Police in Washington, D.C. have successfully thwarted the efforts of Black Lives Matter rioters to desecrate a statue of President Andrew “Old Hickory” Jackson in Lafayette Square Monday.

Throughout the country, statues and historical monuments have been toppled and destroyed by political vandals with no resistance from police. A man in New Mexico shot a vandal who attacked him with a skateboard after police seemed reluctant to defend a local statue of a Spanish conquistador.

In the district of Columbia, vandals seemed to expect a similar lack of response from law enforcement when they converged in a mob on the 168-year-old statue of Jackson in Lafayette Park.

The crowd spray painted “KILLER” on the base of the statue, then attached ropes to and seemed on the verge of toppling it, before police arrived on the scene.

A contingent of riot police repelled the rioters and cleared out the area surrounding the park, weathering verbal taunts and abuse from the crowd.

The ropes fastened around the likeness of the United States’ seventh President, and several rioters were arrested.

Several BLM-affiliated groups also tried to set up an illegal “Black House Autonomous Zone” outside the White House and the area surrounding the Jackson statues. These efforts also appear to have been thwarted by police.

Another famous U.S. President, Teddy “Bull Moose” Roosevelt, has come under fire from BLM, with the American Museum of Natural History caving to pressure to remove a statue of Roosevelt for unspecified accusations of racism.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson weighed in on the efforts to remove the Roosevelt statue on Monday night’s edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” stating, “Teddy Roosevelt was a hero to millions of Americans, he still is. That’s precisely why they’re tearing down his statue. They know that if they can force you to watch as they topple your heroes, they have won. There is nothing they can’t do next.”

Nassau County in New York took a firm stand after the American Museum of Natural History’s announcement Monday, stating that Nassau County’s own statue of Roosevelt “will stay right where it stands.”

In the wake of ongoing attempts by mobs nation-wide to destroy statues they deem to be ‘racist’, President Trump has vowed to issue an executive order that would force cities to protect monuments.

Trump made the comment in an interview Monday, stating “You saw Ulysses S. Grant, where they want to take him down. He’s the one that stopped the ones that everybody dislikes so much. It’s a disgrace.”

“Also, remember, some of this is great artwork. This is magnificent artwork, as good as there is anywhere in the world, as good as you see in France, as good as you see anywhere.” Trump added.

“It’s a disgrace. Most of these people don’t even know what they’re taking down.” the President urged.

When asked “Is there anything you can do?” by the interviewer, Trump replied “We’re going to do an executive order, and we’re going to make the cities guard their monuments. This is a disgrace.”

Trump’s comments dovetail with a warning he issued last night to violent protesters who tried and failed to bring down a statue of Andrew Jackson in Lafayette Square adjacent to the White House.

“Ten years in prison under the Veteran’s Memorial Preservation Act,” Trump wrote, adding “Beware!”

President Trump announced (in a tweet) that he will enforce a federal statute against vandalizing or destroying a monument. it is punishable by up to ten years in prison.

I'm not sure what qualifies as a "monument" under the statute, I'll have to look into it. I think it only applies to monuments on federal land, but I'm not sure.

Not content with pulling down statues of former Presidents, and attempts to erase history, the left now has a new target… Jesus.

Notorious race baiter and BLM agitator Shaun King, demanded Monday that all statues, as well as murals and stained glass windows depicting Jesus as a “white European,” should be destroyed because they “are a form of white supremacy.”

Ironically, King posted the tweet after a conservative joked earlier in the day that statues of Jesus would be the next target of the new puritans:

Richmond Mayor Cites ‘Public Safety,’ Spread of COVID-19 in Ordering Removal of Confederate Statues

Using what he claims are “emergency powers,” Richmond, Virginia’s Democrat Mayor, Levar Stoney, ordered the removal of ALL Confederate monuments positioned on city property today, citing the potential for the spread of COVID-19 among Black Lives Matter and AntiFa-linked rioters who have held the city’s Monument Avenue under a violent siege for 33 days, perhaps becoming the first Democrat politician in America to acknowledge that rioting increases the risk for disease spread.

“Failing to remove the statues now poses a severe, immediate and growing threat to public safety…As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to surge, and protesters attempt to take down Confederate statues themselves, or confront others who are also doing so, the risk grows for serious illness, injury, or death,” Stoney said.

While Northam Administration-backed bills in Virginia’s legislature allowing for the removal of Confederate monuments and memorials took effect today, a simple vote by city council members or an executive decision by a mayor is not enough to remove them – numerous processes and procedures must take place beforehand – but Stoney did it anyways, with the apparent endorsement of Governor Northam, whose very laws the Mayor was violating.

The Government-sanctioned defacing of Monument Avenue, which began this morning with the removal of a monument to General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson, who vehemently opposed Virginia’s secession prior to the outbreak of the Civil War, will take roughly a week to complete according to Mayor Stoney.

Before the removal of Jackson, a total of 12 statues dedicated to Confederate veterans and politicians lined the street, most of which have been vandalized or severely damaged by riotous mobs.

Although Richmond saw its first black mayor in 1977, and hosted the first elected black governor in American history, Mayor Stoney insisted that the statues along Monument Avenue existed to “show black and brown people in this city who was in charge.”

Unfortunately for Stoney and the mob, the massive statue of General Robert E. Lee that has become the focal point of the last 33 days’ unrest is currently protected from removal by a judge’s injunction, and a hearing to decide the statue’s future isn’t expected to take place until at least late July.

The Lee statue’s continued existence begs the question of whether or not Black Lives Matter and Antifa-linked mob members will actually vacate the area upon the removal of other statues, thereby absolving the “threat to public safety” Stoney claims is posed by the statues’ existence.

Mayor Stoney isn’t the first Virginia Democrat to take matters surrounding the statues into his own hands, as State Senator Louise Lucas was on the scene in Portsmouth, roughly an hour and a half south of Richmond, in mid-June, demanding police officers stand down and allow rioters to attempt to remove a Confederate monument located in the city. A piece of that statue later fell on a man’s head, severely injuring him.

A statue of Christopher Columbus that has stood in the Little Italy neighborhood of Baltimore for 36 years was torn down by a mob Saturday and thrown into the nearby harbor.

The Baltimore Sun noted that the Columbus statue has traditionally been used as the site of a wreath-laying ceremony ahead of the Columbus Day parade, an annual event which was last year replaced by a ‘Italian Heritage Festival.’

The newspaper also reported that activists last month had asked Gov. Larry Hogan and Baltimore Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young to preserve and protect the memorials in Baltimore in the wake of threats to pull them down by BLM agitators.

The destruction of the statue comes after President Trump signed an executive order mandating that cities must protect statues, and a speech in which he condemned angry leftist mobs attempting to tear down historical monuments.

Other cities and institutions such as colleges and Universities are actively removing statues, under the threat of mobs taking matters into their own hands.

For example, Campus Reform notes that Hofstra University, the largest private college on Long Island, New York, has “decided to relocate its long-criticized Thomas Jefferson statue to a less prominent location on campus, citing the ‘pain of our black students.’”

The relocation of the statue to a less visible area wasn’t enough for the protesting students, however, who further demanded that the statue of Jefferson simply be removed altogether.

“Relocation is not a viable option because it will just elicit the same response wherever it is placed,” states a petition, which contains a ‘trigger warning’ for “Mentions of Slavery, Rape, and Anti-Black Racism.”

While many are backing Trump’s stance on the monuments, Democrats continue to push for ‘offending’ statues to come down, with some even suggesting monuments of George Washington could be removed.

In an appearance on CNN’s Sunday, Democratic Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth said that “a national dialogue” should be held on whether to trash statues of the founding fathers

“I think we should listen to the argument there,” Duckworth proclaimed, adding that “the president at Mount Rushmore was standing on ground that was stolen from Native Americans who had actually been given that land during a treaty.”

A group of Black Lives Matter protesters in Washington DC marked July 4 by trampling on the American flag before setting it on fire, arguing that the US state symbol represents “slavery, genocide and war.”

Footage showing protesters mocking the US flag began making the rounds online on Saturday evening.

One of the videos, filmed at a square outside the White House that was officially named ‘Black Lives Matter Plaza’ in the wake of the protests, shows a young black woman dancing on the American flag, as another female protester with a megaphone in her hand can be heard shouting: “F**k the Fourth of July. F**k the American flag. That’s what we are saying.”

Another video shows the chanting woman being confronted by a man, wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the name of Jesus.

“What does the American flag represent?” the woman asks, prompting him to respond: “America. Every citizen that lives in America.” The protester with a megaphone then argues that the banner is a symbol of slavery, saying “it was built on the back of slaves.”

The torching stunt had been touted as a “flag burning challenge” and was reportedly organized by the Revolutionary Communist Party, or RevCom.

While the flag went up in flames to cheers from the public, some protesters were apparently not on board with the idea. As the same group attempted to burn a number of hand-sized American flags, they were confronted by fellow activists, arguing that such an action would play right into the hands of the Trump administration.

I noticed that they claim to be “mostly military trained”... then there is a pit of one guy with an AR converted to run .22 LR with a big drum magazine. He has his finger on the trigger in one picture, and in every picture I’ve seen the dust cover is open, and there is a misfeed where the first round out of the magazine failed to load into the chamber, and is lodged in front of the bolt head at a 45* angle! Doh! Top quality rifle training there!

Virginia Democrat Louise Lucas, NAACP Leadership Charged With Felonies For Organizing BLM Attack on Confederate Monument

Lucas played a pivotal role in the monument’s destruction, which led to the devastating injury of Chris Greene

Authorities in Portsmouth, Virginia announced the issuance of felony charges against several individuals, including Democrat State Senator Louise Lucas and multiple members of the NAACP, in connection with a June 10th Black Lives Matter mob attack on a monument dedicated to the city’s Confederate dead.

A “comprehensive investigation” determined that “several individuals conspired and organized to destroy the monument, as well as summonsed hundreds of people to join in the felonious acts which not only resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage to the monument but also permanent injury to and individual,” Portsmouth Police Chief Debby Brewer told reporters as she announced the charges.

Senator Lucas, who was on scene and used what she claimed were the powers of her elected office to order police officers to stand down and allow a Black Lives Matter mob to destroy the monument has been charged with 2 felonies – Conspiracy to Commit a Felony and Felony Injury to a Monument in Excess of $1,000. In addition to Lucas, 7 other individuals are facing identical charges, including Portsmouth NAACP President James Boyd, NAACP members Louie Gibbs and Lakesha Hicks, and School Board member LaKeesha Atkinson.

Authorities also announced that a total of 6 individuals have been charged with a single felony – Injury to a Monument in Excess of $1,000. Among them are 3 public defenders, Brenda Spry, Alexandra Stephens, and Meredith Cramer.

As previously reported by National File, Lucas played a pivotal role in the monument’s destruction, which led to the devastating injury of Chris Greene, who was left in critical condition after a portion of the monument toppled on to his head.

Democrat Virginia State Senator Louise Lucas was caught on camera ordering Portsmouth City police officers to stand down and allow Black Lives Matter demonstrators to deface and partially destroy a Confederate monument standing in the city, an effort that directly led to a portion of the statue toppling onto a man’s head, leaving him in critical condition.

Shielding her face from view in Antifa style garb, Senator Lucas, who was on the scene, instructed the crowd forming around her to “call the press” before insisting that because the statue stands on city property, police officers – who are employed by the city in part to protect city property – are not permitted to intervene.

“This is city property! I’m Louise Lucas! They cannot arrest them because the city owns this property, they been paying for that! Come July 1 they can take it down anyway. These police officers cannot arrest them for standing on city property, so I’m gonna stand right here and see what’s gonna happen.”

“Go ahead wreck it!” Senator Lucas then instructed the crowd.
