Anna Brown is getting to be something of a wild card in these proceedings. Nobody really knows which way she will go in a lot of stuff. She had been traditionally prosecution friendly at every turn, but it got to the point that the government side had just gotten so blatant about stuff that she figured it would also make her look bad, and that's where she starts shutting stuff down. She knows the old drug war rules that if you are going to play dirty, it has to be kept out of the courtroom. The new breed of feds want to play dirty AND rake you over the coals in court for it. That's where this stuff gets offensive to those in the legal professions because it makes their roles meaningless.

I had some dealing with her in years past, and I don't think anyone walked out of that with what they really wanted. Don't fool yourselves though, she is a statist through and through.
