Explosive devices were reportedly mailed to both former President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
The package sent to Clinton was found outside her home in a New York City suburb by a technician Wednesday, the New York Times reports.
According to NY1, the package, identified as an improvised explosive device, was discovered around 1 a.m.
The Times reported a separate package was sent to the office of Obama, but was intercepted by the Secret Service in Washington, D.C.
The FBI and Secret Service are investigating. In a tweet, The FBI declined comment, citing an "ongoing investigation."

The incidents come one day after an
explosive device was found near the home of left-wing billionaire George Soros. Authorities say they believe that device, which was described as a pipe bomb, was left outside Soros' home and not delivered by the U.S. Postal Service, the Times reports.
In a statement the Secret Service said the packages sent to Obama and Clinton were "potentially explosive." The Secret Service also said it has initiated a full-scope investigation that "will leverage all available federal, state, and local resources to determine the source of the packages and identify those responsible."
