Here's something ironic, or tragic, or something. Rep. Ron Paul will face a "Tea Party" challenger.

Tea Party associations aside, many of the challengers' criticisms echo concerns of Paul's past opponents: that he is too focused on his national ambitions; that his views are too extreme; that he doesn't support the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; that he votes "no" on everything, including federal aid for his district after Hurricane Ike.
I thought responsible spending and adherence to the Constitution was what the tea parties were all about. It looks like those principles--and the man who did more than anyone else to get the tea party movement started in the first place--are being thrown under the bus.
