The Remingtons are most likely sniper rifles for the government assassins to shoot unarmed moms holding their babies like the fedcoat Lon Horiuchi who shot Vicki Weaver while she was unarmed and was holding her 10 month old baby. It was probably a no bid contract since some snipers love Remingtons even though Savage has a more accurate and more reliable design.
