Well, it's nice to comment about those things,and I could write a few chapters about what's been happening with Islam--from personal experience. Actually, that's been going on for a long time. But, what will the results of getting upset about bring ? A heart attack ? An aneurism ? A stroke ?
In a poll taken a few months back, it showed that almost a majority of people in this country believe that Obama is a Muslim. Does he have the support of the Black Churches ? Of course. Does he have the support of most atheists ? Of course. Does he have the support of liberal non-ethnic churches ? Of course. Why are they afraid to speak out ?
They know he went to school in Indonesia, was trained as a Muslim, educated as a Muslim, and now they go ahead and vote for him. Why ? They are afraid.
This man mocks the foundational document of our free society, the Bible. So, where are the protests from indignant Christians and Jews whose Scriptures he tramples ? Where are the preachers and dedicated Christians when he does this stuff ? They are afraid.
Here is what is going to happen. Because the only thing that facts do for most people is to raise their blood pressure--this guy will remain the most influential person in modern American history. And how will he influence the world ?
He will lead the country toward an Islamic, Sharia Law system that will subjugate all people who are not Muslim. If they fail to give their full allegiance, this is what the Bible says will happen--
Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
I'm not saying he is the antichrist, or that this will happen within the next year, but we are not far from it. The manner of execution by beheading is MUSLIM. It is not Christian, it is not Buddhist, or any other major religious influence today.
Obama merely uses the lie that GW Bush made popular, that Islam is a religion of peace, and that followers of Islam are genuinely kind and peaceful people. (Maybe some of them that don't study the Koran are, but a dedicated Muslim who studies and believes Mohammed and the Koran MUST become an extreme and prejudiced person).
The problem today is one of dedication. Muslims are more dedicated to their cause than so-called American patriots. We like to recall the quote, "Give me liberty, or give me death." But, Patrick Henry was serious.
He was dedicated to his cause. And joining him were men who also were serious and wintered in Valley Forge and followed Washington even through defeats. For the cause.
With militia and "patriots" constantly changing their line in the sand, "The Cause" has naturally been confusing (actually erased).
Yesterday I visited the website for the American Communist Party. They openly and wholeheartedly endorse Obama. The rest of the country has strong suspicions that he is at the very least, a socialist. But, even the Republicans running for the Presidency treat him with fear, not applying the label to his ideology. They know what he is, so why not say it ? Fear.
When the John Birch Society was popular, and Barry Goldwater was running for President, a bumper sticker came out that said, "Better dead than Red." Hardly anyone would subscribe to that today.
We live in a society of fear. We are afraid of the communists, afraid of the loss of our freedoms, afraid of Islam---and we review our fears every day. If Patrick Henry and those brave patriots in 1776 had done the same thing, we would not have had a history to look back upon and be thankful. Instead, these men and women allowed the fear of slavery to King George motivate them into taking a stand.
Bottom line. People in America today would rather live in fear than give their lives for a cause. In actual fact, they will end up doing both--for the wrong reasons.
We have gone past the point of return, I believe. We have abandoned our stand for God. We have not protested His ouster from our Courthouses, we have not objected to the methodically given pink slips over the past 8 years, telling God He is no longer wanted or needed in American education or any other part of our society.
Now, God reacts. Want a free society ? Try getting it without God. Want capitalism to work and make a decent living ? Try it without God and the changes He brings to people when they follow Him. Want to be known around the world as the place of true freedom ? Try to do that without God. Those things that we insist are precious to us are gone, or are going quickly. We will not have them without God. Losing them is scary.
The fear is natural. The fear we see now is just the beginning. It will soon come to the point where the daily news will bring mens hearts to fail from fear (Luke 21:26).
Yes, the world fears Islam. Or, is it really Islam that they fear ? Perhaps we actually fear one of the judgments of God that is simply wrapped in an Islamic flag, and refuse to acknowledge what it really is.
