Hard to appeal small level stuff like this - suspension. I mean, what will you get in court besides a tongue-lashing from the judge saying "this was bullshit?". You can't get the time back your kid was suspended. Maybe you can try defamation if the school published anything to the public. Other than that, there aren't really any damages and there's not much to get besides a "sorry, we fucked up". And the amount of time it would take a professional lawyer to do that would require serious amounts of fees, if that lawyer plans on paying his rent and his bills. Unless people fund a defense fund or something similar, there won't be anything a lawyer can do unless he's already ridiculously rich and can afford losing out on the time and money to do something.
