emergency Management Agency(FEMA) following a flood that caused severe damage to Wordes’ home, which is also located on a floodplain. As a result, he had no means by which to fix the damage.

And when Wordes attempted to protect his property from future flood damage by grading his land with a Bobcat, which he borrowed from his friend Mayor Wood, the City of Roswell actually had the audacity to issue Wordes a citation for grading his land without a permit, and for having too many cars on his property at the time.

City of Roswell Code Enforcement Supervisor violates law by contacting Wordes’ mortgage holder, coercing her into selling mortgage note

From this point on, City of Roswell officials began harassing Wordes, and the local police department began to surveil his house on a regular basis, watching closely for anything that might be considered a violation. In the process, he was pulled over and even thrown in jail on numerous occasions.

In violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and several other laws, Roswell Code Enforcement Supervisor Vicki Barclay (http://www.roswellgov.com/index.aspx?NID=94) allegedly called Wordes’ mortgage holder, an 80-year-old woman, and coerced her into selling Wordes’ mortgage note for 40 cents on the dollar to another mortgage holder by threatening to issue liens, citations, and grievances on the property if she failed to comply. Barclay is the same city official who had illegally tried to issue Wordes a citation for his chickens from the very beginning.

Having failed at all other attempts to seize his property, the City of Roswell then filed a zoning violation against Wordes claiming that his property was a “nuisance.” The city also filed a 55-page civil lawsuit against Wordes, which conveniently denied him the right to a city-funded public defender who was supposed to represent him in legal dealings involving the city.

Even with former Georgia Governor Roy Barnes on his side, Wordes was rapidly losing the ability to fend off these ravenous wolves in the City of Roswell government that were hellbent on forcing him off his property for their own devious purposes. And Roswell City Administrator Kay G. Love (http://www.roswellgov.com/Directory.aspx?EID=3), Roswell City councilmember Becky Wynn (http://www.roswellgov.com/directory.aspx?EID=6), Roswell City councilmember Rich Dippolito (http://richforroswell.com/about-rich.php), and Roswell Code Enforcement Supervisor Vicki Barclay (http://www.roswellgov.com/index.aspx?NID=94) all played a key role in making this happen, according to accounts.

Wordes’ home vandalized, chickens poisoned while he attends political rally

The madness did not stop at Wordes’ property, however, as even his animals eventually got caught in the fray of the City of Roswell’s campaign of terror. According to reports, Wordes’ home was vandalized in 2011 while he was attending a local political rally, and when he returned, he found that his animals had also been poisoned. Roughly one-third of his animals, which included turkeys, chicks, and adult chickens, ended up dying as a result of this poisoning.

Wordes filed a police report in response to these crimes, but the Roswell police department never pursued the case, and it was never determined who committed them. Consequently, Wordes lost a significant portion of his income and livelihood as a result of the mysterious deaths, which made his already-burgeoning financial problems even worse.

City of Roswell jails Wordes for 99 days, proceeds to evict him from property using phony foreclosure notice

After attacking him from practically all angles and nabbing him for every single petty violation they could think of, the City of Roswell finally ended up jailing Wordes for a whopping 99 days. And immediately after Wordes was jailed, the City of Roswell issued a public press release letting the public know that Wordes’ house was now “vacant,” a purely vindictive move that had terrifying consequences.

Within just a few hours of the announcement, Wordes’ house was vandalized and looted. Even though the City of Roswell promised to keep an eye on the property after issuing the press release, criminals were somehow able to steal Wordes’ firearms and weapons, ammunition, and other valuables, which put the entire community at risk.

During this time, Wordes was refused the ability to proceed with the bankruptcy filings that would have halted the illegal foreclosure on his property which, conveniently for the City of Roswell, was moving forward during his time in jail. As pointed out by Maggie West Bean writing forExaminer.com, the foreclosure paperwork was not even legal to begin with, as it lacked necessary information proving its validity (http://www.examiner.com).

After finally being released, Wordes was left with an uninhabitable house and property, no more animals, no more money, and a pending eviction notice illegally issued by the ruthless criminals at the City of Roswell. Throughout the process, Wordes was denied all his rights to defend himself, denied his right to defend his property against illegal foreclosure, and denied his right to pursue any sort of justice in the matter.

During a February interview with Rusty Humphries, a radio talk show host on WGST 640 in Atlanta, a desperate Wordes explained his dire situation at that point, and issued one of his final pleas for help. You can listen to that interview at either of the following two links:
http://airbornecombatengineer.typepad.com
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=D0Md7aIudZE

You can also read a post written by Wordes himself back in 2009 here:
http://www.backyardchickens.com

After being denied the ability to fight back against illegal foreclosure, county marshals swoop in on Wordes’ property to evict him, culminating in his death

At the end of his rope and facing insurmountable and unrelenting oppression, Wordes’ final hours were spent in his unlivable home, where Fulton County marshals staged an elaborate demonstration of police state force by illegally raiding Wordes’ property.

According to reports, the standoff concluded when Wordes finally told television reporter Mike Petchenik, who he had called to the scene by phone, to have the marshals leave the property. Moments later, an explosion was heard, and Wordes’ house became engulfed in flames.

When it was safe to go inside, responders found a body inside the home, which was later identified as being that of Wordes. And though the incident appears to have been a desperate suicide, which is how some reports categorized it right off the bat, others are worded as to leave room for the potential possibility of foul play.

City of Roswell must be held responsible for its crimes

While it has not yet been determined whether Wordes’ death was a suicide or a murder, it is clear that the City of Roswell has a whole lot of explaining to do concerning its role in the escalation of this situation over the past four years.

As usual, mainstream media reports about the saga fail to mention how the City of Roswell committed numerous criminal acts in its illegal pursuit of Wordes, or how the city is now officially lying, on record, by claiming that it played no part in working behind the scenes to transfer Wordes’ mortgage and foreclose on his property.

Nevertheless, the truth must come out about this case, and those involved in perpetrating it brought to justice. And this, of course, will start with a full investigation into the dealings of Roswell City Administrator Kay G. Love (http://www.roswellgov.com/Directory.aspx?EID=3), Roswell City councilmember Becky Wynn (http://www.roswellgov.com/directory.aspx?EID=6), Roswell City councilmember Rich Dippolito (http://richforroswell.com/about-rich.php), and Roswell Code Enforcement Supervisor Vicki Barclay (http://www.roswellgov.com/index.aspx?NID=94), as well as Roswell city attorneys and the Roswell Police Department, in the case.

It is unfortunate thatNaturalNewsonly just now learned about the Wordes saga after the man’s death, as it may have been possible to help him earlier on by raising awareness about the injustices being perpetrated against him. But at the very least, we can all fight for justice now by banding together to make sure the facts come to light, and the criminals involved punished for their crimes.

The case also serves as a reminder to others who might be enduring similar harassment to speak up now about what they are going through. The reason why news sites likeNaturalNews,InfoWarsand others exist is to draw attention to issues like this, and to bring what goes on in the darkness to light — so if you or somebody you know is facing similar harassment by city officials, tell us about it!

Also, be sure to read the following memoriam written by Glenn Horowitz atAmerican Daily Heraldabout the Wordes case. Horowitz was personally involved in trying to help Wordes in years past, and has put together an excellent summary of the events that took place over the last four years:

Those rotten bastards do not deserve to live on the same planet as decent people do and things like this will keep happening and happening even more often unless these bastards are stopped. And if the government will not do what it should do and take action against these evil bastards then it is the right of the people to take matters into their own hands.

This man had friends including the Mayor and an former Governor and yet the bastards still committed these crimes against him.

A long time ago before there was a United States, good people who had been pushed too far made the decision to take action themselves and the Boston Tea Party and the Burning of the Gaspee were the result and eventually the Battle of Lexington and Concord happened and we all know how that ended.

I believe that most if not all of the members of this Board know about the Killdozer.

Well the only mistake that man made was avoiding killing or harming any one. And that mistake included avoiding killing or harming those who had harmed him.

What needs to happen a lot more often because of this type of shit being done to good people by total reeking walking piles of PIG SHIT, is more KILLDOZERS except without being nice and avoiding the loss of life.

And if a person doesn't have access to a large Dozer there are other methods just as and even more effective at making the bastards pay for the evil that they do.

Mr Words only made one big mistake due to him being a GOOD GUY, he should have let the walking piles of PIG SHIT enter his home before blowing it up.

Movie “Speed”, SWAT Cops enter house, house Blows Up and no more SWAT Cops.

Good Guys finish last in this modern world and every one needs to fully understand this.

Sometimes two WRONGS do make a RIGHT, that is just the way it is.

What this guy needed was friends and allies willing to say "no, not me and not him either". The only thing these fuckers understand is FORCE.

Beyond that, recall election to clean out that town.

State Seizes Property Under ‘Green’ Zoning Laws, Terrorizes Man To Death

Agenda 21′s eco-fascism bares its teeth

Paul Joseph Watson & Alex Jones
Prison Planet.com
Wednesday, April 11, 2012

The shocking story of Andrew Wordes, who had his property seized and was terrorized to death by the city of Roswell, GA, for the crime of keeping chickens on his land, underscores how “green” zoning laws introduced in accordance with the United Nations’ Agenda 21 policy are responsible for a new wave of brutal neo-feudalism now sweeping the United States.

Despite the fact that the city of Roswell allows chickens to be kept on properties less than 2 acres, Wordes was subjected to a sustained campaign of harassment and intimidation by the state which began in December 2008 when the city issued Wordes with a citation for keeping the chickens after a complaint by a neighbor.

After all the charges against Wordes were dropped, city administrators then re-wrote the ordinance to say that only six or less chickens could be kept on a property of less than 2 acres and hit Wordes with another citation.

Wordes won the case for a second time when the judge concluded that he was “granfathered in” under the previous ordinance that allowed for chickens on less than 2 acres.

Despite Wordes constantly winning legal cases, the city would not let up on their campaign of terror, moving to illegally intimidate the mortgage holder on Wordes house, an 80-year-old woman, to sell the mortgage note to the city for 40 cents on the dollar.

Amidst all this constant harassment, Wordes had to cope with his house flooding numerous times and criminals breaking in and vandalizing his property, including one incident where a third of his birds were poisoned to death, an act likely perpetrated by the neighbor who had sided with the city in targeting Wordes.

Now turning to the argument that Wordes’ activities represented a “nuisance,” the city filed a 55 page civil lawsuit, while simultaneously declaring Wordes’ property to be a “Conservation Area or Greenspace,” representing the final move in seizing the property under the auspices of tyrannical environmental mandates that were clearly manufactured by the state as a tool of harassment.

Although Wordes attempted to sell his land to the city, councilors then slapped a phony foreclosure notice on the property. When Wordes missed a probation check and was jailed for 99 days, the city immediately issued a press release announcing that his property was “vacant,” prompting criminals to break in and steal Wordes’ firearms, valuables and other ammunition. City administrators signaled they were unconcerned about the incident and would do nothing about it.

While he was in jail, the unknown mortgage note holder tried to foreclose on the property and Wordes was prevented from mounting any kind of appeal.

On March 26, Fulton County Marshals arrived at Wordes’ home to follow through on the city’s illegal order to evict him. Shortly afterwards there was an explosion and Wordes’ was subsequently found dead. Although initially declared to be a suicide, circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.

What is abundantly clear is the fact that Andrew Wordes was terrorized, harassed and abused to death by a predatory state whose plan all along was to seize the property under the justification of so-called ‘green’ zoning laws.

Check out Natural News’ infographic for a detailed summary of Andrew Wordes’ case.

Americans all over the country are facing similar threats, intimidation and harassment as the state attempts to reintroduce feudal serfdom and arbitrary property seizures all under the justification of environmental zoning laws.

The United Nations’ Agenda 21 project, which cities and states are now adhering to in places like California, where building detached family homes is now virtually illegal, dictates that authorities must adopt “sustainable development” policies at all costs.

Under the new system of eco-fascism that the elite are implementing through the vehicle of global warming hysteria, property rights are non-existent as people are forced into high density prison cities wherein any form of self-sufficiency whatsoever, down to the level of keeping chickens, is crushed under the iron fist of regulation, code enforcement, and authoritarian environmental despotism.

Infowars Reporters Harassed by Cops For Asking Questions About ‘Chicken Man’

McBreen and Morales stopped from entering city hall

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Friday, April 13, 2012

Infowars reporters Darrin McBreen and Marcos Morales were barred from entering city hall in Roswell, Georgia and had their movements tracked by police simply for asking questions about the case of Andrew Wordes, the “chicken man” who was the victim of a sustained campaign of government harassment that led directly to his tragic death.

As we reported earlier this week, Wordes was subjected to an intense multi-year onslaught of intimidation and abuse by city councilors simply for keeping chickens on his land. After Wordes won several court cases allowing him to keep his home, the city bought out the mortgage on the property, declared it to be part of a ‘green’ zone and teamed up with federal Marshals to raid the house, culminating in an explosion which killed Wordes.

Despite McBreen and Morales carrying legitimate press passes, as soon as they pulled up outside city hall and attempted to enter the building, they were intercepted by police who claimed they didn’t “have the proper credentials to enter city hall”. Three police cars then arrived and cops ordered McBreen and Morales to leave, adding that they knew the reporters had visited the “chicken man’s property” earlier.

Shortly afterwards when the reporters traveled to Wordes’ burned-out property for a second time, police were immediately on the scene, suggesting the reporters were being followed.

Contrary to claims by city officials that Wordes’ small chicken farm was a “nuisance” to neighbors, Infowars spoke with residents who expressed their horror and sadness at Wordes’ death, insisting that he was a valued member of the community who would hand out free eggs to both neighbors and the local elementary school and was not a nuisance to anybody.

Indeed, support for Wordes was so widespread that the Mayor attempted to help and the Sheriff’s office refused to participate in the raid that led to his death.

“This was ugly. It shouldn’t have happened and it didn’t have to happen,” said Fulton County Sheriff Ted Jackson.

“We were aware of threats from Andrew to defend his property. A dispossessory over a derelict house is not worth an armed confrontation,” Mayor Jere Wood said. “The judgment call we made was it was not worth pursuing, but another official made another judgment.”

In addition, local Roswell police also refused to take part in the raid, leaving the job to federal Marshals.

McBreen and Morales will continue to report from Roswell today in an effort to get more answers about the case and to discover whether any of the councilors who harassed Wordes to his death will face legal retribution.

Sheriff: Wordes incident could have been avoided

By Joan Durbin
jdurbin@neighbornewspapers.com

The saga of Roswell’s Chicken Man and his ultimate act of self-destruction might have had a completely different ending if the eviction had been handled differently, according to some law enforcement officials.

“This was ugly. It shouldn’t have happened and it didn’t have to happen,” said Fulton County Sheriff Ted Jackson, whose office refused to participate in the proceedings.

Roswell police also declined to provide support, according to Mayor Jere Wood.

“We were aware of threats from Andrew to defend his property. A dispossessory over a derelict house is not worth an armed confrontation,” Wood said. “The judgment call we made was it was not worth pursuing, but another official made another judgment.”

Fulton County Marshal Antonio Johnson said he had information from the county manager’s office that Andrew Wordes might react badly to being dispossessed. He said he first asked Roswell police, then the sheriff’s office, for backup when the writ was being served.

“I knew it could turn volatile. That’s why I called them,” Johnson said.

People who knew Wordes say the thought of losing his split level house on Alpine Drive was devastating to him.

“It had become a symbol to him. It was his last hold on reality,” said Judie Raiford, who had become a good friend to Wordes in the last two years.

Roswell Police Chief Dwayne Orrick said he and department members had several conversations with the marshal’s office prior to March 26.

“We told him, you’re going to have a problem with Mr. Wordes,” Orrick said. “Mr. Wordes was seeking a physical confrontation with police. I said I was respectful of their job and didn’t question their authority, but it was likely to develop into him defending his home against the government and there was a less aggressive approach to doing it.

“We told them our concerns that this could turn into a Ruby Ridge type situation. They asked us to accompany them and we said no. They said fine, they would call the sheriff and ask for SWAT.”

Jackson said when he got that call, he was not yet aware that Roswell had turned down the marshal’s request. But he said his 35 years of law enforcement experience, including being in charge of the regional FBI office, told him that a direct encounter with Wordes had the potential for disaster.

“I knew how he fought the city about raising chickens and he was very resilient, then how things went south for him and he was broke and would have nowhere to go,” Jackson said.

Having armed officers on his property wasn’t the best way to go about serving the eviction notice, he said.

“You don’t want to jeopardize his safety or the safety of your officers. We didn’t agree with it so we backed out and didn’t participate,” Jackson said.

Orrick said one alternative to an armed confrontation was “they could just back away,” he said. “We offered to set up surveillance for them and they could wait until he left the house.”

Johnson emphatically denies that the sheriff, Orrick, or anyone in either law enforcement agency recommended any other way to handle the eviction.

“We weren’t going to go in there with SWAT and bust down the door. This was a civil matter. The only thing you do in a civil matter is go knock on the door and see what his mindset is,” Johnson said.

The marshal said he called Wordes on March 12 to let him know his office had a dispossessory writ. “We had a good conversation. I asked him if there was any way I could help [him] vacate the premises and said we wanted to do anything we could to help out.”

Johnson said he also told Wordes to have his attorney call “if he needed more time.”

On March 15 and again on March 22, the marshal said he talked to the representative of the bank that was foreclosing on the house, told him he had not yet heard from Wordes’ attorney and asked for patience. The representative “concurred, said he didn’t want any trouble and would support eviction whenever I felt ready,” the marshal said.

On March 23, Johnson said he got a message from Ryan Strickland, Wordes’ attorney, about seeking an injunction against the eviction. Johnson said he called Strickland several times that day and left a message that he wanted “to discuss his client’s situation and get feedback on what I needed to do.”

Three days later, Johnson sent six deputy marshals to Alpine Drive with instructions that two were to go to the door and make contact with Wordes. The other four were to hang back out of sight of the house “in case of emergency.”

The two deputies had contact with Wordes for at least two hours, the marshal said. “He was very responsive to us. He said he didn’t have a beef with us, it was with Roswell police department and Roswell government.

“Around 10:15 my staff called me and told me they’d been talking to Mr. Wordes, who said his attorney was down at the courthouse trying to get an injunction on the writ,” Johnson said.

“I personally called the judge’s chambers and talked to her staff attorney, who told me the injunction was not going to be signed. We needed to carry out the civil order,” he said.

According to Johnson Wordes was on the phone with his attorney at the same time and got the news that the injunction wasn’t forthcoming. At that point, he called a media representative to have him tell the deputies to move away from the door and get off his property.

Minutes later, the house blew up and Wordes died in the resulting blaze.

“Mr. Wordes had been very cordial to us. We had a good rapport, and it’s very unfortunate what happened,” Johnson said.

“I think a life is worth more than two hours. If he had stayed indoors, we would have directed the deputies to retreat and waited until his attorney got an injunction.”

At one time I actually wanted to be a US Marshal. I thought it would be great to be a modern day Marshal Matt Dillon, now I believe that every Federal Law Enforcement Agent is an Enemy of the People and even though right now they are immune from any retribution, that will end, if I am correct and there is a Second American Revolution. And if this new Revolution happens when I believe it will, which will be either later this year or early 2013, these evil Federal Scum do not have much time left on this Earth, and they better start trying to make things right with our Lord or they will end up someplace that is not very nice.

When I think of not being able to do anything to these evil bastards and that includes most of the State and Local piles of pig dung know as cops, I just think about the Great Tribulation and the Mark of the Beast, and that most of these EVIL Badge Wearing BASTARDS will gladly except the Mark of Satan just so they get to keep that Badge and the God Like Powers that go with it.

They will end up being cast into the pit along with the beast whom they unwittingly serve, and that is a far far greater punishment then I or any other human could ever do.

I sleep very good at night knowing that there will be justice without me having to do a darn thing.

By the way I once attempted to save the souls of cops on War Rifles by warning them of the Mark of the beast and what would happen to them if they accepted it and all I got for my trouble was being accused of threatening cops. So I have now washed my hands and if they end up with Satan it will be their own fault.

As to those City Councilors they better start thinking of what their afterlife will be like since they are going to have a lot to answer for and they better pray for forgiveness and hope that Mr. Wordes didn't have any friends who will want retribution after the Revolution begins.

This seems typical of the Modern City, having code enforcers, the spearhead of Treasonous, and corrupt City Officials..Part of a Larger Police State..These Badge Monkeys and City Bureaucrats, will Pay dearly for their Actions. when it"s all over...We see stories just like this all over the Country..Pushback is Coming, and LEO should be aware that they will all be Targets of Retribution and Payback...Ifor one would not want to be in Uniform of the State! Corruption of Andrew Wordes case deepens

City of Roswell bullies original mortgage holder into selling note to phony trust company

New details have emerged in the tragic case of Andrew Wordes, who died recently in his home after enduring more than four years of abuse and bullying from the City of Roswell in Georgia. Thanks to continued investigation of the case by Maggie West Bean ofExaminer.com, it is now coming to light that Roswell officials may have put immense pressure on Mr. Wordes’ original mortgage holder to sell the mortgage note on his home, only to have it end up in the possession of a phony trust company that appears to not even exist.

In case you missed the original story, Andrew Wordes had been quietly and legally raising chickens in the backyard of his home at 335 Alpine Drive in Roswell when the City of Roswell decided to pursue and destroy him. After years of relentless harassment, torment, and threats, Mr. Wordes ended up dying in his home after it exploded on the day when county marshals came to forcibly evict him (http://www.naturalnews.com/035524_Andrew_Wordes_Roswell_chickens.html).

But it turns out that the entire eviction process was fraudulent to begin with, which is what was speculated by many all along. According to information recently uncovered by journalist Maggie West Bean, Dora Hardeman, the friend and landlord of Mr. Wordes who had long held the mortgage to his home, was basically pressured to sell her house to a man named Arnold Wall, who appears to have been used by the City of Roswell to get the note by any means possible.

Exhausted from dealing with the “increasingly unpleasant situation” that was quickly developing between Mr. Wordes and the City of Roswell over the property, Mrs. Hardeman reluctantly agreed to hand over the mortgage note to Mr. Wall, who happened to be the husband of a realtor with whom she was acquainted, in February 2011. In return, Mr. Wall gave her a note for $40,000 that stipulated a payment would only be made after Mr. Wordes “quit the premises,” or after a year had passed, whichever came first.

Phony mortgage transaction a front to steal Mr. Wordes property

But more than a year has now passed, and Mrs. Hardeman has yet to receive a dime from Mr. Wall for the property. And a followup investigation into the bill of sale for the property has revealed that an “Equity Trust Company,” not Mr. Wall, was the actual buyer of the property. And on the note, there are no values given for the actual value of, fair market value of, amount of liens owed on, net taxable value of, or tax due on the property, which points to clear fraud.

Worse, the address listed for “Equity Trust Company” has been exposed as being the address of a UPS Store in Tucker, Georgia. So not only does the new mortgage holder appear to be fake, but it appears as though the City of Roswell may have used Mr. Wall to pretend to purchase Mr. Wordes’ property, only to have it handed over to a fictitious equity company so the City of Roswell could forcibly drive Mr. Wordes out of his house.

City of Roswell led ‘investigation’ into its own criminal activity

From the very beginning, the City of Roswell’s Code Enforcement division violated the law by contacting Mr. Wordes’ original mortgage holder and setting in motion the events that would lead to his eviction. And newly surfaced emails reveal that the “investigation” into the City of Roswell’s criminal activity was being led by the City of Roswell.

An email exchange between Mr. Wordes and City Administrator Kay Love (http://www.roswellgov.com/index.aspx?NID=75) from early December 2010 exposes the City of Roswell’s obvious coverup of the truth in the mortgage scandal, as Ms. Love explains to Mr. Wordes that she will personally be heading up the so-called investigation, and that Mr. Wordes will not be allowed to bring a witness to a meeting where he is to give a statement about the ordeal.
