They have a 10" opening in the top. In extreme cold, condensation could be a problem. We are looking for a location that we could bury or at least earth berm the back and 2 sides. The open side would need to be painted to blend in to the surrounding vegitation.

If the water table would be high enough, wouldnt it make sense to slit the bottom open, and bend the plastic out? It would let water drain, and allow you to make it a bit deeper or taller depending on how you look at it, Adding a few CUFT could be wonderful. Adding some ceder chips like mentioned above would be a great.
