After a cold front, record lows throughout the south, and especially in florida, this has affected the plants down there a lot.

Florida has long relied on warm, mild winters to sustain year round growth of citrus fruits and other edible plants. These plants require warm temperatures as well as other necessaties.

These fruits, such as oranges, madarins, clementines, grapefruits, and other fruits, are a big part of the economy, as well as grocery store shelves.

But after the cold front, the plants, at least a large chunk, froze. This will make for a shortage, high prices, and disgrunteld citizens.

After a poor corn harvest, could this make for a food shortage this summer? Could this be a start of a civil war, or a splinter war? Will hungery civilians raid other houses, starting martial law and curfews?
