Yeah, if their only goal was to get their children back, it worked. And maybe the Cubans will even grant them certain privileges the ordinary Cubans don't get, just for propaganda purposes, so it was probably a smart move. And since he's apparently a mechanical engineer, there's undoubtedly no shortage of work for him to do. But personally, Cuba would not have been my first choice, or even in the top ten.
