Below is an excerpt from the 31-May-21 Nova Scotia Canada C-19 briefing. The clip is a conversation between a caller (Jeannette Whitman) and Dr Robert Strang, Chief Medical Officer of Nova Scotia Canada. In this conversation, Dr Strang states that “the other purpose of the injunction” against public gatherings is censorship of information which contradicts the narrative of the state, by reducing public access to said information. In other words, to stop the spread...of information.

Quote
Jeanette Whitman: “Hi there, thanks for taking my question. I’m wondering about the injunction, um, banning public gatherings and whether there really is a need for such a far-reaching one given the stricter one we’re on now?”

Dr Robert Strang: “So I mean I think it’s still there. We still have, uh, the, uh, you know, bringing large, uh, bringing large numbers of people together, uh, can represent some risk. We’ll continue to look at that, uh, but I think the other purpose of the injunction is to, uh, is to, uh, prevent, uh, you know, groups that are spreading, uh, deliberately spreading false information that can, actu- but, but, that can actually create risk, the information itself, if listened to, creates risk to the public as well. So, and that’s, that, that certainly is a need to manage that, uh, misinformation campaign as well.”
