I am thinking it is some other group looking to make a reputation from within the prison system. Anyone already capable of pulling off multiple bank robberies can pull off politically motivated assassinations, but the question which I think is pretty easy to answer, is what brought them to it. They are probably making demands right now but we are not hearing about it on the news.
