Active Army - 570K
ARNG - 380K
USMC - 200K
USAR - 206K
So, they would have to mobilize every ground unit in the force structure in order to have 1 mil available for domestic use. As those units are understrength to meet the needs of Iraq / A-stan deployments, thay would also have to call on the IRR and retirees (which thay already do for medical personnel) ....
