Over the last 4 years I have tried to package up some dry staple foods in Mylar with O2 absorbers that I store in plastic totes.

I have rice, oatmeal, maltomeal, powdered milk, powdered potatoes, elbow noodles, dehydrated onions, various soup mixes, dehydrated refried beans.

These are all in thick Mylar with the propped heat seal. Just curious how long these are going to be good for? I could always start a rotation of cycling these out into my kitchen and bagging up new ones each summer, but don’t want to if not needed.

I packaged up dry meals like this for my bug-out-bag rations. I should probably test some of my older ones to assure they are still good.
